aren't sufficiently big open source software also a target for malicious stuffs, you would think an open source AGI will create code faster than it can be reviewed

      >muh use another AI to check its code

and who is going to check the AI of the AI checker?

it's like poetry we will go extinct if this research is allowed to continue

I love how AI art has got artists malding all over Twitter and acting like Luddites.

At what stage? It's a continuum from 0 people all the way to every single person. And we're already somewhere in the middle, AI of some sort has replaced millions of jobs already.

I asked dall-e to draw an AI robot taking over the world and I'm not gonna lie, this looks pretty menacing. It stares into my soul.

I can get an AI to draw scary images for me. All I have to do is write a story and I can do a web comic pretty darn quickly.

not sure about that, while it generates acceptable images on their own it's still way off to do actual work eg. doesn't get the concept of "same character" so you'll get unrecognizable generations between panels

I tried both Midjourney and Dall-E (full), they both suck lol. They just spit out some random artistic image and "wow amazing". But it can't generate anything remote I want. Sucks honestly. Maybe in a few more years..

      >Dall-E (full)
You didn't. The actual full AI is only available to few people.
