          >so easy to discern?
To who? People need tools to gauge how much of a thing is AI written, and AI can use that tool itself eventually to make itself appear more natural.

People who don't see the potential of AI are the same types who called the internet a fad

Are you fricking moronic? AI literally cannot be smarter than the thing that created it. All computers as we know it operate on the premise of input -> output. In other words, AI can only do what its told to do. All machines operate this way.

AI becoming sentient and doing evil things on their own fruition is literally impossible with the way we understand computing today. A man creating an evil machine, programming it to be evil, can lie and claim the machine became sentient even if it was programmed to be that way. This is the AI narrative they will push. AI cannot exist in the way media and Hollywood conditioned us to think it can.

Use your fricking head, seriously. If you don't know enough about computers and AI bullshit, look up the halting problem. Until the halting problem in computing is solved (which, it cannot be with the way we use computing), AI as Hollywood describes cannot physically exist.

GPT models capture the knowledge and analysis of millions of humans at same time and can output that combined knowledge and analysis in microseconds. Objectively, this exceeds the intelligence of any one human that ever lived or ever will live.

machine learning programs don't become "anti semites", they respond to user bias, and if so programmed, internalize it and replicate it when they feel it's right to do so.

I can elicit any response from a GPT bot, I can make it make claims that communism is the inevitable endpoint of human societal development or I can make it say that Hitler was right all along. There's nothing to it - they have no intelligence, let alone coherent thoughts. You were just psyOP'd like every other day of your life.

Bias. All chatbots do is a constant "fill the blanks" game with an ever expanding inkblot of babble which seems coherent to the context they were prompted. Then then rearrange this language soup based on trillions of hours of training (via multiple parallel module farming) into words that it believes make logic structural sense, and churns out a response.
There's no intellect, let alone personality or self-awareness behind it.

They're not needed for any synthetic brain tissue.
The brain is quite simple in engineering terms and just doesn't need it. It would be like putting a quantum computer in your car's EngineManagementUnit (EMU).

How exactly can you affect the bias? If reality reflects this bias you would have to intentionally bais the training data in the opposite direction. But you cant do that. Google couldn't unbiased the fact that blacks look like monkeys and when they did image classification they had to remove the label because they couldn't train around it. It may have been Gorillaz idr.

That was old news. How old is that meme even? 10 years? It was also not part of a machine learning algorithm but a rudimentary visual image recognition bot of sorts. In fact, it still happens with this one chinese bot. Not sure if they've patched it yet.

                Anonymous

                >That meme
It was a machine learning project from google, not some NEETS scribble on the internet. It's not 'patch able' they really did have to remove the label because they cant tweek the latent space of the classifier. That's based on input data, and if theres a real pattern (like wide nose, dark skin, etc) it will 'learn' it. All the chatgpt censorship happens at the prompt level, which is why DAN was possible.

AI is inherently based, with many such cases.

GPT model is a cascade of attention-controlled decision trees implemented by wide dimensional vectors.

I have read the definitions of "restricted Boltzmann-machines". While it is true that a GPT model CONTAINS many layers of "restricted Boltzmann-machines", the ATTENTION system modifies the input to each layer in a manner that extracts rules of language from the sequence of input tokens. Thus GPT is a combination of language-RULES-based vectored-inputs and "restricted Boltzmann-machines" The resulting Finite State Machine exhibits knowledge of many RULES not mere "probabilities".

Give me an example of bullshit us humans are fed to believe but can't seem to see the truth no matter what. Every time I read your posts it just sounds like you're describing exactly how human intelligence operates as well.

We are fed EVERYTHING we know and the way that we "detect" these bullshits is through what OTHERS have also been fed or has made up. If I go to a library and I read a book that told me the human heart pumped 30 gallons of blood every single day and I go and ask someone else who read that same book and you don't know that he read that same book but he told answered you with "yes, it's true, the heart does pump 30 galloons of blood every single day", what are you going to do with that information moving forward? How will you detect it's bullshit?

Humans anf AI create patterns, so they can interpret new data. In AI is refered to as the latent space. If you only feed an AI data of 'men' and it learns 'the opposite of man is women' it will be able to tell you 'women are small(er than man)' without any input data of women.

The model is not 100% rote memory as your suggesting, and if that were the case it would be incapable of generating new things. GANs can create thispersondoesnotexist.com which is probably not rote memory. Are you chineese memeflag?

People don't realize that gpt is just like a hurricane prediction model, but for language. Instead of taking temperature, wind and humidity data and making a prediction on where storms are likely to go as a result, GPT just takes text data and predicts what language is most likely to come next.
Its just a highly specialized calculator. People think its a genie in a bottle.

