I don't know much about ML but considering how far FAIR is behind the other leaders despite how much shit Ledicky like to talk, this post is probably true.
FAIR is the de facto leader in computer vision, basically dominating and guiding the research direction of computer vision.
However, that is most likely because everyone else moved to LLMs.
