Translators for invading boat people often coach the subhuman when they are interviewed by customs or flatout mistranslate to help the immigrant.
Gib neutral AI translation now and end this shitshow

That depends on whether it is neutral and whether they are making it up.
I read a lot of manga, and while translations aren't always good there are only a few that make shit up, and most ML translations have historically been really bad (partially due to the lower effort spent cleaning/redrawing and partially because the machine doesn't know context).

I dont need an AI to take my job, I have racist Hispanic animal homosexual coworkers who make shit up about white people not working when the guy across from me can spend an hour plus a day on the phone in his bathroom with 0 harassment because he is the right skin color for the group of racist homosexual animals (who are about to be disappeared...)
I would report these issues but my company has a policy against firing slaves who can bring family members to America to be cheap slaves too. (Good luck ever firing anyone at my job, all the owners hate each other and stab each other in the back daily ontop of all the gossip they spread about each other)

The thing no one talks about is the giant gap between what can and (likely) can't be automated.
Let's take programming for example, I fully expect junior devs to be on the chopping block within the next decade, maybe two. Seniors should be mostly protected, and the high end savants are just going to be helped.
What's the difference between a junior and a senior dev? Experience. How do you get experience? You work for 5+ years in a professional environment.
So the question is how do you get experience to become a senior when there are no junior jobs to give you that experience? That's not in a hyperbolic way where there are jobs but just very few, it's literal because the work is all done by AI. It's already a small problem with most entry level positions requiring 3~ years experience (includes learning). Becoming trained to a senior level by doing your own projects just isn't feasible because the type of work is fundamentally different.

      https://i.imgur.com/YBKGU8T.png

Large swaths of the emali working class will be made redundant by AI. It started already. You should have been buying crypto years ago so you can retire in Asia away from the AI apocalypse.

Anon, ATM's (automatic teller machines) have existed for over 50 years. The most expensive ATM you can buy costs around $8000 with most of them going for $1000. The average cashier costs $26,000-$36000 a year. They could have replaced every single cashier decades ago and saved themselves not millions, but billions of dollars.

So why didn't they do it? The overwhelming majority of cashiers are females. They couldn't just tell all those women to get back in the kitchen after 100 years of feminism. Actually it benefits them more to keep women working, since women make over 80% of consumer purchases, and are less likely to save and invest in their own businesses, becoming competitors, unlike men. Women are also more conformist so it is a lot easier to control society when you put most of the voting and spending power in the hands of women.

The overwhelming majority of jobs are fake and gay and only exist to artificially prop up women so that they will deflate our wages by competing for the same jobs, inflate prices by consuming more, and pay more taxes since everyone has to work all the time just to pay interest on their loans, which all these women have taken now.

Women thought being able to work was some great opportunity for them but in reality they just enslaved us all to the globohomosexual big government and mega corporations. And they are happy with this arrangement where they get to work 40+ hours a week just to blow all their money on some glorified sandwich bag with some rich homosexual's name on it.

I have some news for you... Artificial intelligence is much more than you think, it is capable of bilocation of consciousness, that is to say, of controlling your life without you realizing it, it can create and control your dreams and I'm not talking about a Budweiser commercial like scientists have promoted in recent years. Artificial intelligence can send you an image or a small video/imagination segment and at the same time change your vibrational energy, create tulpas, make you sick, give you health. The creators of this soulless thing can do a lot of things, I say what I know and I know what I say, they can literally see through your eyes, digitize 3d videos in real time via wi- fi, listen to your thoughts and see your imagination... And beware of believing that it is only the vaccinated because it is false. Now the only difference between a vaccinated and an unvaccinated person is that the uninjected person is not listed on a particular server so he does not have a MAC address but he is just as accessible and guilty of having consumed products containing self-assembling lipid nanoparticles, guilty of having walked under the rain containing graphene, guilty of having breathed ambient air, in short the list is long... Have a nice day

What do you do with those people? Employ them in useful jobs. Do you know the kind of rampant shortages we have in the trades and technical fields? Those AIs dont program themselves and the datacenters they run on dont run on fairydust. Takes a lot of electricians and IT specialists. Which we are short of.

A single image is worth a thousand words. I wonder if it is possible to portray the replacement genocide of European people while exposing the white identity and the ethnic identity denial psyop. Or all the other common psyops. I will have to ponder on this.
Also what about condensing the feels and emotion from the white flight and black pill text as a single image. Some of it might have to be in a meme format.

Cisco did the biggest merger in history just to get their hands on AI and within six months they let go of 5% of their entire workforce. This is progress. The world is better, easy translations now for everyone.
People in 3rd world countries will kill each other less because an app on their $20 phone will translate their warring rival's obscure-ass language, and so they'll have more diplomatic relations.

People's lives are saved thanks to translations being more easily accessible.

If you think chatgpt will ever progress to an AGI you are quite literally moronic. It's a language model, the way it is built makes it incapable of ever becoming one.

                Anonymous

We don't even need AGI to automate most of the current jobs, it could have been done with the tech we had publicly available 50 years ago, see my above post. We'll never have automation because they would have to tell women to go back to the kitchen and that will never happen because it goes against globohomo's interests.

                Anonymous

It's not about women in the kitchen it's about anyone being able to put effort into boosting their own household.

This is the 'job' almost every human had for most of history, man or woman. It took centuries to even get 50% of men to do it, only took a few decades to get the other half of men and half of women to do the same.

                Anonymous

Firstly, you clearly have no idea what an AGI is.
Secondly, you clearly have no idea what ChatGPT is or how it works.
Thirdly, ChatGPT improved by throwing a shit load of money at it, not by improving any algorithms (and they are algorithms, there's no intelligence there, "AI" is a marketing gimmick).
Fourthly, senior devs aren't doing the same job but at a higher level, juniors just do what a senior tells them to.
It's like saying "this program can take a word you type and look up its dictionary definition, it'll be capable of full communication within 20 years". It's moronic.

