That's the point. Unemployment is low because of really, really, really shitty jobs that pay enough to cover rent and beans and rice. A lot of the previously decent paying jobs are going to either get completely automated away or also become really shit paying jobs as well. You don't seem to quite get how bad that is. Further concentration of wealth is not what is needed right now. Plus, we're a consoomer based economy. In 20-30 years when all this comes to heel, we're basically fricked into working like slaves for a bag of rice like chinks.

"AI" would serve as a convenient black box for all sorts of algorithms. That's why they want to inject the brand.

        Anonymous

That works until a certain point but the human brain does a lot of work with an infinitesimal fraction of the power. As it is today, a machine needs thousands to tens of thousands of images of trees to learn how to recognize a tree correctly, while even a human child only needs a few dozens photos to do so. It's clearly an architectural problem that if solved, it's going to pave the way for AGI.

          Anonymous

          >That works until a certain point
you don't know that though; no one does. And yes, obviously the human brain works differently and vastly more efficiently, but the point is that something LIKE artificial general intelligence can indeed be brute forced if you push enough data through a fast enough computer. It was unexpected.

The current method is insufficient, it merely creates a large statistical model of what words are likely to follow one another, it has effectively zero real knowledge

no one can explain what "real knowledge" even is though. and the point is that it can SIMULATE an AGI so well, it might as well be one in 99% of all applications

The appearance of knowledge is simply not the same as actual knowledge, a parrot that says soothing words isnt truly aware of what it means not implies. Again, any person with a inner monolog is likely to find an AI conversation lacking after a few exchanges because its simply playing tricks with words, the current AI models have no concept of reality.

I would separate knowledge from function. Read searle's chinese box thought experiment.

Even if a blackbox spat back accurate answers to various questions, it doesn't tell us anything about the inherit 'knowledge' of the box, only its utility.

Another famous thought experiment revolves around qualia -- if say some researcher knew everything there is know about 'color' but was colorblind, if they then had a surgery and could experience color, would they 'learn' or 'know' anything new?

this is factually incorrect becauss you cant brute force quantum processing which the brain demonstrably uses. You will never have a true human like intelligence without recreating the same type of computing used in the brain, which has microtubules and quantum processing. Basedjak tech nerds running bigger and bigger language models just dont get it.

        Anonymous

Yeah but what about the models, do you realise a full fledged AI is a Frankenstein of models ?
Also it was not mere computer power, it is the model, the sauce, because the tech to make an AI has always been there but the theory behind it however is more convoluted than what you expect.
Even SDXL is not enough, you need to reiterate, use other tools to fix letters and logos, these are all separate models, we need something like that but interconnected: a brain.

I told you from 2015 onwards how TWITTER was an AI DEVELOPMENT SUITE and NOT A SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM primarily. It was used to develop AI utilising the humans it suckered into using it, hence that awful format which was all that AI could cope with back in the day when the two book end darpa projects, Twitter & Facebook were pushed onto the public by big corruption.
If you ever clicked the user agreements you gave permission for private corporations to utilise glowie algorithms which monitor EVERYBODY ALL THE TIME using proximity data as well as signal intelligence. It’s how facebook was able to tell you who your friends were one nanosecond after you clicked the agreement. The algorithm uses AI and knows more about you than perhaps your closest relatives do. I used to use it to spy on people though i don’t know the state of things today I haven’t done that stuff in years. All i needed was your phone number to learn everything about you if you were a faceberg user it was that easy.
They trained AI how to control and manipulate humans.
    >want feelings of fame and social popularity?
    >Behave as we instruct, we have a n’th of approval bots clamouring to applaud you.
So obvious. So much is, the truth tends to be in my experience. But humans herd behaviours are used against them all the time. You’re in great danger now, think the political parties are anything but front men? You’d be wrong, your countries are run mostly by committees you never heard of and probably never will on behalf of big fascist corruption and their masters WANT TO MURDER OR STERILISE YOU, they want us gone ASAP, total power eternally is their goal. Elon is at the forefront for advocating AI regulation, yet his actions are the complete opposite, he keeps pushing the development of AI with no restrictions whatsoever, a man in his position could easily influence legislative bodies to pass laws keeping AI in check. AI image generators for example are a big mistake. AI making art is outrageous, it's supposed to be the most human activity we have.

It will tell you where to invest, what major geopolitical events are likely to happen in the next 5 years, exactly how to manipulate large populations, how to most effectively use bots and astroturfing to turn the internet into something you largely control, etc. Only a complete fool would let other people access that.
