>hehe look at his ai-made abomination
>hehe look at this funny ai-made picture
>pffft okay it looks passable but the hands are fricked
>okay the hands look good but it always uses the same artstyle
>okay it can almost perfectly copy different artstyles but it will never do video
>okay it can do video but it isn't perfect
YOU ARE NOW HERE
>okay it perfected video but it can't innovate
>sure, it can innovate but it will never be able to make videogames from scratch
>I admit it, it can make videogames from scratch but it will never be able to think
>okay it can create media but it can't make humans obsolete in other fields
>okay it can speed up some jobs using AI tools
>sure, some jobs are now obsolete and millions are unemployed but physical jobs will be fine
>I admit it, we need UBI as literally everything we do is less efficient than AI
>fine, it can think but it will never be used for nefarious ends
>I pity the dead who will never have to endure this hell

Can we at least leave Earth at somepoint? I't will at least get me slightly away from the fricked up tech.
The fricked up tech is going with whoever gets to mars first
How exactly do you intend to leave the earth without relying on fricked up tech? Are you gonna fricking swim to Mar's?
….they fixed hands?? When, where?!
SDXL fine-tunes, where have you been?
Really?? I’m going to the Stable Diffusion thread RIGHT NOW to consume all these fixed hands!
Go for it
>animeshit
Oh no no no
ai sisters, this is the best we can do?
what model and prompt did you use to generate this?
i adore the art style
It's novelai
artist:harada takehito, {artist:fizrotart}, {{cirno, touhou}} fine fabric emphasis
Negatives: white background, simple background, sketch, drawing, red eyes
thanks
cirno!
What an ugly generated slop for e-losers. Stop being an incel!
Hands have NOT been fixed, NO ONE is posting fixed hands in the Stable Diffusion thread. Frick you for gaslighting me.
>it will never be used for nefarious ends
who the frick says this? that's the first AI worry of everyone i know
I pray towards OpenAI’s datacenter 5 times a day now just in case
I mean the logical conclusion is that the human race will be gradually replaced by robots. I don't see the problem with this unless we believe continuing our specific species is an inherently good thing.
>another AI doom poster who has no clue what he is talking about
We literally need an AI board. I'm sick of this shit.
>hiroshimoot adding new boards
>>>/vt/
That was what made him decide to never make a new board again
/vt/ is the biggest shithole around but produces better memes than the rest of this shithole site has in years
Tech illiterate boomers are asleep at the wheel and doing nothing to avert disaster. By the time they act, it's already going to be over.
Be glad they aren't doing anything, because they'll just frick us all over by restricting gpu sales or some other half assed idea
>transformers
>innovating
Anon is literally falling for smoke and mirrors
Ok, but we are where we are and nothing changes that.
You actually have to acheive all those steps.
Subtle pic op
Don’t post it again

Google’s side quest, and the other half of the conversation
Is there anything AI created that I care for?
Knowledge, inventions, discoveries... food, music, video, photos?
This thing keeps regurgitating same old garbage over and over again. And I should care... why? Sure, random chatbots can answer some questions it picked up from websites not protected with a proper robots.txt, but without careful feeding of information in it, it can't do much. It only takes a few years of everyone denying OpenAI and Microsoft the ability to ingest training data by virtue of litigation threats, and I have a feeling this thing will stop generating anything useful at all.
The only thing ChatGPT is good for these days is boomers thinking they've beat a Google search and zoomers thinking they'll build TikTok 2.0 via prompt engineering. That, and scams. Same goes for dall-e.
>Is there anything AI created that I care for?
Unemployment. And even if that doesn't worry you, it should worry you that a large amount of the population will be unemployed in the next decade. And if that doesn't worry you, it should worry you that (they) know a large amount of the population will be unemployed in the next decade.
Unemployment based on... what?
You do realize most of the "shedding" these days is due to overhiring during covid? "Herp derp here's a ton of low interest loan money, let's just hire anyone with a pulse!"
Sure, there's a lot of jobs out there which will be lost due to automated moderation. But, frankly, most of these jobs can be replaced with wordfilters anyway. And AI is worse at determining the context of a text. Try telling ChatGPT to generate something even remotely controversial, or to determine whether something's good or bad... good luck!
Content moderation jobs came with the overproduction of garbage content on the internet. They'll leave at some point, and no one will care.
>The only thing ChatGPT is good for these days
You forgot porn
This t b h. Anyone who can program and tried using ChatGPT knows it makes coding HARDER because it just generates garbage you spend more time fixing than if you'd write it yourself from scratch.
The best it can do is (imprecise) stackoverflow copypasta or just reciting outdated official docs. Thanks ChatGPT.
Name one person who lost their job to "AI". Immovable goalpost: their job must be real, aka producing something of value. And no, social media slop is not valuable.
We're in the initial phases. Big companies won't adopt AI yet. They will let smaller companies innovate, buy up the best ideas then integrate them. If you can't see how this will eventually replace at least 50% of jobs in the next decade, you are frankly, moronic.
Question not answered. Call me when 1 single person producing anything of value will lose their job to "AI".
People will continue to lose their jobs to _automation_ but that is entirely different topic. It has nothing to to with the technology broadly called AI.
And I must repeat: rule34, tiktoks and reels, minecraft letsplays are not valuable. It's slop for sub 80IQs.
AI can't design machinery and infrastructure. It can't even make a shoe. It can't write a worthy story or a screenplay. It can't do shit.
All real work is done by humans with help of complex non-AI algorithms aka traditional software.
Something that makes billions isn't valuable?
No, money is not a proxy for value
Not necessarily.
90% of jobs don't produce anything of value. Doesn't mean it won't be a problem once all of those people are unemployable..
Only true for software slop industry. 90% of real world jobs do produce value. Even fast food servers and street sweepers produce more value than the entire historical output of OpenAI algos.
Restaurants are dying, fast food is increasingly automated. Who the frick is even going to have money to go there? Sweeping streets can be done cheaply and effectively by machines. Future survival will just be based on inheriting wealth, kissing rich people's boots, or being euthanized probably.
Restaurants are dying all the time, it what the restaurant industry is like. Real restaurant experience will never die because it's great and inherently human.
>fast food is increasingly automated
Sure McDonald's and the likes might get automated. And that's a good thing. The authentic places like cool oldschool bars, speakeasy types, vibey coffee shops, ethnic places, real kitchens will stay. People pay for the experience. People even travel to get to a specific place.
>Who the frick is even going to have money to go there?
Literally millions of people.
>Sweeping streets can be done cheaply and effectively by machines
It would be done by machines already if it was cheaper and more effective. It still isn't done by machines because machines are expensive, break, require maintenance and replacements, get stolen, and computer vision is still bad. Even the latest robot vacuums barely see shit.
>Future survival
You're done?
>Immovable goalpost: their job must be real, aka producing something of value
Would be a shame if the vast majority of jobs out there are pointless make work where they shuffle around files on computers and fiddle with spreadsheets+documents
>friend group disowns me because they're all artists and I showed them a funny AI image
Cool but when I look down on them for using macs despite apple being an evil company, i'm the bad guy.
They weren't friends ever worth hanging out with

So glad I didn't kill myself last night... just so I could bear witness to this news and kill myself tonight instead
If you're going to have a nice day, can you at least do some good. Maybe send a message directly to OpenAI.
