I did the great tai chi circle from this book and while doing it I felt like blood rushed to my nose and head
I felt numb in my head like I was gonna pass out for a second
Now I still feel a pressure in my nose, I feel it more if I meditate and it's really annoying
What should I do to make it go away?
Standing poses?
I forgot to mention that I didn't do the warm ups before doing it, probably my mistake I know
I don't think any of us have enough qi powers to help you. I do want to hear more about the great circle tho
Qi stuck in nose is common.
Stick your tongue on the roof of the mouth, top right behind the teeth and swallow to stick it. Put attention on the Heavenly pool in the nasal cavity until it starts to vibrate/move. It should start to flow down after a while, relax and let it go down to the navel.
Thats it.
When Ren Mai is opened more this will go away eventually.
One thing that can happen is it goes down the front of the mouth, rather than through the tongue bridge and your front teeth will go numb. You have introduced too much fire(attention) to that spot and have caused a deviation in the flow. Put your heels together, bend knees and relax into the ground, spine lengthened and neck/head relaxed. If you do it right you will experience circular movement of the upper body coming from the lower dan tian with taiji at the soles of the feet where they respectively pull up from the ground as the body rotates, let it do it's thing and you should be back to normal in no time.
Non-doing is letting the creative process guide you, not you guiding it. So just relax and see what other freaky shit manifests. Work on sinking(song) and inner listening(ting).
Thanks a lot man, I'll try this
You should get the book its on zlib
>You should get the book its on zlib
Isn't that shit down and don't you mean libgen?
How and where did you find the book:
Stumble upon it by chance?
Got it recommended to you in a book list (or by itself)?
>I did the great tai chi circle from this book and while doing it I felt like blood rushed to my nose and head
I'm assuming you left out the breathing exercise part, because this sounds like something that can happen if you are using a breathing technique.
>I'm assuming you left out the breathing part, because this sounds like something that can happen if you arent breathing
Yeah for the great tai chi circle at the end of the stretch and the inhale you need to do the 3 locks, anal abdominal and throat and thats when it happened
yeah my buddy passed out once stretching like that. manage brefs better.
this post probably contains more information than op's entire book
funny
>this post probably contains more information than op's entire book
No it doesn't unless
gives a book source too. A solution for specific problem in no way helps any newcomer begin their own training.
I hate how OP abandoned his own thread after getting an answer lol.
Kinda needed to sleep lol
Zlib is up again go check
Noone recommended me this book, I just liked how clear the instructions were
>Noone recommended me this book, I just liked how clear the instructions were
Yeah, but how did you find it if it wasn't recommended?
That information is sometimes more useful than the book itself, because it gives a roadmap to possibly find better or similar quality content.
Also, I think you mean a zlib alternative is now up, but the original site is still showing the government notice. The alt I'm seeing now requires signing up to download instead of the 5 downloads per day limit.
beautiful reply wow best help I've seen provided on x outside a CDF thread in a good while
>Qi stuck in nose is common.
another reason anyone telling someone to focus on the tip of their nose should be beaten with a rubber hose
>the rest
nevermind with the fundamentals that imbue these things, let's get right to the good stuff that you cant get to safely without proper fundamentals?
>i stuck a fork into the wall plug and almost died
why are anons so stupid? i remember a few years ago something like 8 ppl got possessed on a thread trying to summon demons. you need to stop skipping the tutorial bro.
>you need to stop skipping the tutorial bro.
kek, this
>why are anons so stupid? i remember a few years ago something like 8 ppl got possessed on a thread trying to summon demons. you need to stop skipping the tutorial bro.
I get what you are saying but don't be disingenuous. People skip the tutorial because there's gatekeeping and nobody has access to the tutorial anyways.
They likely don't even know they have access to the legit later stages because of all of the gatekeeping, and when I say gate keeping I mean larping.
I think the greatest form of gatekeeping for modern day occultism is actually "passive" and the legit occultists don't even need to lift a finger to do it or initiate it. Random bored fuckers do the job for them.
Think of all the people who have been led down a path of perpetual failure because they were recommended a book or training method that looked like it had potential, but it was actually offered by someone playing make believe and treating this all as a fun game.
Larps are honestly the greatest enemy of a newbie occultist trying to find their way to true knowledge, and they pretty much dominate all occult spaces so it's like swimming in an ocean of shit and trying to find a pearl on the sea floor.
You can't start the tutorial if you can't find the tutorial.
That's why I teach the rock solid fundamentals of Anapanasati so that people can start at the ground floor properly
8 people got possessed on a thread trying to summon a demon? Sauce?
I mean, they succeeded. That's what invocation is basically.. You are summoning a spirit inside you kek. Evocation is summoning it outside of you.
