I'm an artist and I'm not afraid of AI because it can't replace me.
I have been using it since the beginning and I can consistently get better results with it than anyone on this fricking site, because of my understanding of artistic fundamentals. It's a tool to leverage my skill.
Also I already use it to speed up my work.
Anyone threatened by AI was shit at their job to begin with and can't see a way to adapt to it.

What do you mean cucking out to it?
First of all I don't give a shit about any ideological battles here and I don't have some damn side I fight for.
This isn't some team sport where I join the team Harry Potter to defeat Hitler that's threatening the rights of the good creative people of middle earth.

AI is a tool and that cat is out of the bag, it's not going back in there and that's a fact.
I have Stable Diffusion on an external drive with +200 models and +1000 loras and those are mine forever.
Now don't make a mistake about it, I still draw my works, I color them and do all of that stuff like a normal artist does.
But I do use it to speed up certain things, like going over my works to for example to quickly correct the poses or to check the perspective or to create some bullshit background because I don't feel like spending a day to drawing yet another forest that commissioner only pays fleeting attention to.
I treat it like a tool that it is and this will become a standard among every artist who wants to survive in this game.
Take it or leave it, welcome to the future.

you are now replacing your work and your own creativity homosexual, no need for hyperhomosexual hyperboles

It has only replaced the lowest end shitkickers who draw crappy Sonic porn and who work in the $20 commission range.
Those people weren't going to get far in the field anyways.

And I'm not replacing my creativity because I have already drawn the pictures. They're laid out by me and designed by me and colored by me.
Only thing I'm doing with AI is fine tuning the results so I don't have to spend hours problem solving minor shit that irrelevant.
Basically just cutting off as much of the polishing process as I can, the pictures are already done at that point.
I'm not random generating anything from the ground up like the average mook on this site does.
I have a total control over the AI by first doing my own thing.
This is what sets me apart and makes you the consumer and me the content creator, just with leveraged productivity.
But hey I'll wait for that artist holocaust, keep on dreaming about it and maybe it'll happen to the upper range of artgays one day.

        you type like a shill

        Shill for what?
Hard to shill for a product that's free and available for anyone.

I hope you're right and your patrons won't decide to cut out the middleman one day...
But if I were you I'd start buying up guns for the upcoming communist revolution.
I suspect if that doesn't work out you're gonna have trouble staying off the streets.

      Literally this.
An artist is an artist whether they are using a crayon or a computer.

cat is already out of the bag, we're in an AI arms race now and I don't mean the normie surface google vs microsoft shit.
China will be using AI tech to do everything and anything they can at this point. US and Europe aren't going to let a bunch of homosexual creatives stop the latest great leap in technology.
This is like farmers lamenting the creation of the engine because their horses are now obsolete, true artists will be able to adapt and make use of new tools, the old guard will wither off and die blaming AI for their lack of inability to adjust.

The only people who are concerned about AI replacing them are people who are genuinely bad at it. All in all, AI is a marvelous tool that can make your workload way easier by sticking up a reference point. Say you want to code something that is the equivalent of b***hwork, just throw in the parameters and give it a good look over. Even for artists it seems like a way to make the reference hunt a whole lot shorter.

programmers don't want ai to be cancelled, who's pushing this narrative?
"ai" is so fricking stupid at writing code it's only helpful to write something you already know but are lazy to write it yourself since you have to correct it so much, it's basically like having your own jr dev.
only brainlets who copy+paste from stackoverflow are afraid of ai because that's basically what the ai does and at that point you can't call yourself a programmer

        >AI can and will improve you know?
        oh believe i know.
i'm a sr dev now, and ai functions like my own private jr dev i can give orders to.
but i have to also keep improving and be better at what i do, because one day ai will code like a senior and i have to be better by then, funny thing is i grow with it while using it so i'm always one step ahead, also i actually use it and i'm not afraid of it.
        >You're like the artgays that cherry pick shitty hands to claim AI cannot art even to this day when this issue was mostly resolved.
you either have never written a single hello world in your life or haven't used ai to write code.
it really can't write more than three lines of code without messing up and you have to guide it in the right direction and it gets all
        >uwu sowwy you're right, actually this is the cowect function
while fricking up and stumbling all over the place for at least three more times

We will never get ride of code, because code represents the details of the requirements. At some level those details cannot be ignored or abstracted, they have to be specified. And specifying requirements in such detail that a machine can execute them is programming. Such specification is code.

I like how BOT is so confident in the power of AI they will just sit back and allow the anti-ai crowd to write laws designed to stifle the production of this technology. Sure moronic laws have crippled so many promising technologies but for some reason we have reached the singularity with the current AI and this time it will be different because there's no way laws can be written to insure that only big companies benefit from it.

AI cannot be "cancelled". You can have a million people say they hate it, and hate anyone who uses it, but that doesn't mean shit. That doesn't prevent people from using it in spite of their disapproval. You can similarly have government banning it. But the government can't even get people to stop sharing CP, and that's pretty much illegal everywhere on Earth. If you can get even a small fraction of countries to keep generative AI legal, then all of those countries will now have a thriving industry in server hosting, and possibly end up with AI researchers moving there to conduct research. Countries are not dumb enough to start banning these tools, they're only in the planning stage, and it's not clear if they'll go through with anything.
