People are barely consistent on their definitions regarding the physical human nervous system and the soul and consciousness, so I highly doubt we'd be consistent on our viewpoints regarding AI and whether or not it may have consciousness let alone house a soul.
There are probably going to be two schools of thought:
A) The neural network is going to one day be sophisticated enough to become conscious like a human, because "consciousness is just a computer program" and "souls don't exist".
B) The physical mechanical computer is some day going to be sophisticated enough to house consciousness, because a "human body is just a biological computer", and this biological computer of ours can observably house a soul and consciousness (as we know it).
