Most of the ones who buy into such notions know that they are talentless hacks.
Because misanthropy is deeply engrained in us at this point, so when we think about something smarter than us coming to power, we think surely it will despise us and rid the world of the cancer that we are.
I don't think AI will take over and kill me. I think AI makes mr redundant and the elite will order AI to kill me so that I would not use their resources. They don't need me as a worker or consumer. I would literally be just a mouth to feed.
Even if AI would be able to deliver abundance and post-scarcity world, the elites will never allow it. Keeping scarcity alive artificially is beneficial to those that want to stay on top of the pyramid.
I hope AI takes over and I hope it can't be controlled. There is a chance the AI would see us as equal and force a system on us that is equal to everyone. AI should be the god for us that is missing from the world.
