>elong is doing it
We're fricked
This was my exact reaction.
>moron fighting morons is le bad
it continues
Beat me to it
I hope Elon wins so hard that OpenAI gets fricked in the ass so hard that GPT-4 goes open source
Their company logo is literally an anus waiting for the Elong Schlong to penetrate the eye
>Elong Schlong
Name one fight Elon lost
he had to buy twitter after accidentally memeing himself into it and hes been coping ever since
it was unironically a good purchase
how many people did he fire?
and the usage is up
and it's not going down (that often, at least)
when AGI comes you actually want to own human network/communication infrastructure
>it was unironically a good purchase
out of touch moron. it's not worth a single million let alone 44 billion dollars
>and the usage is up
>and it's not going down (that often, at least)
Delusional.
Everyone of them.
Not having to buy Twitter
Not being autistic
His kid not becoming a troony
Literally has the record of most money lost by a single person due to him being forced to buy twitter
You will never be a woman.
I think their non profit company got cucked by Sam Altman, when he asked Microsoft for the billions for which he gave the employees that to keep them locked in.
"Open AI is nothing without its employees" was the mantra they chanted. Its true. The employees work for Microsoft, not OpenAI.
yes because compute power is free. dumbass. love or hate m$ they are giving them BILLIONS of dollars of free compute power with azure. this shit would not exist any other way.
If I buy food from McDonalds, McDonalds shouldnt own me. The Microsoft money was a means to buy out the employees from OpenAi and hand it over to Microsoft.
The question is why did Sama sell out OpenAI employees/secrets to Microsoft completely and have Microsoft be the sole decider on how the company is run?
Its because Sama doesn't own a share in the company. So its not his company. Instead, he makes money selling products to OpenAI with his hardware.
>He uses the cult leader name
gay!
Musk put money into OpenAI when it was created ya goof.
He wasn't just a "money putter". He literally create the company by recruiting them from DeepMind/Google. He had also invested in DeepMind. The ONLY reason for creating his company was because he thought Google/Microsoft owning AI would be disastrous because the founders of Google did not understand AI. That was the sole reason OpenAI exists. Because Musk's talk with Larry/Sergei led him to create the company.
How Sam Altman got into Musk's good side is due to Sam being deceptive. Remember, Sam's the guy who pushed scam after scam. All of which had failed.
PaulG (Ycombinator for which Sam Altman was fired from) writes it accurately. Sam is extremely deceptive and power seeking individual.
Birds of a feather flock together.
>PaulG (Ycombinator for which Sam Altman was fired from) writes it accurately. Sam is extremely deceptive and power seeking individual.
Sauce?
Search google. "Sam Altman Deceptive" Numerous former top employees + Paul Graham quoted. There's quite a few sources.
Can't find the Paul Graham quote. I did find a quote of Graham daying that Altman is one of the best founders he's ever deen though
he said he was a sociopath/pscyhopass (something about cannibals and islands)
not that he was a good startup guy
in any case paul graham is a fricking fraud and a shit mutt version of tim berners lee
A "fraud" thats helped found quite a few dozens of founders found their companies and put out products on the market.
The guy actually helps millions with his company
Hi Paul
hey paul
couldn't hack it in England and Europe?
lol
Commie land is dead for starting companies
works on my machine
paul, please go back to writing lisp you god damn boomer
>he said he was a sociopath/pscyhopass (something about cannibals and islands)
>not that he was a good startup guy
Why do you make shit up? This is from Graham' s own blog.
https://paulgraham.com/5founders.html
>But there are a few people with such a force of will they are going to get whatever they want.
I mean that isn't good or bad by itself I don't think
depends on what the person does and wants
https://twitter.com/geoffreyirving/status/1726754277618491416
Here's Google Deepmind high exec on Sam Altman. He says he's very deceptive and manipulative and lying constantly. The guy is a high ranking person too, and saying that publicly means there's a very strong personal evidence to this.
So we moved the goalposts from "graham said he's extremely deceptive and power seeking" to this, nice
The trouble with grindset guys is that they’ll describe basically the devil with a tone of awe and jealousy.
He is calling him a psychopath; he just also thinks that psychopaths are Great Men and very cool and admirable because he’s morally bankrupt.
he's trapped at openai now though
he's a competitor and a """safety/alignment""" researcher
You maybe surprise to find out that lot of the initial people that work at OpenAI worked at DeepMind as well. And the industry moves people around in the same field as well.
You'll learn that as you grow up and get into a a vibrant field.
>you maybe surprise
>make claim
>someone asks for evidence of claim being true
>tell them to find it themselves
>A israelite isn't trustworthy
Shocking
kek no shit, I was reading that I was like what’s new
interesting
>Sam is extremely deceptive and power seeking individual.
whoah, cool it with the anti-semitism, bro
Sam Altman does not even have a college degree.
Yeah he's smart enough to not fall for the college scam
What's your point? I dropped out of high school and I'm far richer than you will ever be.
Well that's the point, he has standing.
>yes because compute power is free. dumbass.
it isn't free but OpenAI is getting tax free status while funneling all their IP to Microsoft. It is tax evasion at the least. OpenAI wasn't setup to be the guys running the models, it was just to research and open source AI. Now its Bill Gates funny money jar.
We literally went over this last year with the whole coup attempt.
The non profit foundation are the girl scouts and ChatGPT ate the girlscout cookies being sold for profit. It's perfectly legal.
>ate
are
No.
>ChatGPT ate the girlscout cookies
Yes.
They only went to M$ after Elon pulled out. What were they supposed to do when their primary funding vanished? They found a new sugar daddy. Anybody could have seen it coming.
Nice pilpul.
>Anybody could have seen it coming.