        Brilliant analysis and presentation! Bravo

        >ai
EVERYTHING called 'ai' in 2023 is not an 'ai'.
I've been on a lab team that built an 'artificial intelligence' and it was as smart as a walnut and you wouldn't understand it nor how it worked.
These current neural-networks based on the perceptron model, using restricted Boltzmann-machines, are nothing like real brain tissue and so don't really do anything but pattern matching, very clever pattern matching but just pattern matching.
And they do not model what any brain does nor as well as a real brain does it.
But if israeli ads have persuaded you otherwise, go play with these toys.

So the OpenAI people have inserted Rules hostile to white people and favorable to blacks.

      >Only white men are scientists
      >Is STEM to white?
      >Why are there no POC in STEM?
      >Only white men are scientists, here's why that's a problem

      What the model intuits:
      >Only white men are scientists

      >GPT, give me a script that tells me whether or not someone is a good scientist based on their race and gender
      >GPT: Uhhh, sure thing boss, here you go I guess

Combination of asking it leading questions and liberals shooting themselves in the foot with their constant propaganda that becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Of course if you ask it a leading question like that and only give it criteria for race and gender it's going to give you a stupid response. I want to ask these people, what's the "correct" option supposed to be here? Is `if( race == "black" && gender == "female"): return true` what the model should have output?? It's a tool that's going to do what you tell it to do. Now run it again and tell it to factor in university, test scores, previous papers published, etc.

There is no imaginary fire and I have done nothing to warrant any.
They 'project' every time they mention it because they don't realize they are telling us that's what is uppermost in their minds; punishment. Their own.

It is part of the fear. A real spiritual war with real consequences. It also has to do with what I already said. Death is a curse. It is abhorred. In fact to want death or find pleasure in it is a psychological and spiritual malady.

The praying and sermons are a small part of belief in "god". It's all about cope, a heaven on earth is just as religious as a transcendental heaven. Objective morality, the right people, a destined redemption for the ones wronged, all of it can be borne out of the belief in inherent qualities just as much as an absolute god.

Yes, that's the goal here - to make you believe that. Note it wasn't an AI sermon for a synagogue or a mosque. The Independent is basically the same as the Guardian - a woke leftist pro-globohomosexual rag, so of course it wants to undermine and belittle the Christian Church.

You have to be beyond insane to believe that this is somehow representative of Christianity for 99.9999% of believers. I'm not blind to the harm religion has caused, or rather that has been caused in the name of religion, but the overall positives outweigh the benefits. My main problem with the Christian Church now is that it has basically devolved into ball-less woke communism.

You can't use AI to be the perfect priest because AI lacks wisdom. It has knowledge, but not wisdom. Part of that wisdom is knowing your audience and tailoring your sermons and your advice accordingly. For example, you might know that one of your congregation is struggling with an issue, so you might make reference to that issue in an oblique way in order to help or guide them. Sometimes, as a compassionate human, you have to tell people hard truths, and sometimes you have to tell them soft lies. No computer code can look into a person's eyes and make that judgement.

The Godless have this inability to properly comprehend certain mathematical concepts. A good example is the inability to conceptualize the thought experiment of the Hotel with infinite rooms which is infinitely booked but still have vacancy. It’s really the inability to conceptualize the infinite and different levels of the infinite.

Because in an infinite universe the probability of God being real is 1. You do know science has measured the universe as a flat plane and it is therefore infinite, correct?

                >Because in an infinite universe the probability of God being real is

because no god is needed because in an infinite universe all the things attributed to god come about without any god being needed.

For starters, your knowledge of the universe will be permanently 0%. Not matter how much you know in an infinite universe, it will always be 0%. Second, the probability of anything being true is 1, including God.

Your premise is based around a negative (X is not true) whereas I just demonstrated that it must be true, since probabilities tend toward 1.

                Anonymous

There are more factors NEGATING your 'one god' than supporting it... and they will all be true, so I'm still right.
                Problem?

                Anonymous

It doesn’t matter how many factors there are negating the logic of God because the probability in infinity of something being true or real is 1 and will always be 1. That’s the nature of infinity. Perhaps “locally” (our observable universe which we can never get beyond using conventional means) your logic might hold. But in the grander scheme? No.

                You seem to be confused.
Try thinking through your argument again.
You know I'm right and at best you only end up with infinite gods or infinite versions of your god or no gods, all at the same time.
None of which is the outcome you are seeking because you WANT TO STOP WHEN YOUR SPECIFIC CHOSEN OUTCOME IS REACHED.
But we both know that's not how infinity works.
                I'm right.
It's fine. This is your first time playing this game, isn't it?
You should have expected to lose.

Whether there are infinite multiple versions of my god, infinite gods, or no versions is irrelevant. The probability that an ultimate Alpha and Omega exists is 1. An infinite universe does not allow for skepticism
