It can generate code, but it can't write an actual app unless you're just talking about some trivial toy app. I use them to automate some aspects of coding as well, but the claim was that they could make an app or video game from an English language description. This is just not possible.
It's very possible, just have it map the sentences to entities, verbs, and predicate objects, and then represent those object relationships in a UI.
