This is what I alluded to in my earlier post.
They use two sets of data to train the algorithm used to create videos like this.
Set 1 is videos of the person they are trying to re-create.
Set 2 is a videos of an actor that look similar to the person they are re-creating mouthing the words and doing the gestures that they want in the video.
You put those two data sets together and you get a video of the person doing anything you want. The voice part is obviously the easiest part since that was the first thing they managed to get working with algorithms.