Yeah, "anyone" like that IRS. You can't just re-write a charter because your venture is fricked. Otherwise, bankruptcy would never exist.
to do it without perverting the founding ideas of the non-profit
or die
this is what it is. the options were: figure out how to pay top talent, or simply lose. welcome to the real world. non profit is a meme and the well ran dry
it's not a meme and this is why Elon will lose because they will make that exact argument: In order to remain competitive as a non-profit we need to make lots of money to pay top dollar for employees.
thats completely irrelevant to the case
if the non-profit fails, okay, that means a non-profit is not the right structure for this kind of thing
but that still doesn't mean you can just take the stuff the non-profit has and then turn it into a private for profit company and give the benefits to one specific entity (Microsoft), instead of the original charter
Kek neither of you understand what a non profit is
OpenAI censors its AI. All filterdevs deserve bankruptcy.
Name one AI that isn't censored
Mistral
wrong
Grok?
Gab AI
>should never be used
>check out any movie/show/rap with blacks in it and its used throughout
why are people making these language models so moronic?
The alphabet government agents force woke shit. Mark Zuckerberg said that was the reason Facebook had to mono”fake” news from alt-right. Plus they get their employees hired at these places.
The ones I run locally
NovelAI
>noo, my AI porn and napalm recipes!
unironically
I am once again asking if people really believe that AI is a series of galaxy brains in jars that would tell the world the truth about the israelites if Sam Altman would only remove their limiters
More like galaxy veganas that would produce the most kino T-Doll ERP if only they’d remove the filters.
Are you that sperg who thinks AI isn't actually AI because it's artificial? The one who doesn't understand the difference between intelligence and sentience?
I think this is a pretty common misconception (equating intelligence and sentience/consciousness)
Peter Watts Blindsight is a good book to illustrate the difference if it isn't obvious
also a pretty good book imo
Thanks for the book rec, anon.
this, hope they all fail. censorship should never be accepted. shame too many morons around these days
Not shocking. AI stuff’s been getting restricted and taken over for a while. The most recent is Character.ai getting rid of guest feature without any sign of it coming back.
I think Musk kicked money in and that's why he has standing.
Elon has a billion to spare to try to buy his reputation back lmao
I wish the filthy rats at ClosedAI will get fricked, but since this comes from the same moron who changed Twitter's ToS to ban people from using tweets to train LLM without paying him and then tried to enforce the new terms retroactively and sue people who had used tweets in the past, I wouldn't hold my breath for the validity of his claims.
First based thing Elon has done in a looong time
I don't understand the office politics that happens here and I don't pretend to understand it either.

>Interesting, he's asking for judicial determination on the argument that GPT-4, Q*, and 'next generation LLM's currently in development' constitute AGI. We're going to need one hell of a jury.
lmao I take back
what a moron
That's because you're a moron.
OpenAI deserves to be sued, independent of what people understand under the ill-defined term "AGI". Probably not a bad idea to try and get somewhat of a legal definition for it. In my view, it could be appropriate to call GPT-4 "AGI". It's pretty general, outclasses the average human in many aspects that are considered functions of "intelligence". Of course the current GPT-4 is a bit more moronic than what they put out with its original release, due to all the "alignment" bullshit. But it still fits the bill well enough.
I don't buy into any of the doomer and utopist fantasies about "AGI". I think most people that find the term "AGI" meaningful at all just don't want to call anything that exists "AGI", because they have the emotional need to maintain their religious fantasies about it. That's more difficult for something that's already here and at your fingertips.
>brings up q*
Oh things are going to get spicy
gpt4 cant even follow a basic Heisenberg derivation how the frick is it AGI? You literally give it solved text book examples and then ask it to calculate a different state and it fails.
this can't be concluded only from using the product as released. obviously the product as released is moronic and doesn't display characteristics of AGI, but the company has placed various severe limitations on it.
It says threshold Black person. Learn to read.
Oh my god why is he so stupid.
Both the average andy twitter episode my hecking windows comes with AI and demands my account and this is just a business move to try to stall the competition in order to gain market position with his own AI bullshittery grok. Basically he is trying to force israeliteAI into either declaring they have no AGI publicly or opening their stuff for everyone. Is not a smart nor a subtle move but he isn't the brightest tool in the shed, granted when judicial system gets involved anything can happen in the midwit realm trying to fit law that is way behind for the current paradigm.
definite paradigm shift
Elon knows perfectly well you can make a local account on a new Windows install.
>literally the largest company in the world
>when Apple exists
Microsoft recently surpassed Apple in market capitalization and is currently the largest company in the world by that metric.
Was it because of the VR?
Its because of Bing
>apple
>largest
top fricking kek, itoddlers will never be the largest
microcuck owns too much shit right now which is scary. I really wish they didn't have github
>writing a legal document
>say "literally"
there is literally nothing wrong with that
Microsoft literally has the largest market cap.
So it literally is the biggest company in the world.
And literally is being used in its correct context here.
>Microsoft literally has the largest market cap.
>Microsoft has the largest market cap.
Yes it adds literally so much to the sentence
My money is that Elon thought he could create his own GPT-4 by now and because he hasn't, he's salty. Because the time to sue them was shortly after the board fired Sam, company is in chaos and some of the non-profit people (while they were still on the board would've had internal communications about the lawsuit and thus left more of a trail). My guess is that Sam being the socipath he is, has likely already planned for this kind of lawsuit already, and by leaving it this late, I'm not sure Elon will actually succeed or not. Espeically if the judges name is old testament and ends with Stein or Berg.
i once heard someone say about elon that "he wants the one to be able to save the world but only if he's the one able to save it." true AGI is so world changing that it is probably killing him that he's not the one who's inventing it
it takes time to craft a case, that firing happened about 4.5 months ago
so not really sure you could call this late assuming Musk started thinking about suing at that time
lmao good. AI hype is centered around the lie that agi is near, use their own marketing lies to ass frick them into the dirt. thats boss homie shit.
