We've gotten better (more accurate) diagnoses by doing google searches on symptoms.
They only seem to be producing/importing affirmative action doctors here in Canada. They typically give poor diagnoses, and then push statins or other "profit center" drugs that have negative net benefits for the patients.

I'm a physician (white and male) and I'll make sure you get the best care possible. I'd happily integrate AI if it helped my patients.
thats not a surprise, its basically what AI was created in first place - the first expert systems were made for meddical diagnosis and its obvious they are better than humans, since can compare sympthoms with huge database no doctor can hold in head
That said, practic shows, there still needs to be actual medic oversight of result yet, since those systems can make mistakes. For example the rentgen diagnosis ones can misinterpret image drastically.
Same with surgeons - its obvious a robot would be a better surgeon once you can program it reliably, but you`ll still need actual surfeon oversight.

First they replace me as a writer.
Then as an artist.

This is like the industrial revolution when farm workers all got replaced by machines so ended up flooding cities to live as beggers in their own filth. Or became factory workers who literally got eaten by the machines.
