For simple codemonkeying, yeah AI is already able to do like 75% of the work. And that number is only going up. Also tech in general is just in a bad state for job seekers right now, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're only looking for a job. Only learn if you want to enjoy coding.

My brother is a codemonkey, says it's 50-50. But that's the code itself, if you're in a company that has it's own product, and mantains it, there's a lot of irreplaceable know-how to implement it, that the current AI is not able to do. Using particular tools devops provides, remembering all the shitty legacy code previous team left in that's too expensive to refactor atm, catering to client specific scenarios.
If you "code" buttons for a wordpress website you're a goner, if you work an actual job you're fine.
It is so much better in the big languages than most documentaries. No, you can't just tell it you want X and you will have a software with perfect architecture. But you can give it your code and even in complex cases it often can help you check where the possible reasons for your error are, or give you a baseline algorithm for you to expand upon.

go to a trade school. get a CNC operator's certificate and sign up somewhere that's not just endless production work. go be a welder and sign up doing fabrication in a non-automotive application. go swing a hammer or sign up with frickin IBEW to be a sparky, they will literally pay your way through school if you can pass an aptitude test and get your application approved after an interview.
don't want to be a tradie? fine, but understand that automation in the office in increasing, not staying level or going away. all the "write emails and play phone tag" jobs are being replaced by AI entirely, or one guy who's got tenure controlling an AI and doing the work of 10 people for the salary of 1. you see journos, commission artists, bullshit job types all complaining online every day because their job got automated away by chatgpt or whatever construct of the month people are using.

Then one day I asked Copilot and it shat out the web service code for me. You're not beholden to be employed anymore, you can build your own business now without studying code like some autist.