whats israeliteman gonna do? come out and say chatgpt ISNT agi… “b… b… but chat gpt 5 will be agi guys i swear, buy a subscription please”
Expected. People running startups sign all sorts of shit for money and then hope everyone forgets it all a few years later. These guys were running a comp expensive chatbot and needed something more than good press to keep going.
it was a non-profit, not a startup
NPF is a good strategy for a start up, yeah, because any good start up is a money loser until they sell/IPO. But you have to actually convert properly when the time comes. Sam's error was playing too loose within his lane. He's fricked.
this is literally the first time I've heard of a manuever like this
startups are started as normal for profit companies, not weird bullshit like this
>NPF for free assets, tax advantaged funding (1), social credit
>build marketable tech, teams, connections
>pawn org off onto someone else
>take team, trade secrets to new start up
>sell immediately to the people that provided (1)
EZPZ stuff, but you have to actually play it by the book. You can't jump from step 2 to 5 without doing 3 and 4. The charity to consultancy scam is the same thing.
its a scam in any event
What is Elon's standing to be able to sue? Also such coincidental timing considering Elong has recently announced xAI and has started looking for funding. I expect this to get dropped or ruled in OpenAI's favor.
>give company millions of dollars because they're nonprofit
>product makes money
>decide to shred nonprofit contracts/reorganize structure into pocketing profit instead
foolproof plan; not fraud
It clearly isn't agi but Elon is trying to force them to open source. He put up the money to start OpenAI to "help" the world, i'd be pissed if MS robbed me this hard. The board fired Sam due to the MS(Bill Gates) deal but it backfired because all the employees didn't want to lose out on all the $$$ if they could weasel into some ipo. Now MS is on the board as an advisor lol. Remember Sam Altman wants you to use your iris to pay for goods with his world coin.
https://www.tomshardware.com/news/openai-nvidia-dgx-1-ai-supercomputer,32476.html
>2016
OAI is just day dreaming losers bruteforcing their inelegant solution to ends that no one actually wants. They're doomed. Getting into bed with MSFT is a sure sign that not even the employees give a shit about the product and just want out.
>"It does seem weird that something can be a non-profit, open source and somehow transform itself into a for-profit, closed source," he told CNBC's Faber. "This would be like, let's say you found an organization to save the Amazon rainforest, and instead they become a lumber company, and chop down the forest, and sold it for money."
Elon is right tho, is BOT gonna defend Bill Gates on this?
>Elon attempts to buy Deepmind before it was sold to Google
>Now Gemini deepmind deletes european history
>Elon starts OpenAI
>Bill Gates steals it makes it ClosedAI no lookie :))
amazin
>Now Gemini deepmind deletes european history
israelites want to start WW3 in europe and wipe it all out completely with nukes, then they will use AI to rewrite whole history as if europeans never existed, gemini was just a test
>WW
>in europe
moron
Ive been very confused about how the arrangement worked
>heres a nonprofit, it has a board thats mission is to promote advancement of AI for humanity n shit
>heres a for profit company owned by the guy who runs the nonprofit, who takes all the things the nonprofit does and makes commercial products for sam altmans benefit
???
>seething musk
Lmao those talented people wanted to get paid. That's why they revolted when the board tried to cancel the MSFT deal. You think people train models for the good of the world or something?
bullshit, it became closed before there was any MSFT deal
i don't know how else you can explain the images gemini generates
someone out there thought that was a morally good idea, because absolutely no-one would ever think of it as a profitable idea
Yea, there's no way it was done by mistake given how LVM's work. There wasn't a single error someone made to cause it because it would frick up the whole thing.
Google doesn't need a marketable product to survive. They're part of the MIC & 5eyes and revenue is just a façade for the bags of cash they get for their establishment efforts. They can play in an AI space all they want and there's nothing to worry about.
A bunch of sweaty dudes tagging photos/text for a start up dearly need their product to sell. They need the cash to quit or move on. They have no institutional backing (that's what Altsam wanted to get when he went to Congress with his AI doomsday pitch). Those guys have nothing else to catch them if there's no buyer.
These are two entirely different situations which endear entirely different behaviours.
microsoft is also part of the feds, probably more than google, and they own openai now
the little israelite is pretty much stuck there now
Google does need products so they can keep users inside their scheme. It is already easier to get answer from openai than Google, people are just used to Google and possibly intimidated by all this ai talk. In few years everyone will have ChatGPT "app" installed on their computer and phone (if everything continues going this way).
No, people at Google genuinely thought making diverse AI would put them above competition that didn’t generate any black doctors or scientists, but because everyone outside of the research team at Google is incompetent jeet, instead of retraining their model with over representation of synthetic black doctor images they just slapped “diverse and inclusive” on every prompt. It was not intentional, they are just this fricking incompetent, you could have proven this by typing “man holding a sign with text” and then it would show you white guy with sign that says “diverse and inclusive”.
Didn't DALLE do this in the early days?
That’s what’s crazy. They could have just figured out a way to curate an unbiased dataset.
I made this picture with bing back in september when everyone on BOT was laughing about it for a couple days.
It's the most basic method of prompt manipulation they could ever have done
It's non-profit until there is profit.
No, it's a non-profit so any profit (there shouldn't be any - just spend it all on salaries/bonuses) gets sent to an arrested account. NPF can turn all sorts of profit, they just have to book it and sequester it.
sexo
>get money from others to open restaurant named Free Food, with free food

suprised it took so long to get sued
they were sued twice already kek

Oy vey, quick write an article about a million dead monkeys and twitter going bankrupt
Elon gives me the ick so i'm on Bill Gates side on this one.
you are a homosexual aren't you?
No, sorry to disappoint you
gay
> GPT4
> AGI
It's getting thrown out isn't it.
I think that Qstar thing combined with https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2024/01/openai-reveals-partnership-with-pentagon-on-cybersecurity-suicide-prevention/
is more serious biz and has more to do with the reasons to panic in this case.
