There is literally no scenario in which low birth rates lead to an existential threat to humanity.

We'll go into a recession and it will be incredible hard to move forward because we would be desperately trying to keep our current infrastructure up and running just to survive, it's a miserable time. You can even have a population increase and see incredible growth, but it it's all shitty trees with shallow roots that are unable to support the soil, the whole forest will collapse.
