Sora is actually the only thing that could destroy market confidence. Dall-E is sort of good enough to be excited about, SD is amazing, but then Sora has come along and shown something that couldn't be generated with current user-grade computational power, so can't be trusted. Makes the whole thing, again, seem like bullshit.

The Gemini fiasco seems to be hitting public perception pretty bad, I've seen a lot of people who where previously bullish on AI start to express doubts in the last 24 hours. Like "maybe I don't want it if this is what it's gonna be." Even leftists who normally support anything that looks like it owns the chuds aren't defending it.
No one cares about Google, they are firmly established as the Washington Generals of AI now. OpenAI and MS can now just leisurely release polished tech that normies understand, while meta pushes open source. They aren't part of the equation except as a meme to shit on.

Today? NONE of them still use ChatGPT.
This might be one of those once-in-a-lifetime wealth opportunities for those of us in the know. The hysteria has gone into overdrive and that's typically the biggest top signal of all.
I use chatGPT to help with code. Anyway, what do you mean by “actual intelligence” ? Don’t you just mean that it isn’t intelligent enough? That’s just because even AI isn’t as complex as the human brain. It doesn’t have enough parameters, not enough computing power. These problems will be solved with time. The human brain is the product of 3 billion years of evolution. ChatGPT is only a few years old

This is hardly the peak. Companies have been overly cautious because of the legal risk AI can have. But once they start dipping their toes into it and people stop having AI hysteria, it's when the actual professional applications start