See it endlessly.
The teachers of now are being subverted and its funny. Old gate keepers outdone by retards who smoke weed on BOT. Their special secret is becoming tomorrow’s banality.
So where does one look to find the legit stuff. There has to be some undisturbed archive that can't be meddled with (like some old dead website on archive.org and gives a list of books and training methods).
I've noticed that the older the content the more legit it is. The more modern it is, the more likely it's just a cash grab or a scam. People were genuinely pursuing occult knowledge in the 80's and before then (a tiny bit in the 90's too), but once you reach the late 90's and the 2000's it's fucking over, it's like finding a needle in a haystack. Actually, the legit occultists just aren't writing or sharing knowledge period, they've rightfully given up on the masses of this era.
>So where does one look to find the legit stuff
it even gets posted here, if the reader is perceptive enough to recognize when pearls are cast
>it even gets posted here, if the reader is perceptive enough to recognize when pearls are cast
I mean complete training, not an excerpt. You can't really go anywhere from just that breathing technique alone.
All of these techniques can be found as part of a "complete training" in some book, they don't exist independently, people just post them independently and never list the source.
I know the source is already listed at the start for this thread, but this is a rare example.
>Anapanasati is not a complete training
>You can't really go anywhere from just that breathing technique alone.
comedy hour here on BOT
>All of these techniques can be found as part of a "complete training" in some book
what makes you think some human has wrote a fully comprehensive complete manual for all this stuff?
fact of the matter is I have already given you things you wont find in any book, but so it is posting these things on the chans.
>comedy hour here on BOT
I'm talking about what was literally posted, not the entirety of Anapanasati itself. Read over things more and read into things less.
>what makes you think some human has wrote a fully comprehensive complete manual for all this stuff?
Because humans have always done that after we advanced to a certain point.
>fact of the matter is I have already given you things you wont find in any book, but so it is posting these things on the chans.
Random standalone information is useless to anyone without a complete training methodology.
If you explain how to do quadratic equations to someone who can't even do basic arithmetic, you aren't really helping them.
If if give someone a random puzzle piece to a random puzzle they don't even have much less haven't even began assembling yet, you aren't really helping them.
poor analogies try again
>humans have always done that
you are complaining about being given a porterhouse steak when you wanted a 7 course meal that you wouldnt be able to finish without auto vomiting 3 times
>poor analogies try again
Very apt analogies. Someone without basic knowledge won't even be able to make heads or tails of anything you've said lol. You can't be this dense.
It's like me ripping out a page of a car repair manual and giving it to someone who has never owned a car before lol.
>you are complaining about being given a porterhouse steak when you wanted a 7 course meal that you wouldnt be able to finish without auto vomiting 3 times
How about you give the restaurant location for the 7 course meal instead of trying to shove your home made steak down peoples throats lol.
>Very apt analogies
They're really not, all kinds of very pertinent details on the most fundamental basic part of cultivation is absolutely not just ripping a page out of a random car manual. I dont get this bullshit of if you cant give 100% of everything to me in a perfect pre packaged form that is well known and fully approved, then fuck off your help is useless
>all kinds of very pertinent details on the most fundamental basic part of cultivation
that no newcomer has any frame of reference for or a specific source to start training from, so they can't do shit with those details......... yes continue....
>I dont get this bullshit of if you cant give 100% of everything to me in a perfect pre packaged form that is well known and fully approved
You mean like how you learned every other subject you are skilled in during your entire life?.............
How was english taught to you?
Did your teachers just hand you a dictionary of three letter words and say "start from there" before teaching you the alphabet and penmanship?
Ironically enough I've already found such a book just recently and I'm going to start training soon. Took a long while to find this and it's something that most people would likely never stumble upon, it's pretty old, I'm surprised the download was still working.
So I'm not really waiting on or expecting anything useful out of you, but I'm still going to let you know that you aren't really helping anyone with this methodology.
In fact, I think you really just fall into what I already described in this thread:
>I get what you are saying but don't be disingenuous. People skip the tutorial because there's gatekeeping and nobody has access to the tutorial anyways.
You're so busy "dropping gems" for "stage 1" when you can just give people the "tutorial" book.
I think you are only really concerned with helping yourself feel important, not helping people to find proper training.
It's like saying you're donating to charity and you throw a gold coin far out into a wheat field and tell the poor people to go look for it lol.
Be honest, it's for your own amusement, not to help anyone.
go find something productive to do
"Daoist Cultivation" series has what you're looking for. Superb interpretation of the classic texts, written in contemporary, no-nonsense manner easily digestible for the Westerner. The real practices start by volume 3, but I don't think anyone should the introductions for the same reason that OP should do warmups. The books are pretty short, each is priced cheaply for the information, and they give you enough information to digest and work on for a month or two so I've found them to be paced rather well for a beginner to intermediate cultivator. There's about a dozen or so, I haven't gone through all of them yet but I probably will over the next year or two as I proceed through them, damo's work, and the classics.
