IMHO it's absolutely worth the $20 a month. GPT-4 is a quantum leap beyond GPT-3.

depends on what you need it to do,I use gpt-3.5 cus I don't need to do anything complex, but I'll wait until gpt 4.5 or 5 to see if I would really pay 20+ dollars a month to use a AI

    Organic Human Poster

Whether ChatGPT Plus at $20 a month is worth it depends on your specific needs and usage patterns. Here are some factors to consider:

    1. Enhanced Features: ChatGPT Plus typically offers faster response times and priority access to new features and improvements. If you highly value these aspects, the subscription might be worthwhile.

    2. Usage Frequency: If you use ChatGPT frequently for tasks that benefit from quick responses and advanced features, the Plus subscription could be a good investment.

    3. Cost vs. Benefit: Consider whether the benefits you receive from the subscription justify the cost. This assessment will vary based on individual circumstances and how much you rely on ChatGPT for your work, learning, or personal interests.

    4. Alternative Options: Consider if the free version of ChatGPT meets your needs. If you find the free version sufficient for your use, then the Plus version may not be necessary.

    5. Budget Considerations: Evaluate if the subscription fits comfortably within your budget.

    6. Feedback from Users: Look for reviews or feedback from current subscribers to understand their experiences and whether they find the subscription valuable.

Ultimately, the decision is personal and should be based on how well the service aligns with your needs and expectations.

I went from paypig to freetard because their GPT-4 service is fricking dogshit. For usual everyday tasks i'll use Bing AI and it can answer 99% of the questions I have and if I got coding questions I'll head over to the more precise version of GPT-4 on Bing chat and get the top tier quality answers without the slow ass shit speed of OpenAI. Should've not paid 20 a month when Bing AI gives faster GPT-4 than OpenAI. Frick them c**ts.

doesn't bing AI restrict how many time a day you can ask questions?

If you have to rely on it for programming questions all the time that's a sign you should read a book instead.

NTA but I was just using Bing chat today for the first time, I hit the daily limit and I just opened a different browser (didn't even turn on my VPN) and it started working again. It seems to reset every time you clear your session.
If you can't figure out basic stuff like that then you're really NGMI.

so does chatgpt plus or whatever it's called
you only get -20 queries an hour depending on current load and that includes your images and data analysis

        Anonymous

it restricts number of answers in one conversation
If there's a total limit then I never reached it, even when trying hard sometimes

I pay for GPT plus and considering dropping it.
Im fricking tired of every answer being a numbered list with a bunch of slop all over. Im tired of there being multiple paragraphs of disclaimers. Im tired of it being so censored it cant even give an estimate of an answer because that isnt heckin okay. It's incredible at programming but i dont really care anymore. It outright ignores custom instructions, even when I explicitly tell it to not make numbered lists all the time it still does. Apparently this has been the case ever since they unified the plugins and dalle shit into one chat, it just straight up ignores custom instructions probably because theres so much slop that openai put into the system prompt to censor it there isnt any more tokens for it to read them

and leech off Bing AI's more precise chat and get the superior GPT-4 experience with none of the shitty slowdowns from OpenAI's Azure servers

If all paying customers collectively stop paying for their premium subscriptions then we get to see them stop fricking over paying customers

I really want to, but I use gpt for programming a lot. Im in the process of making sure that copilot on precise mode is just as good as chatgpt4. So far in my test, precise mode on copilot has often times made better code than chatgpt4, but theres also been other times where it's made code that isnt as good. Im conflicted. But leaning toward dropping gpt 4.

There's no excuse to have 16gb of RAM in 2023. Upgrade to 64gb and you will be able to run local models no problem, especially Mixtral which runs very well on CPU only.

Mixtral exists now, if you want a free open source and unpozzed version of chatgpt to run on your own PC. GPT-4 is easily better in comparison when it comes to reasoning and tasks, but it's still a closedai model with "alignment".