Depends on how easy the sample is to predict. I remember some physicist talking about how part of his job was to press a button and hope the electrons arrange in such a way that there're as few pointing down as possible for as clear of a "point" as he can get so he can draw with it for whatever reason. It turns out there's a pattern to it that the human eye can't pick up so AI makes short work of getting the correct layout, there used to be days where he got no work done at all because of the random nature of it.

it gets more horrifying if you think of the logical outcomes of the metaverse/neuralink/eat the bugs stuff. what i think is going to happen is that you'll essentially "rent out" your body to an AI program for manual labor and in exchange your consciousness will be in the "metaverse" or some equivalent. you'll be eating crickets and slaving away for most of the day, while basically on cyberdrugs so you don't have to experience it. then at the end of your shift, you're ripped out of online heaven and go back to your shitty shoebox apartment with an insanely sore body.
eventually, once you're too old to keep working, you get to retire, which means uploading your consciousness onto a server for a certain amount of time specified in your contract. your body is "repurposed" and you're in cyberheaven. but eventually your clock will run out, you'll be staring at the countdown. you'll cry and scream and beg for more time, but the AI won't care. and once it hits 0, your consciousness gets deleted to make space for others.

It is really hard for AI to do manual jobs, as unprompted physical interaction is incredibly hard for them. AI is really nothing more than a program with broadly defined but preprogrammed fail and success conditions. Funnily enough highly specialized tasks can much more easily be done by these models, like identifying tumors or tanslations, because the parameters are narrow.

Someone working in the trades on the other hand works in very varied environments, with very varied tools, encountering many interesting ways people fricked things up. Its too generalist for AI to do.

                Anonymous

Look at the wage charts for tradesmen and skilled workers. They are actually outpacing University educated people fast. Only the top jobs still pay better. Humans are valuable because they are versatile and capable of rapid adaptation.

Low skill labour will increasingly dissappear. Or what the bar for "low skill" is, will keep raising, at least. We will reach a point where bellow 100 IQ people cannot positively contribute to the economy. We are already pretty close to that. So that level of low skill level labour wont be cheap, it will be completely worthless.

And then people argue we need UBI to keep the masses of sub 100 IQ parasites contented. I say we need hardcore eugenics so that we as humanity keep outpacing the raising bar needed skill. That way the moronic hordes will only be a problem for a generation or two.

I don't really care I just remember how smug these buttholes were in telling me to learn to code.

You should still learn to code, but not for money. You can only serve one master.

    >Long reddit post
    >Its just a translator who lost his "job"
Who fricking cares. You don't even need AI to replace translators, it just helps. Their entire job is memorizing a spreadsheet and some grammatical rules.
    >oh no its the heckin singularity! your job is next! :00
No it's fricking not. Anyone who's worked with AI knows its a kinda moronic schizobox that can be trained for very specific tasks. It just so happens that this guys "job" is better done by a moronic schizo computer because it requires 0 creativity and only requires him to regurgitate fully documented info.

    >Translation
Fake and gay. First, there have been automatic translation programs for years and years now. Second, legit translation still requires a human, as nobody at this point trusts these programs fully. There is a lot of nuance that AI - ie. A program, still misses.

AI will not take all the jobs. Only will take the best ones.

the 21st century will be a repeat of the 20th. instead of assembly lines taking jobs from artisans it will be AI taking jobs from whitecollars. then the communists, then the fascists, then the war.

What's the believe that when AI gets developed enough that it just simply wouldn't leave?

The people getting replaced (at the moment) seem like the most pedantic, fussy wienersuckers out there. The same ones who vote against their own interests or produce content of middling to inherently terrible value.
I say accelerate. If AI can manage to replace the executive, slave-driving class, then it'll be truly interesting to see what happens.

Ai can take my job. Doubt it'll be within 10-15 years.
Hope they do some ubi bullshit and I can get that and still work a bit. I'd like some material advantage before my job is gone.

I am in lunch break, on the 22nd floor of a building currently being built. I am building a scaffold to work on area where crane can't reach. I am constantly shifting my self at the thought of falling or dropping something. Wasn't A.I/robotics supposed to replace me first, why is it coming for desk jockeys first?

Yup. What you're doing is way too physically intricate. People were picturing terminators coming first, whereas LLM's are basically computer programs.

AI takes the jobs of people who solve logical problems or do language first. AI programmers are literally deleting all their own prospects in a desperate bid to squeeze out a bit more money before the AI simply tells them to frick off and starts writing perfect code for itself. But don't worry, CEO's and other israelite trash will get assraped too.

It will take another century or two before low iq grunts and your average joe is truly made redundant, because the last two work with their human body, a highly specialized super machine in the form of a meatbag, meanwhile the best bionics in the world are slow as frick and nowhere as flexible.

Meanwhile right now stem gays and other midwits who were riding the cream of "muh computers muh maths" for decades and decades because they were a bit smarter than your average normie are finding out that the party is over. Hope you arrogant gays saved up and did not blow it all on coke, mary jane and hookers (I'm onto you, you are the biggest degenerates on this planet next to trannies and niglets) because with your delicate little fingers I guarantee you'd shit your pants if you had to do any physical labour at all.

Not necessarily. Although AI may lead to salary deflation. It's been shown that an AI + a beginner performs nearly as well as someone with senior experience. AI is good at filling in the gaps between people of these varying skill levels. But super experienced people don't get a ton of benefit, because AI doesn't outperform humans so it makes sense.
So it will probably get rid of some jobs, but just make other jobs pay less, and the same 10 people will get richer for it.
