I did the great tai chi circle from this book and while doing it I felt like blood rushed to my nose and head
I felt numb in my head like I was gonna pass out for a second
Now I still feel a pressure in my nose, I feel it more if I meditate and it's really annoying

What should I do to make it go away?
Standing poses?

Qi stuck in nose is common.
Stick your tongue on the roof of the mouth, top right behind the teeth and swallow to stick it. Put attention on the Heavenly pool in the nasal cavity until it starts to vibrate/move. It should start to flow down after a while, relax and let it go down to the navel.
    Thats it.
When Ren Mai is opened more this will go away eventually.
One thing that can happen is it goes down the front of the mouth, rather than through the tongue bridge and your front teeth will go numb. You have introduced too much fire(attention) to that spot and have caused a deviation in the flow. Put your heels together, bend knees and relax into the ground, spine lengthened and neck/head relaxed. If you do it right you will experience circular movement of the upper body coming from the lower dan tian with taiji at the soles of the feet where they respectively pull up from the ground as the body rotates, let it do it's thing and you should be back to normal in no time.
Non-doing is letting the creative process guide you, not you guiding it. So just relax and see what other freaky shit manifests. Work on sinking(song) and inner listening(ting).

That information is sometimes more useful than the book itself, because it gives a roadmap to possibly find better or similar quality content.

I get what you are saying but don't be disingenuous. People skip the tutorial because there's gatekeeping and nobody has access to the tutorial anyways.

They likely don't even know they have access to the legit later stages because of all of the gatekeeping, and when I say gate keeping I mean larping.

I think the greatest form of gatekeeping for modern day occultism is actually "passive" and the legit occultists don't even need to lift a finger to do it or initiate it. Random bored frickers do the job for them.

Think of all the people who have been led down a path of perpetual failure because they were recommended a book or training method that looked like it had potential, but it was actually offered by someone playing make believe and treating this all as a fun game.

Larps are honestly the greatest enemy of a newbie occultist trying to find their way to true knowledge, and they pretty much dominate all occult spaces so it's like swimming in an ocean of shit and trying to find a pearl on the sea floor.

You can't start the tutorial if you can't find the tutorial.

So where does one look to find the legit stuff. There has to be some undisturbed archive that can't be meddled with (like some old dead website on archive.org and gives a list of books and training methods).

I've noticed that the older the content the more legit it is. The more modern it is, the more likely it's just a cash grab or a scam. People were genuinely pursuing occult knowledge in the 80's and before then (a tiny bit in the 90's too), but once you reach the late 90's and the 2000's it's fricking over, it's like finding a needle in a haystack. Actually, the legit occultists just aren't writing or sharing knowledge period, they've rightfully given up on the masses of this era.

                >it even gets posted here, if the reader is perceptive enough to recognize when pearls are cast
I mean complete training, not an excerpt. You can't really go anywhere from just that breathing technique alone.

All of these techniques can be found as part of a "complete training" in some book, they don't exist independently, people just post them independently and never list the source.

I know the source is already listed at the start for this thread, but this is a rare example.

I'm talking about what was literally posted, not the entirety of Anapanasati itself. Read over things more and read into things less.

                >what makes you think some human has wrote a fully comprehensive complete manual for all this stuff?
Because humans have always done that after we advanced to a certain point.

                >fact of the matter is I have already given you things you wont find in any book, but so it is posting these things on the chans.
Random standalone information is useless to anyone without a complete training methodology.

If you explain how to do quadratic equations to someone who can't even do basic arithmetic, you aren't really helping them.

If if give someone a random puzzle piece to a random puzzle they don't even have much less haven't even began assembling yet, you aren't really helping them.

                >I dont get this bullshit of if you cant give 100% of everything to me in a perfect pre packaged form that is well known and fully approved
You mean like how you learned every other subject you are skilled in during your entire life?.............

How was english taught to you?

Did your teachers just hand you a dictionary of three letter words and say "start from there" before teaching you the alphabet and penmanship?

Ironically enough I've already found such a book just recently and I'm going to start training soon. Took a long while to find this and it's something that most people would likely never stumble upon, it's pretty old, I'm surprised the download was still working.

So I'm not really waiting on or expecting anything useful out of you, but I'm still going to let you know that you aren't really helping anyone with this methodology.

In fact, I think you really just fall into what I already described in this thread:

                [...]

You're so busy "dropping gems" for "stage 1" when you can just give people the "tutorial" book.

I think you are only really concerned with helping yourself feel important, not helping people to find proper training.

It's like saying you're donating to charity and you throw a gold coin far out into a wheat field and tell the poor people to go look for it lol.

Be honest, it's for your own amusement, not to help anyone.

"Daoist Cultivation" series has what you're looking for. Superb interpretation of the classic texts, written in contemporary, no-nonsense manner easily digestible for the Westerner. The real practices start by volume 3, but I don't think anyone should the introductions for the same reason that OP should do warmups. The books are pretty short, each is priced cheaply for the information, and they give you enough information to digest and work on for a month or two so I've found them to be paced rather well for a beginner to intermediate cultivator. There's about a dozen or so, I haven't gone through all of them yet but I probably will over the next year or two as I proceed through them, damo's work, and the classics.

I happened to come across a 70yo man offering Qi Gong seminar at a local health food store many years ago. It was during a time that I had received a pretty decent knee injury and it set me down a path of herbalism to treat the injury instead of surgery and pharmaceuticals. The seminar was this 70yo man who could touch his toes and a bunch of other old folks. I was sold on his pitch and a week later myself and another pal attended his class. Week after week less people showed up, eventually Master Larry had us come to his home to practice. The practice was 2 different sets of movements, one was about a 30 minute routine the other was about 15. It was a very gentle but engaging exercise, and as we continued in our practice the effort became less and the relaxation increased. I was eventually able to heal my knee injury. The concept of pulling energies from the Heavenly Father and Mother Earth using our bodies as receptors was very interesting. The spiritual aspect was woo woo for those without the ears to hear, but the scientific explanation of gentle movement and intentional massage/breathwork to stimulate the movement of lymph made a lot of sense. I remember later being at a rave, on LSD, and I channeled my Qi from my dantien and pushed it out around me while standing there. I will never forget people turning around and gathering near me to feed off this positive life force I was emanating. Qi Gong is definitely interesting. HM08S

warmups are to be practiced until you have the hang of the whole sequence. In general do things by the book before experimenting, it's just good practice. If you find yourself experiencing deviation or overload or something feels off, there's a couple things you can do, depending on how far down the road you are.
    1) ground and center. if you're doing moving or standing practice, return to zhang zuang or wuji for a few dozen breaths.
    2) regulate and cycle. Restore your cauldron. It's leaking because the furnace is too hot. Still your yang and allow yin to proceed.
    3) sit down, or kneel in prostration. If you've undertaken a devotional practice this is fine.
basically return to emptiness in the most direct route available to you. You don't need to move to do this, emptiness embraces all, always. But it can be useful to have a couple escape pods when self-cultivating. Just return to ground, still yang, let yin proceed, stabilize cauldron and furnace, place your body in a secure and active posture, and empty the mind.
