>20 years of stagnant technology
>something new comes along
>surprised people are raving about it
It's not even new. It's a fad line nfts
>its not new, its 4 years old
>vs everything else that's 30+ years old
>meanwhile AI has only been mainstream for a few months in reality
For it to be a fad it would have to be useless and overhyped. So far it delivers and continues to surprise people. Can’t be said for blockchain jpgs that almost every normie knew was a scam the minute they heard about it.
It's literally just the same bait thread over and over again about "AI is going to le replace your job."
Literally no actually substantive discussion about the technology itself.
Have you tried growing thicker skin? Try putting all that regex you learned to good use by making filters for yourself, crybaby whingebag gay.
Yeah, I don't think this shit will replace programmers in general. Sure, it can give you function definitions that MAY work well, but it's not capable of parsing 500+ pajeet written files of JS and refactor them into readable CoffeeScript. Then again, neither can I
Wake me up when it can make scientific discoveries instead off repeating shit it read on the internet.
AI is currently in the same state as VR, just a novelty.
i'm actually enjoying the existential crisis most people are having after the realization that they can be replaced by an nvidia card
how teche-boigy has fallen
genuinely hope that software engineering as a job becomes destroyed by transformer models because i hate the entire industry and i have other shit to fall back on anyway. that having been said: i'm not holding my breath either. gonna keep collecting absolute fuckloads of money to do basically nothing until the bitter end of it
>just a novelty.
definitely not, its 100x better than google/stackoverflow and saves time from reading shitty api documentations
it is impressive i found myself going back to google pretty quickly tbh
It really does make shit up far too often.
>It really does make shit up far too often.
This, I asked where to edit some open source applications and it would get the filenames wrong but have the function names correct, then i'd have to correct it and it would tell me I was right then give me th ecorrect file with the function, but then the function would be incorrect, I'd correct it and then it woudl finally give me what I wanted.
If you have no clue what you're doing it can fuck up pretty badly until you whip it.
gay OP is never right
>ctrl+f instead of the much more reliable built-in search field
Why do people do this?
do you not know what a joke is
this board is unreadable with so many threads being about chat bots every day, it was bad even before the demo yesterday
You forgot the stable difusion threads.
>not using filters
People are talking about technology on the technology board, truly unthinkable.
GPT is the crypto of BOT of BOT.
so what you're saying is I should be buying in now and go all in on this in order to becoming filthy fucking rich?
You can filter it
But we do really need an ai board, almosy every board has at least 2 threads
