High barrier to entry and low demand even if it has high salary. It will be like another learn to code shit and i will never take the bait again. Coding sucks and mind numbing as a job, as least i can make a website now.
Pourring so many hours, but I'm still a noob.
Im a midwit. AI dev is for 120+ IQ
What do AI devs even do? Just try different shit until one of the things you try is better than SoTA at your particular goal? I'm too moronic for that.
I tried to use scikit-learn for AoC and one of the functions was not 64bit capable.
Absolute trash.
it doesnt interest me (because im too stupid? im too dumb to know)
Rather than specialize yourself to become an almost useless person in an endless rat race with other smart people on how much of a genius you are, you could have just worked for the government to leech or join the finance/business instead.
How cam we make software engineering to not be a rat race anymore?
By making real AI then we kill all the israelites and politicians. Everyone get comfy NEET ticket so we can indulge ourselves on our passion projects or just have fun with the family.
israelites and politicians will own AI more that the developers as large LLMs will need investment of millions or billions.
Se they will kill you first as they will not need developers anymore, all will be done by the AI.
Do you think the common people will just sit there like sheep for them to massacre once they see the enlightenment? There are plenty of genius that have moral or have savior complex and they will work for the betterment of mankind and the one thing they need is a common enemy. The israelite's empire is falling apart in real time too. Give me NEET or give me death, there is nothing in between
>next big thing
Im not cattle. I rather learn to code to make homebrew games for mips 32 architectures
this is the current thing the next thing will be something else maybe even more useless
i did, now I'm going to apply it to studio anime for $$$ and most importantly, fun!
"ai dev" job will get replaced by ai very soon, it's a waste of time
the cutting edge in AI is in the mathematical theory and porting the execution to C++ or >Rust
>the cutting edge in AI is in the mathematical theory and porting the execution to C++ or >Rust
The math of mostly post hoc rationalization for why something magically works.
The actual algorithms don't need much math.
algorithms are math. But they're done once and then implemented and then copy pasted over a million times.
I hate people like you and not being on your team is more than worth the money I'll miss out on.
while AI is a genuinely useful for many things and a valid career path, it's a small niche field and the current hype bubble is unsustainable
AI shit is so boring to me and i dont think its that impressive

NGMI
What's the new hype shit?
The only relevant shit is pytorch.
Elitists would use ggml
Hypsters are into tinygrad
It is yet another fad that will pass as did all the other ones.
I did. But turns out I prefer working on infrastructure, so I build cluster management software at work but at home I just work on cumbots.
it's a meme
computers don't have souls, real artificial intelligence is never going to happen, the singularity is never going to happen
it's just scamming midwits out of money with fancy magic tricks
>source: it's written in the script i'm following, beep boop
t. dumb hylic
I'll wait for it to settle, AI may be the next big thing but it seems like every second there there's a new Next Big Thing within AI.
Is that a good book for starters? I have had plans to learn more about it but have been too occupied but other bullshit in my life.
AI engineers will be like network admins of a company. Some companies invest in a local AI models and need one or two guys to set it up and keep running, but not army of them.
AI engineers will not be like programmers. You only need few and so many programmers will do the switch, so competition is going yo be fierce.
I don't want to encourage it, or have any part in it. Because "AI" will simply be used as more leverage against us, in the form of monitoring and control at levels they can't achive otherwise.
I am
