Jimmy Apples successfully leaked the next OpenAi drop

Anyone that thinks this guy isn't the real deal is full of shit. I 100% believe his leak that OpenAi has AGI already internally. He says Sora was something they has since last March and Sam said ChatGPT 5 will have text to video, which means they've had GPT 5 ready for at least a year.

As long as OpenAI are in the lead they won’t release anything. They have a bunch of shit they save up to take the spotlight away from other companies, in this case sora was literally dropped 3 hours after the Gemini 1.5 news and now has twice the attention. They would’ve dropped it when ultra 1.0 came out but it was so bad they didn’t worry

It’s so fascinating that once again world changing tech is in the hands of israelites. How do they do it. Truly maddening.

You'll never be able to make capeshit with it. Safety rails mean you'll be able to generate HR-friendly videos of smiling people and puppies and shit. Only major studios who pay the big bucks will be able to generate someone frowning at someone else. This is the future of generative video.

Soon open models will be out and you will be able to generate as much porn as you want.

I think it's less about the fact that they have amazing genes and more about the fact that they don't tend to dilute said genes. The very strong urge towards tribalism amongst them causes them to only breed with their own, which removes shall we say...the potential factor of outside contaminants.

GPT-4 was ready in early summer 2022 and entered into safety testing and filter training. Many months before ChatGPT was even released. They have a lot of stuff going on all the time.

However it was weird move from their part to announce this video AI, given that they are just now starting the safety training and red teaming. It will be many many months before regular users get their hands on this, maybe even year or more depending on how hard the filtering is and I suspect it is extremely hard, because they can't even fully filter single images, let alone thousands of frames.

Only reason why they would announce this so prematurely (like if they had announced GPT-4 in summer 2022, before safety training), is because it is reaction to Googles Gemini 1.5 announcement. They wanted to kill any hype around Google's product.

There was also Stable Cascade that released this week, the pre-mistral medium leak relatively recently, and at least one genuinely innovative billion parameter paper. I think one of the biggest factors in the decision, though, is the fact that Altman is trying to generate a massive amount of money and he doesn't really have a whole lot new to show to justify the 7 trillion he's been lusting after, so excitement and momentum had to be generated in order to acquire capital.

Why do you think @sama is asking for 7 trillion dollar in funding? Aka 10% of the global GDP? OAI has the eval function, they have the tool to bring change to reality. They just want scale and want to get to AGI first, by scaling up their server 1000X

It wasn't just a random something happening, though. It was a major Open AI announcement something. Could it still a big dumb luck? Sure. But that's awfully damn lucky. I haven't really been paying attention to the "leaker" before now, because I, too, thought it was bullshit, but I have to admit this is fairly convincing. I'm not 100% there, but I'm about, say, 85% there, at this point. We also have to consider the possibility that just because it may be a legitimate leaker, that doesn't necessarily mean that everything being said is true. It might be a mix of legit stuff like this, and other stuff that is less so, with the intent to drum up more money and funding.

Thing is, they have its own definition of AGI
    https://openai.com/charter
    >highly autonomous systems that outperform humans at most economically valuable work
Most economically valuable work is not done by programmers, or God forbid, *rtists. Most economically valuable work is physical in nature, not informational. And to have AGI by that definition, they need to do it cheaper than the existing people can, somehow.

      >Most economically valuable work is physical in nature, not informational.
what do you base that claim on?

      https://www.mckinsey.com/industries/real-estate/our-insights/americans-are-embracing-flexible-work-and-they-want-more-of-it
      >A remarkable 58 percent of employed respondents ... report having the option to work from home for all or part of the week.

that's just counting people who are allowed to work from home, so it doesn't include jobs which could be done from home but the boss doesn't trust them. i suppose some people who work from home are actually doing physical jobs, like a masseuse, but that's probably a negligible fraction. also, this survey is only counting numbers of jobs, not amount of work, so it counts one minimum wage burger flipper as equal to one hedge fund manager, even though the latter is doing more economically valuable "work" (albeit potentially less socially valuable).

Most of the economy is paper shuffling UBI. The British Empire's foreign service in its Victorian heyday was a few dozen dudes in London. Most jobs are UBI.