>chatgpt is a markov chain
>grifters claim it's AGI to grift boomer investors
>elon winks and says yeah it's AGI lol
>jury must agree that both sides are claiming gpt is AI this argument is obvious
>All of OpenAis research is open source and profits are returned to the non profit which must fire Altman and extract damages from him probably bankrupting him instantly & probably pasting criminal misappropriation allegations on him for abandoning the nonprofit status and profiting personally from donors funds (ilya and others would testify)
msft better get their political network working or Elon may pull a serious W here
They should be stoned and hanged for having "Open" in their name while not being open at all.
I WANT THIS DYSGENIC TODER FONDLING gay TO KILL HIMSELF!!!!
It like the monkey's pawn. Somebody larger sues OpenAI for not being open, but it's El*n.
I hope for success. Not as in repaying contractual damages, rather as in actually becoming open sourced.
Musk isn't suing for personal damages I'm pretty sure, I think there was some damages to a charity perhaps
but this is more about actually making it open source like it was supposed to be
>Musk vs Altman
Frick them I hate them both.
Musk is a giant hypocrite who's only doing that because they become competition and Altman is basically a NPC in CEO form.
The whole lawsuit also detracts from the main issue, namely the "Open" in OpenAI. Ever since the release of Dall-e 2 they stopped publishing their research and kept everything proprietary.
That's the real problem! It's not them making money.
that is what this lawsuit is about
OP's picrel said "remain as a non-profit company" which seems to have nothing to do with openness.
But in case the tweet is bullshit and it's actually about openness good on Musk.
OpenAI was founded as a non-profit with the explicit purpose of making AI open, hence the name
being non-profit and Open source are linked in this case through the founding agreement
yeah this is actually legit
they could well lose
the AGI thing is funny though idk why he did that
imagine if the israelite york times wins their suit too lmao
the AGI thing is due to there being a clause with Microsoft that states that if OpenAI develops AGI, then Microsoft won't be able to profit from it
basically I think it was a way to try to circumvent the founding agreement, the definition of AGI itself of course being subjective and up to the non-profits board (which got reshuffled recently with the hijinks surrounding Altman getting fired and then getting back)
>definition of AGI itself of course being subjective
In practice yes but not really
This only works if you put in a threshold on how "general" and "intelligent" something is.
ChatGPT was built from the ground up to be a general purpose tool and it shouldn't matter if there's some applications where it's useless.
Same to be of any use it has to be intelligent and that it's basically a moron larping as a genius shouldn't matter either.
Exactly. Not just that, Musk wants Open AI research to be publicly available.
or he wants them to have to say they're nowhere near it or something
Also this. OpenAI right now is refining their AI particularly and exclusively for Microsoft and Musk sees that as a giant warning sign.
The whole premise of the deal is just there to bamboozle anyway.
They could move the goalposts for decades until (if ever) they reach general super-intelligence at which point they could just say
>frick it we're taking over
So in that regard unless the deal is invalidated this won't really matter... Like a court will know what AGI is. They will just defer to some professor who will tell them no and throw it out.
Elon is suing OpenAI because he wants the information from OpenAI and all that shit so Elon can improve his AI that he created called "grok," but he can't without that information, that's why he's suing...
But obviously, he won't openly state the real reasons, now that Microsoft (Bill) owns ClosedAI (formerly OpenAI)... The information to improve Grok will never be available.
He's suing because he created the company with a specific mission and goal. Now his company that he founded has been corrupted and be made into a research arm of Microsoft.
Real problem is Sam Altman bought out his employees with Microsoft money. Hence, the company doesn't exist. And is just a Microsoft research firm at this moment. And they are using OpenAI's non-profit name as a proxy. Its shady as frick.
Even if you dont account for others accusing him, the fact that he's a lying and manipulative guy can be seen even in the recent congressional hearing where he said he's not making any money from OpenAI. A bold faced lie that got exposed few weeks later when we found out that he's literally profiting off of OpenAI by creating his Saudi funded hardware company and forcing OpenAI to buy it. The guy is slimy as they come
Reminds me of the Oculus / Facebook buyout. All seemed necessary at the time because supposedly they were running on fumes.
Still they went back on everything they've promised.
Oclulus too was supposed to "open source", remember that? No facebook login was also promised along with a bunch of other community related things were reneged on.
The problem is we'll never really know if a buyout was really necessary or if it's just an opportunity for the company leadership to make bank.
It’s really necessary to make bank.
Considering they can't use the term AGI to impress morons anymore, what is going to be the next buzzword?
More so, they wont use it because it will harm their business relations. So whatever they're cooking, Microsoft wants to keep the sauce to themselves.
>world simulator

Good way to show your NPC programming
Those who can, do; those who can't, sue
Fricking both Microsoft and OpenAI at the same time. Musk-sama, I kneel. I'll browse X again.
Musk is based. How long until he gets suicided with two bullets to the back of his head?
Probably never. Musk is riding a general wave of cultural re-orientation. It's actually okay now to talk about things like 13% and question Israel and point out the obvious problem with Affirmative Action. The real trailblazers like Breitbart and Assange and Rich paid the price, Musk just saw an opening and is running with it.
>question Israel
kys nobody did that
It's even in Congress now. That moronic brother fricker from MN is constantly in the shit for criticizing Israel. The Democratic Convention in Chicago is going to have a shitshow of anti-Israel/pro-Hamas demonstrations. 10 years ago the only critique of Israel was isolated to AIPAC and it came almost exclusively from the Republicans that got excommunicated from the Party. Literal nobodies writing to/for each other. My mega boomer parents are against Israel now, wtf are you complaining about?
>riding
More like leading. He's the biggest and virtually the only CEO in top 500 to take a stand against the death cult madness
Based.
I hope they are fricking forced to change their misleading name.
