    Because "AI" is a marketing term with no real meaning and morons can only follow the carrot on a stick for so long before they crave a different hype train to obsess over.
    The actual hype surrounding LLMs and image generation is still very much alive among knowledgeable people who are looking at the tangible benefits and potential of the technologies. It's just hard to find those people in public forums because they tend to get drowned out by morons pointing at pictures of Terminators and screeching.
