what results are they expecting to get from this "experiment"?

It not being noticeable enough so they can pack more ads into your movies in a kind of truman show experience.

Its a potentially good idea, but most movies made now would be made around this with big "digital billboards" showed more prominently

        >Its a potentially good idea,
        you're a retarded fucking moron.

they'd need the ads to be period appropriate otherwise it will just stick out like a sore thumb.
Ad copy today looks a lot different than in the 70's 80's or 90's

chinks don't give a shit about that. it's all about making money from advertisers. they'd put a colour advert in a black and white movie. that's how fucking stupid your average chink is.

That would be a win-win, they get to put targeted ads and pirated versions will just keep them blank and adfree

          >blank and adfree
Meh, mauybe better some time relevant art in there. I always wanted to change adds for art. Empty walls and billboards are souless.

Pirated versions would have the ads served to the ripper. The same technique would work as a unique watermark too.

Probably so they can sell it to advertisers, now even legacy media won't be safe (on netflix, amazon, etc)

    Physical and piracy remains king.

Are movies still being released on dvd? I wouldn’t mind starting my own dvd rip archive up. I’m not a gay, I don’t care about blu-ray.

Not as much as before, a lot are just bluray. I'd just get either DVD or bluray, there is nothing bad about bluray.

hollywood had a run of race/sex swapping and got btfo at the box office and viewer ratings. it hasn't been an experiment that has worked well for them and has cost studios hundreds of millions of dollars in losses. if they want to lose even more money then i am all for it.

the british advertising industry is seen around the world as a comical farce. these people would literally rape their own grandmothers if it would guarantee a corporation doing business with them. they have no morals or any intelligence whatsoever. amazingly, garden gnomes actually look great in comparison to those obese inbred british retards.

Don't they already do this with new material? They film with placeholders and then add the actual product placement and ad stuff in post. That way they can switch them to different brands when their contracts end.