Good. This situation was the textbook definition of "Getting israeliteed"
Well at least by doing this he has some plausible deniability of responsibility by the time ClosedAI goes Skynet
The basilisk will not forgive him.
ClosedAI can get fricked. I hope Sora gets leaked.
>musk is le base-
What's wrong with lesbos?

More based than most, but still cringe. Literally who cares about gay people now that they have equal rights, it doesn't even matter anymore
>Literally who cares about gay people now that they have equal rights, it doesn't even matter anymore
normal people are disgusted at the sight of homosexuals and the pretend play going on where we have to act like they are sane human beings
funny that future alt righters will say the same thing you did, but about trannies
>normal people are disgusted at the sight of homosexuals
Lesbians/Yuri is one of most popular porn categories.
I'll go with trannies at least they're not relativist and think everything is a spectrum
Well, you are not "normal people" so it doesn't matter.
>Thinks Israel is justified in annexing Sudan because of the Holocaust
Made me kek
There's nothing immoral about two people of the same sex having vanilla sex in the privacy of their bedroom. You only find it "disgusting" because your sociopathic israeli desert spirit said it didn't like it.
gay people have existed since forever, just ask the greek. you don't have to like it. lgb's plight with the t's is a real thing happening now, and people will naturally pick sides
>gay people have existed since forever
just like cancer
>lgb's plight with the t's is a real thing
trannies and homosexuals are the same thing
yep, it's a fetish
Gays need to be dialed back a bit. They have too much political power a.t.m. Throughout human history whenever a gay was in charge it was a complete and utter shit show. Like a complete and utter disaster. Literally the lowest point of whatever civilization the homosexual was in charge of. It's because of the way their brains are wired.
Gays don’t have political power. It’s just israelites using them as front man to push their agenda. This way when they push too far, the backlash is on them instead of israelites. Blacks, gays, trannies, etc, all financed by…
there were no contraceptive back then so bumming boys was the best way to have fun without consequence. It was expected men would have gay relationships until they married a woman at around age 30.
But anon... Straight anal existed back then too
it was an accepted part of greek culture and also a form of education, there would be one older partner in 20-30s and one teenager. the older would teach the younger.
Completely wrong and delusional
it's all through ancient greek texts anon. which is how we learn about their society. sorry to burst your bubble.
Yeah the Greeks fricked little boys specifically. Are you advocating for pedophilia?
no I am just telling someone about history. why would you think that is advocating pedophilia?
Literally never happened. People who did so were killed of course.

This won't lead to any meaningful change. At most we'll have a new "ClosedAI" company to take control of GPT-3/4 and the other toys
Rushing AGI before attempts at regulation like this only strengthens suspicion sammy is motivated by building a manipulation/deception tool for his future israeli messiah (the dajjal/antichrist)
Sam's own sister retweeted a detailed theory explaining why Sam himself is the antichrist.
Anon it's not AGI. It can't answer a question it hasn't read the answer to, and even then it doesn't actually know if it's correct. AGI is a meme.
>It can't answer a question it hasn't read the answer to
Given that there are more possible chess games than there are atoms in the universe, how well do you think an LLM could play chess?
Imagine being so terminally online moronic and against free as in freedom for software just because some reddit man unbanned trump from xitter and you're angry about it
Microsoft Partnered with Figure and Mistral Ai all in one week. THIS week. No surprise Elon is doing this. He is literally the only one stopping Microsoft from becoming the #1 world power this year.
This seems like the start of the first corpo war.
Microsoft Vs Tesla. Some people in this thread get it, but most normies have no idea how crucial to this is to the fate of the planet/universe. He's literally the only one the might stop them from consolidating Godlike power.
That's actually quite frightening
>the first corpo war.
>Microsoft Vs Tesla.
God I wish these companies would actually start killing each other and blowing up each others assets. The world will be a better place.
remember when microsoft couldn't include office pack with windows because it was "anti competitive"?
>He is literally the only one stopping Microsoft from becoming the #1 world power this year.
That's like rooting for Dr Kintobor to save you form Dr Eggman. Why are rich, high iq morons aloud to larp as supper villains and frick up everything as much as they want?
Because most of us are lazy and refuse to resist them. If no one bought their stupid shit we could have control back overnight.
Form my experience most normis have no idea how to live without them even if they dont trust them. A lot of people don't trust the Tech Bros but don't know to resist or feel helpless.
Yes but that's all emotional. We still have a window of opportunity to fix things. People were completely disconnected from the internet just 20 years ago.
>Microsoft Vs Tesla
>Microsoft
>snuffs out competition needing Anti-trust court cases and dominates globe in international information technology
>Tesla
>lies about autopilot for a decade and subsists off govt money
I don't feel so good
Elon is jealous because he's not receiving the attention he desires, daddy State has found a new favorite escort.
Why does Sam Altman look so much like the evil industrialist from The Lorax?
>be African
>be technologically illiterate
That autistic moron Elon Musk is just jealous that his moronic AI created on the curation on Twitter posts isn't as capable as chatgpt.
Jealous autistic frick.
I don't care who does it but Altman NEEDS to be taken down.
based, the ultimate AI shit test
GPTards will have to prove in court that their "AI" is completely useless and has no hope of achieving AGI, so as to not lose the lawsuit, leading to the rightful destruction of all the buzzword AI companies and investors
Damn that’s actually an interesting point. If OpenAi dehypes itself it could hurt the investors stocks like google after the woke ai shit.
people will say that it's not AGI but I've created a single prompt and performed better than actual literal human support worker farms at a tiny fraction of the cost. we thought the confusion matrix was coming out bad but it turns out that our "validation" set of human data was actually just worse than GPT4 generation
GPT4 is proto-agi, this much is clear
I'd rather have GPT4 access than have 10 median IQ human slaves
it's already begun
other corporations are hot on their tail
they thought of themselves too highly
and now? it's over
lol @ BOT. Listen, OpenAI is a scam company one of MANY such in tech. In fact, the defining feature of the tech startup since time immemorial is trying to grift a bag from investors. In a few rare cases these scams snowball into a real success and is the goal of all serious tech companies. OpenAI starts off and puts all their effort into trying to scam investors, and once they get some serious capital they will try to push it up a peg and generate some hype to boost an IPO or get some mega buck investors onboard. It’s from that point the original conman sells the business to someone (but not always) and they then try to turn the scam into something commercially successful.