Do something else, there's the need of training with a sifu because you can deviate and not notice.
Are you gonna come back and tell us when it went away or not. Because youre probably gonna realize it was your adrenaline spiking out of excitement and that would make your thread look dumb?
It's probably cultivation deviation, it can produce injury.
That's what I thought at first, but now it's been 2 years and it's still here
I'm more looking for a posture or an exercice to balance everything like
but I'll try these videos too, thanks
Damo Mitchell has a free video series on dealing with Chi sickness and Chi deviations, maybe that'll help?

>chingchong makes you ill
How could this happen to you?
>How could this happen to you?
dont do all the things that master tells you
dont do the fundamental things that book tells you
skip boring parts
cultivate just enough potential to hurt yourself
Can acupuncture be a good alternative for my problem if I can't find a qigong teacher?
you need to find someone that actually has some spiritual advancement
Is this shaytan lies
Thats why i converted to islam
Repent to allah, lord of the worlds
could you share the pdf? I never get the confirmation mail from z-lib 🙁

gratitudes
Do it again but squint your eyes like an asian. Tape them so that they stay squinty. This balances out the chi.
I did kundalini and my qi managed to get pretty high up. Lately the last few months I keep getting a clogged nose all the time, could that also be QI problems?
ALSO
I had a lot of sexual buildup before doing it, I guess I overdid the stimulation part lol
Now when I think about erotic or deep sensual/love stuff I sneeze most of the times
I think I have less libido than before too
>I guess I overdid the stimulation part lol
stop wasting your time and energy with dumb bullshit like this, it is not beneficial and does not advance you
I happened to come across a 70yo man offering Qi Gong seminar at a local health food store many years ago. It was during a time that I had received a pretty decent knee injury and it set me down a path of herbalism to treat the injury instead of surgery and pharmaceuticals. The seminar was this 70yo man who could touch his toes and a bunch of other old folks. I was sold on his pitch and a week later myself and another pal attended his class. Week after week less people showed up, eventually Master Larry had us come to his home to practice. The practice was 2 different sets of movements, one was about a 30 minute routine the other was about 15. It was a very gentle but engaging exercise, and as we continued in our practice the effort became less and the relaxation increased. I was eventually able to heal my knee injury. The concept of pulling energies from the Heavenly Father and Mother Earth using our bodies as receptors was very interesting. The spiritual aspect was woo woo for those without the ears to hear, but the scientific explanation of gentle movement and intentional massage/breathwork to stimulate the movement of lymph made a lot of sense. I remember later being at a rave, on LSD, and I channeled my Qi from my dantien and pushed it out around me while standing there. I will never forget people turning around and gathering near me to feed off this positive life force I was emanating. Qi Gong is definitely interesting. HM08S
>HM08S
Listen.......... most people are going to think this is a JAV dvd code unless you elaborate lol.
HM08 is dive or rock climb depending on which Gen you're in
Oh, pokemon.
It's probably just his captcha to prove he's not a bot. Which isn't really proof enough though without also posting a screenshot of it because anyone can add a random 5 letter code to the end of their post and bots could easily learn how to do that.
>It's probably just his captcha to prove he's not a bot
People could ironically end this bot shit by being tripgays lol. BOT is alright, but theres a lot more perks in a forum where users have names (banning larps and trolls which establishes a strong forum culture and makes the advice you get more trustworthy).
This is why people say you gotta have a teacher teach you.
You fucked it up some how lol.
warmups are to be practiced until you have the hang of the whole sequence. In general do things by the book before experimenting, it's just good practice. If you find yourself experiencing deviation or overload or something feels off, there's a couple things you can do, depending on how far down the road you are.
1) ground and center. if you're doing moving or standing practice, return to zhang zuang or wuji for a few dozen breaths.
2) regulate and cycle. Restore your cauldron. It's leaking because the furnace is too hot. Still your yang and allow yin to proceed.
3) sit down, or kneel in prostration. If you've undertaken a devotional practice this is fine.
basically return to emptiness in the most direct route available to you. You don't need to move to do this, emptiness embraces all, always. But it can be useful to have a couple escape pods when self-cultivating. Just return to ground, still yang, let yin proceed, stabilize cauldron and furnace, place your body in a secure and active posture, and empty the mind.
The chi has is own consciousness. The chi follow the will.
Try to rotate the chi inside you through breathing exercise. (in clockwise direction when facing yourself)
