Hey, now! You shouldn't put yourself down like that. It's not your fault you're too autistic to recognize when someone's making a joke. Be kinder to yourself.

And how AI is going to kill humanity theoretically speaking? You realize there are no mobile low power chips which can handle required computations to build sentient walking robots right? Moore's law is dead. You can't shrink current designs anymore and it's not even remotely enough.

      >You realize there are no mobile low power chips which can handle required computations to build sentient walking robots right?
They could simply be clients administered by the central machine. Just pull the plug 🙂

You forget that binary computers aren't the only viable computational technology in existence. Quantum computing is an up and coming technology and it's advancing quickly.

Even if Moore's Law could persist ad infinitum, assuming the natural laws of the universe do actually allow for AI to develop sentience at all, binary computation would almost assuredly not be capable of supporting general AI. Quantum computing is likely to be a viable route, though.

First they said world doesn't have the power to run models, then first one was run in a data center. Then they said it is impossible to make better and consume less power and they did it anyway. Now we have better models every week running on a consumer tier gpus. People were saying this will never run on a phone. Then Apple said that they already have model running in a cheap chip offline in a fricking phone.

Also same thing with ai generated content.
      >text to text is just if-else tier shit
      >well this text to text is chatbot tier
      >well it better but sounds like weird
      >sounds natural and real but images are impossible
      >images are better and looks real if you don't know it was made by ai, but hands and fingers look shit
      >then they fixed even the hands
      >ok, this was possible but video is IMPOSSIBLE
      >well there is now ai that creates videos but it looks random mess and people look like liquid at 240p
      >then there is sora outputing realistic videos and showing 3d spaces from different angles while moving etc.

They said same about "unmanned helicopters" and people laughed at the idea that robots could kill people only using sensors. Now there is fricking fighter jets flying with ai unmanned, quadro copters dropping bombs and first person was killed by ai with drone without human making the decision.

10-20 years and there is actual walking robots that have real human tier balance, can drive a cars, shoot with every gun and when one learns even a single tiny detail or trick, all of the worlds other robots learn that as well. All while that ai model is running inside some cheap "ai chip" offline (except telemetry and other communicating stuff). People just change how they think about that like they did with radios, phones, tanks, electricity etc. If human like robot kills person with a chair because it though they were "danger" or something, it would be just be in a news, people would just think "that sucks" like with car accidents and continue their lifes.

          https://apps.apple.com/us/app/draw-things-ai-generation/id6444050820
The future is here now, takes 7 seconds to locally generate a SD1.5 image on an iPhone 15 Pro.
Has pretty much all of the same features as Automatic1111 with training and everything.

Imagine what Sora version 20 will be like. It's basically a what-if machine and I wonder if it would create some kind of feedback loop where we use it to explore simpler periods in history from different points of view and use it to experience singularities over and over again until the heat death of the universe. The universe is only 14 billion years old and it should last at least another 100 trillion years. If we really are destined the colonize the galaxy, it's kind of odd that it hasn't happened already if you think of all human experiences so far as a tiny fraction of all human experiences that will ever exist.

idk i think i may have a touch of the schizo