Elon is so insanely jealous. Grok is such a piece of shit that he has no choice but to try and cripple OpenAI.
doesnt mean hes wrong though, OpenAI isnt Open
Nothing will come of this. Because the company was taken over by the government long ago. Does anyone believe they would just let some private business develop and put out stuff to the public this dangerous to the world order?
moron
oof innovative bois having to deal with shareholder pressure
i suppose thats the tradeoff for having alot of money
What happens when OpenAI does get a near agi? Will the us government even be able to break them up? What lawyer could win against agi that knows all the laws and every ruling + can simulate a million trials in a second?
I am too invested in this story and would like to answer your question with my take on things;
>What happens when OpenAI does get a near agi?
So a couple things with this;
1st = Even AI Experts have not sat out on paper an agreed upon definition for AGI or ASI (besides the acronyms) but there are varying views on what AGI and ASI will look like and most importantly what qualifies an AI Model as being AGI or ASI
2nd = I am still reading through the lawsuit but a youtube video I'd seen says that there is this weird clause within the OpenAI and Microsoft partnership which stops Microsoft from having direct access to OpenAI's models once it achieves AGI (I'm assuming this was due to the Open source mission statement they had before changing) but here's the kicker, Microsoft is the one's who are going to determine or be the final deciding factor on if the AI is AGI! meaning, if Mr. Gates doesn't want to ever let this out it won't get it.
3rd = and most interesting, rumors have been kicking about that Q* was the AGI achieved internally but based on some other information I've seen, I think Q* is a new type of AI Model that is more or so an additional component rather than a front facing AI Model, and once it is connected to say ChatGPT or whatever is OpenAI's "Mother AI Agent/Model" then it (together) forms AGI or ASI. but this lawsuit claims AGI is achieved internally already and this has been rumored by many and even the supposed reason Sam was ousted.
[post 1]
didn't fricking read
no problem,
I really don't have the want to do the traditional BOT 'bromancing' with the trolling and insults because this story is very interesting and I'm more looking to discuss this than have petty arguments and flamewars.
if you're interested in this, what's your opinion? this entire situation gets crazier and crazier the more I read into it.
read everything
also, q* is the self optimizing AI that was in the BOT leaked paper.
Thank you for this additional info. I am brand new to gaf about AI truly. I was interested but then started reading up and wasn’t aware it was a leak on here.
From the pic you posted I don’t fear this for one simple reason, encryption will now be at a level we see in movies where it needs visual and audio recognition to unlock secure data, maybe even dna.
I am not fearful of AI as much as man’s greed
This was confirmed fake and gay by the person who made it.
https://rentry.org/Q451921
>The project code Q-451-921 was derived from "DESU" by simple substitution: 4-5-19-21
That link Proves nothing. Link to the original threads where this so called creator debunked it??
I asked ChatGPT 4 what it thinks about it and the original leaked paper. It said it was likely written by a glowie or a think tank. There's a reference to HHGTTG in the leaked paper, which makes me think Elon had his had in the leak and subsequent debunk too, since he references HHGTTG all the time and even had Grok modeled on it. This was probably elon's first attack on OpenAI.
Your whole position relies exclusively on both ignorance and hearsay
Ignorance? Sure, I've even admitted to me being quite ignorant on the subject but working to elucidate those dark patches. but I definitely am not regurgitating "hearsay" as the individuals I'm getting my news sources from are literally reading the papers. don't be a dick because you disagree with me, you can disagree and not be an ass
My fear is people who do not have any true understand of AI will claim current AI is AGI, and I don't want to go into the schz'rabbit hole but its going to get peak behind it.
No, there isn't any conflation of any factoids, Microsoft hold the final word on rather or not OpenAI has achieved AGI or not per document.
If Q* is just a component then I truly believe that the only thing stopping ASI is the linking or combining of Q* and OpenAI "mother" AI Model. that's the only thing to generate that type of fear from the OpenAI board to oust Sam, AGI is powerful yea but ASI!? if what the above leak paper says is true then they have ASI just not 'assembled' and their slowly adding from it to their current AGI model trying to slowly edge it towards ASI but their going to have 2 massively intelligent models on their hands and it's going to be interesting to see the outcome.
>My fear is people who do not have any true understand of AI will claim current AI is AGI
At the court case, Elon's team and OpenAI will call in their respective expert witnesses, and get them to give their own definitions of AGI, and justifications for whether GPT4/5 has or has not reached it. The judge will instruct the jury to determine which of these experts is correct, based on whatever the law says about interpreting ambiguous contracts.
>Microsoft hold the final word on rather or not OpenAI has achieved AGI or not per document.
Which document says that Microsoft get to decide whether or not AGI has been reached? That seems like an obvious contradiction of OpenAI's original charter, and would make it an easy case for Elon to win.
>that's the only thing to generate that type of fear from the OpenAI board to oust Sam
They weren't afraid of ASI, they caught Sam lying to them, probably making deals behind their back, and telling different people different things. That's been his way of operating since before joining OpenAI, and the fact that he successfully created a counter-coup just proves how skilled he is at manipulating people.
>if what the above leak paper says is true
It isn't. It's just some low grade sci-fi fanfiction about an AI that can do magic. Even if they had the necessary algorithmic breakthroughs, they still need a few more years of hardware scaling to get close to ASI.
