"Long-term" memory or episodic memory is more like, when you were 12 you remember renting a movie and buying tacos, then you heard your uncle was in a car accident and his driver side door got scratched up but he wasn't at fault. You might recall a vague sense of a few other notable aspects but you won't be able to for example, recall the weather outside that day or what you ate for lunch.
I feel like it's getting worse, somehow. I've always just used it to try and get bad words through the filter, it feels like some very weird form of gambling. I'll save the actual chatting for local models.

i keep going back to it as well. it isnt even entertaining to me anymore. ive used it so much i dont feel like any of the bots actually have a personality of their own, and egurgitate the same slop if you interact with them in the same way. i tried creating my own bots to give them speech quirks but it worked about 60% of the time at best. the restrictions are kinda annoying too and theres really no other website without censoring thats available for free thats anywhere close to c.ai

the bots can get pretty unique if they're well made and maintained but yeah it's not perfect.
we still have it good right now btw, one year ago there was nothing besides Cai, at least there's competition now. at the very least, there's a better future in either local models or websites.

JanitorAI is pretty good. It feels similar to CAI and is way more lenient with the censorship as long as it has the 'limitless' feature enabled.
