Is their truth to the fact that elites have been funding a super AI (internet for decades) to collect as much data and information so they can have a state of the art prediction machine or manipulate masses
Is their truth to the fact that elites have been funding a super AI (internet for decades) to collect as much data and information so they can have a state of the art prediction machine or manipulate masses
the biggest irony in all of this is that ONE machine like this would be utterly useless, even for predictions within it's own horizons
TWO would be an unstable situation
THREE or more would mean history would continue in a new phase, but the humans who made them would not be calling the shots
>Google
>OpenAI
>SkyNet
Also, going off Hitchhiker's Guide, there's the high likelihood that the information outputted from such a machine would be utterly incoherent and/or useless to humans
that's the very thing of it
it would create a human society of 'interpreters'
they wouldn't do any better at ruling than any of those who tried to interpret the whims of nature or the will of god prior to, but it's possible they might be better at preventing growth and change
I choose to believe that AIs would act the way Yoko Taro depicts it. Being loyal to human cause even after humans are long gone.
I believe it would be so for human comprehensible AI
for the hypothetical 'super AI' it would be 'loyal' to a cause that humans cannot yet understand, but which we have already been acting like we are loyal to
Can i get some suace on that image?
Could you please just make some NPC with decent AI already?
They likely already have it. Sentient at this point is probably predicting everything with 99.9% accuracy.
you guys in this camp are giving this thing waaaaay too much credit. The fact youve heard about it shows it couldnt predict where the leaks were and deal appropriatly. the fact a dude was able to get enough testimony to go to the inspector general and get congressional hearings means it couldnt predict the dude in charge of the uap force was learning shit and doing the thing he was literally tasked with and have him dealt with before it became an issue. I mean ya theyre spying on us at every turn but if we really had this capability you would never know it existed.
perhaps 'leaks' are part of the process of gathering data to make predictions
like a sonar 'ping' collecting more data than simply listening to the ocean
Given the amount of overhype and overestimation about our AI tech were seeing in the public sector now that its reached normie teir tech, I find it much more likely that its capabilities are overhyped by some people with the goal of getting more funding and resources for it then an infallible super machine that every weakness is actually 4d chess. Im sure its capable in a frightning way, but probably in "years long head start" type of way and not "IT KNOWS ALL AND SEES ALL" way
I would tend to agree, right now the funding or profit motive explains a lot
even so, adding another angle on the 'prediction industry' is world-changing disruptive technology
they're over-hyping it to get money from the IQ 125 guys who hold the purse-strings
I use free-trial accounts on Novel-AI to I rape Dragon women.
AIs are based as fuck