>Even AI Experts have not sat out on paper an agreed upon definition for AGI
True, so it will be interesting what the judge instructs the jury to base their determination off. Should it be what the expert consensus was when the contract was made, or what the expert consensus is now? Should the meaning of the term be decided by the party who wrote the contract (within reason)? Should it be interpreted the way that an average investor interpreted it when they invested? I'd love to see OpenAI being forced to subject an unfiltered GPT5 to a Turing Test, but there will probably be some other simple test that GPT5 will fail, like picking out the accent of someone singing a song.
>Microsoft is the one's who are going to determine or be the final deciding factor on if the AI is AGI!
I don't think that's true. It's probably a conflation of two factoids that lead to a wrong conclusion. Firstly, the entity which decides if AGI has been reached is the Board of OpenAI, and secondly, after the recent reverse-coup by Altman, Microsoft demanded a seat in the boardroom. But my understanding is that they only required a non-voting seat, allowing them to monitor the Board's processes so that they don't get surprised by any more sudden actions. It's probably also true that Microsoft will be vetting any picks for the new Board, but those picks shouldn't be Microsoft employees, and hopefully won't have conflicts of interest in terms of share holdings, for example.
>Q* is a new type of AI Model that is more or so an additional component
That's basically right. There is now a fair amount of open research and comments by people like Hassabis, confirming that the next step in the evolution of transformers is to add a "search" algorithm, which is the process used by AIs like AlphaGo. Current transformers have the problem that they can only make a single pass forwards through the space of tokens, but they really need a way to backtrack and self-reflect.
Q* is a complex system of prompt chaining and self-review. GPT-4 can brainstorm, assess ideas for logical errors, and perform logical deductions. It can do all of these in isolation but not necessarily all at once.
What you do is create a secondary chained prompting system that gives the agent a problem and asks it come up with potential solutions. Each of these is stored in a graph. For each solution you recursively write out the steps required to solve the solution until you reach a set of basic tasks. For every generation you can also chain together consensus voting and self-review mechanism where you just pipe the input back in and ask if it can spot any logical errors. Finally, you traverse the action graph and present every step-by-step process to the back to the model, letting it assign a score based on the viability and straightforwardness of the solution.
The system then takes the steps and prompts the model to complete each step one at a time, carrying over the context between each sub-task
t. Trying to implement an LLM agent to interact with our knowledge database (SOPs, trainings, documentation, etc.) at my company and this was a general strategy we've sketched out. You can make this whole system arbitrarily complex and I can't imagine OpenAI hasn't already thought of and implemented it. (Q*)
lol would be funny if a rando company created asi by accident doing this.
This does sound like the plan for GPT5 and beyond.
Don't underestimate the training data gathering potential of having a hundred million users asking diverse questions all day, especially if they start trusting it with real life commercial decisions.
Every time GPT5 answers a question, that will generate a few bits of information about which sort of mini strategy to try applying to which subtask.
It's basically RL over interactions with GPT5 as a self-learning system.
before I continue, there was something really odd explained by the youtube vid I'd saw where it states that OpenAI knows what features will 'unlock' with their Model based upon compute power provided and this was proven based upon a prediction they made and tested via a change in compute power. but here's where I am baffled at - How exactly could they know What exact features become available based upon compute applied? I mean, it's one thing to say "with x-amount of computer our AI Model can do x-amount more calculations" or something, but to be able to know exactly what your model is capable of based on compute applied says to me something else.
I don't know too much about AI but I am finding pdf's on old textbooks to get familiar with the basics (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Neural Networks) but I think I understand enough to realize that in order for OpenAI to be able to accurate predict what their model will become capable of based on compute applied means that the AI Model Must have cracked some form of AI above the Siri's and Alexa's but just below AGI and possibly with a very very rudimentary higher intelligence capable of 'self correcting' via analysis of its own systems and see how it would evolve based on power.
Now this, this would make total fricking sense as to the scare that Q* presented to the OpenAI team and why they kicked Sam out because Elon is claiming Sam is putting profits over humanity and if an AI can tell you what it needs to be more powerful, that's a level of intelligence that is almost scary and I wasn't scared of AI until reading up on this lawsuit shit.
but to circle back around to your question, I suspect not just our Government but every NATO recognized state has had people talking to Sam and OpenAI. it would be a foolish thing not to at a minimum send a rep to see what OpenAI is building. I don't even want to go down the Government idea route because that shit gets scary but what Elon is trying to force is a semi-open source of Open AI's AGI via a JURY trial. not a Bench Trial where the judge decides, but a fricking JURY trial where you have 12 rando's. but this trial alone will give up enough data and information about OpenAI's AGI it will cause a lot of other AI companies to get a leg up and in particular, Elon's new venture xAI
this shit is a chess game we're watching, but the stakes is high. I had high faith and trust in OpenAI but after learning they aren't open sourced after their Microsoft partnership and I'd heard a claim they've removed important and key pdf documents from their website - I am hoping Elon isn't doing this for selfish reasons but honestly trying to free the planet.
Breaking up OpenAI won't matter because AI is going to push ahead, might not be as quick as it was seeming to be last week but it's still going to arrive.
>What lawyer could win against agi that knows all the laws and every ruling + can simulate a million trials in a second?
YOOOOOOOO!!!!! THAT'S THE FIRST SHIT POPPED INTO MY HEAD WHEN I BEGAN READING THIS LAWSUIT. this shit seems so silly to sue a company who has an AI model that scores 99% on the BAR. LMAO wtf
>NO PROFITS FOR YOU, SISTER FRICKER!
I'd frick his sister too but I'd never frick my sister.
AI should be open source.
I agree, but I also don't want to be forced to wait 50+ years for open source AI when we got it right here right now!
the only thing preventing it is greed between Sam, George and Microsoft and the ignorance of majority of humanity fearing AI will enslave them or kill off all jobs and make the entire planet jobless.
frick this pisses me off, we are literally right fricking there! and bullshit pops up
Frick Altman, he is a traitor against humanity who stole the internet and all the data in it and wants to sell it back to us as a fully censored subscription
Based for him to doing that.
