Do morons think that they get to control anything they put on the Internet? Do they really not understand that when you post something publicly literally anyone can do whatever the frick they want with it?

PayWalt content is different from shit you post on your Tumblr page. Just because you posted it here does not mean it's copyrighted. Otherwise I should be able to ask moot to pay me royalties for this very post since it's technically helping him drive ad traffic

Go sell copies of any and all images posted on the internet and tell me how that goes. Or how your claim works if someone else uploads something of yours to the internet.

Seems to be going great for the Chinks and Jeets, they've been doing it for over a decade.

This is not the same as selling copyrighted material. They're just trained on them and they can delete the original material after that. Once the original material is deleted, there's really nothing for creators to be mad about.

The material being produced here are originals. Creators should stop acting like fricking snowflakes and go frick themselves.

Who gives a shit about selling? It's not what the web is about.

    >musicians artists, novelists and other creatives feed off past works of others and channel influences into new art forms, all legal and encouraged
    >an AI does the same and everyone loses their minds

      Anonymous

It's not the same, an artist understands why knowing past works and referencing them is important for future projects, you can never be completely original and they know that, but the artist understands the importance of anatomy, color theory, perspective, it's a basic need for any drawing or painting to work. The same goes for musicians and making music
An AI doesn't know what picture composition is, what color theory is, it doesn't UNDERSTAND WHY it's doing it, mixing matching whatever they were told to do.. it will never actually be original since it doesn't know basics but it's pretending to know and that's why it looks like it understands.. but it doesn't.......... Maybe in the future they will, but for now you can't call AI "art" real art

These artist and filmmakers, show they have no creativity. They just work hard and through the process stumble on things and some aspects gets misunderstood and in new light becomes unique.

With the coming Sora revolution, it will be a new type of person leading the way, the lazy autistic ones.

What's the point of defining a concrete goalpost like "hands"? You do realize this just helps AI acceptance in the long-run, right?

        Anonymous

Hands are just something that is consistently poorly handled by AI.
        It's not a concrete goalpost.

          >consistently
Now compare the hands in SD 1.5 to SDXL, then SDXL to finetunes of SDXL, then to stable cascade or SD3
You'll easily notice that your "consistently" is disappearing, even within one brand of models

If the AI is trained on public works it should have to be open source that's my opinion. IF they really only trained Sora on synthetic and/or legally purchased data that's one thing but I really doubt it.

    wait a minute.
aren't artist the ones that copy other's work until they become good artists?
isn't that the common practice in whatever school they go?
secondly, aren't those artists getting influenced by the work of others, not only art, but also everything and everyone who interacts with them?
did they ask for permission on any of those?