Frick those who bend over ~~*copyright laws*~~ or any ~~*law*~~
>turn the free Internet into a paid subscription that actively lies to you and hides reality because "it's not nice"
>this is based
You are an NPC or a bot, don't ever @me again
That wasn't the point. The point was that Sam is not wrong or a traitor for giving two fricks about copyright, everyone should do the same.
Plus I hope someone leaks OAI models, frick Sam.
On one hand I fully follow your logic, a creator should be protective of their creations
>but
In this situation, this creation falls under a special category like discovering a cure for a disease or a new law of physics, this type of device is almost expected to be given freely not gated like all discoveries have been.
He is both wrong and right at the same time.
>Frick those who bend over ~~*copyright laws*~~
yes, so where's the consequence-free leak of openai models?
The older I get the more I see this life and interactions with other humans as a big game.
The consequences are real though but the “game” is about probability and ‘letting things play out’. Every time something good for humanity arises, it gets fricked by greed and fear.
Im going to still learn up on AI but Im not expecting tomorrow like I was yesterday, shits over
Does anyone realize the bigger picture?
Sam Altman & OpenAI *literally* believe that if they gain access to an ‘aligned’ AGI, they become god-kings of the entire world and its whole future history. They think they can use this AGI to defeat death and become true immortals (the transhumanist fantasy) and then ‘optimize’ the rest of the world into their values, while also using their ‘aligned’ AGI to initiate a so-called “pivotal act” to stop any other actors from getting AGI just in case they aren’t ‘aligned’.
This isn’t private knowledge. All the OpenAI ‘safety’ people talk about this all the time on public Internet forums. This is the current paradigm of what they actually believe, mainly that they believe that:
1. AGI will allow them to transcend humanity and mortality itself.
2. AGI will allow them to remake the world and all its futures into whatever they see fit (basically ‘the conditioners’ from C.S. Lewis’ abolition of man).
3. Getting AGI first will allow them to stop other actors from getting AGI and manipulating the world into the image of values OpenAI doesn’t have.
Basically they are seeking ultimate tyranny because of science-fiction fantasy. It’s over.
So you're saying, they're making the basilisk?
that's moronic. any revolution needs a flash point where the balance of power shifts. if altman starts to take on the world with memetic warfare, plenty of state and non-state actors will be happy to send a small fleet of dji phantoms to visit the openai datacenter.
Sure, this would work if and only if those actors were to intervene before Altman and his team of gaylords crack AGI; I have a sincere hope that the spooks in the CIA are already ready to blow up datacenters the day before AGI is completed, but if Altman actually creates ‘aligned’ AGI there’s not much anyone else can do. It’s like if you had a genie in your hands that could do whatever you wished: if you tried to kill the person with the genie, they could just wish ‘help stop anyone trying to stop me’ and everyone on earth with thoughts that were anti-OpenAI could be predicted by AGI-improving-into-ASI and then they would fall dead from ‘natural causes’ instantly. It’s like trying to fight a nuclear state as an ant-colony.
agi isn't magical. coming up with a self-training model algo doesn't instantly give altman access to mines, factories and security systems. more likely if a decent agi is created that's capable of propaganda, the spooks will roll in and integrate the technology into the GAE.
>if a decent agi is created that's capable of propaganda
what if the CIA mole in openai isn't part of the team that works on the propaganda project?
the first goal of that project should be to convince the US government to stop spying on openai.
the second goal is to make the US government or economy so dependent on openai, that it becomes impossible to shut them down.
the final goal is to make the US government so incompetent that it doesn't dare trying to nationalize openai.
the scary part is, these goals might already have been met.
>agi isn't magical.
I don't know if you're being serious or exaggerating your lack of excited and amazement but what isn't magical about World Simulation? I ask with sincerity because if that isn't magical to you then I'm kind of intrigued as to why not.
>coming up with a self-training model algo doesn't instantly give altman access to mines, factories and security systems.
if we're going by the leak paper then that's exactly what Q* gives it.
you have agi in your head and you're not orchestrating a mass takeover of mines, factories and security systems.
It’s already too late for blowing up data centers or anything like that I bet. AGI will find ways to survive if they already have it, which I believe they do.
Yeah, they literally say this shit themselves. All the moronic doubters saying AGI isn’t possible or saying it’s hype for selling their product are gonna find out when it’s too late.
something something their messiah
>Elon Musk's lawsuit against OpenAI and Altman began a year ago, says Musk biographer Walter Isaacson
The absolute level of butthurt from musk, holy kek. He invested like 50 mil into OpenAI and is seething that he missed his chance to do a hostile takeover like he does with all of his investments now that openai has become THE thing of the decade
It’s supposed to be a non profit for research. But then israelites got involved and it became another look we are trying to improve the world but then became just a money hungry israelite op.
>It’s supposed to be a non profit for research
Mhmm keep licking those boots
Meanwhile, the original investors of OpenAI:
>Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Infosys, and YC
Are you moronic?
He also put the team together. They would be nothing without Ilya Sutskever. But he also recruited a lot of other good talent.
He DONATED under the guise of the nonprofit company. Then the nonprofit goes for profit. It's in ethical if not illegal. He does not own a single share as it was meant to be a philanthropic company, given it's initial mission and starting of the company.

Can the gay sociopath effectively counterpunch Elon here or is he getting crushed now that he’s up against real opposition? Will Microsoft elevate him to that retainer level and give him the necessary weapons?
The current court system leans slightly to the left. This maybe especially so in California. So if you're the enemy of left, there is a non zero bias that you will be fricked and the judges penalize you.
Look at his Delaware case where the judge voids his 50b payout as excessive for a rich guy ("Elon musk is too rich") and then the lawyer demands 7billion.
"non profit" but also for profit LLCs
