AI is actually pretty revolutionary. I was a teenager when touch-screens were starting to become popular, and they fucking sucked. Never clicked where you wanted, were slow, froze regularly, just dogshit. Within a decade, they were on everyone's phones.
Think about how quickly the technology for it has jumped in just 20 years, then try to imagine what it's going to be like in another 20 years. All you'll need to do is ask the AI to generate content for your own enjoyment, and it will make it for you. You could ask your AI to breakdown a complex topic into a series of increasingly detailed lessons for you. You could ask the AI to order the ingredients and then cook a meal for you to your exact request. It could do your accounts, manage your schedule for you, gamble on stock markets for you, literally no need for personal assistants for you.
The only downside is that you'll have absolutely no privacy at all.
Everything is based on math papers written 20+ years ago.
AI is based on the shittiest branch of mathematics which is called statistics. I am far from impressed. Not bayesed at all.
the issue with these current AI models is that they train using human made input. as soon as humans stop creating input (because they got replaced by these AIs) the quality of the product will start to go down until it's just some degenerate garbage.
saying the current models will replace people is like saying the copy machine replaces writers. it's just automated and efficient plagiarism.
There's potential for computers to do useful tasks in the near future, but people act like they've already completely replaced humans when they can't really produce anything of value at the moment.
"AI" is probably there to stay to simplify some tasks, and possibly take over tasks that are currently done by Bangladeshis who also have no idea what they are doing but are cheap.
But its not AI, its a chinese room nobody """knows how it works""": Its shit to let do shit on its own withouth supervision/letting the finished "product" be reviewed by a human.
Good example: The Seinfeld "AI" show that had jerry go on a rant about chuds. Or the Family Guy "AI" that proceeded to tell its audience, in detail, how to make explosives at home with shit you can buy at the hardware store. https://twitter.com/tashi32x/status/1668685383264247808
Nobody speaks about the price of computational power but I wouldn't be surprised if the Bangladeshis turn out to be cheaper (and better) than AI in many tasks
Thats indeed a issue, especially in europe currently. Energy has become fucking expensive since we started to buy russian oil over india instead of directly etc.
Another issue is copyright since there are no clear guidelines. Plus legal shit. Who is responsible if the McDonalds AI sends someone somethign with a ingredient they are allergic to despite them asking for their goyslop withouth that?
Normally some wagie gets the blame and courtcase then, but if the place is entirely AI run, who gets the blame and has to pay?
It doesn't even seem like "AI" in the classical sense. What is currently being called AI is just a marketing gimmick. It isn't intelligent or thinking, it simply does what computers do: execute the inputted commands. It isn't a true, thinking, learning artificial intelligence. It's analytical. It only summarizes information that's fed into it but doesn't actually contemplate what the information is, what it means. In that sense it doesn't learn anything at all and thus isn't intelligent.
Yet. This is a nascent industry, and already the results are incredible, barring some anomalies like op pic. It would be retarded to assume it will not improve with refinement.
You wouldn't know what thinking is if it hit you on the head
>if things stay bad they stay bad
whoa
Sadly the search engine that's called AI is still smarter than the people that think it's AI.
it can't think but it's amazing at correlating big data and patterns to perform tasks that others have most spent years learning how to
sexiest ai generated foot
when are you going to realize that comouters can think? or at least, if humans can think, computers can think too.

Its too late already. The term is being misused in mainstream publications.

Moravec's Paradox.
The more blue-collar your job is, the safer it is from the AI revolution.
So basically most men jobs. Women are fucked.
AI can't make babies and breast feed them
Yeah, that's the point. Women better realize they belong to the house, the party is going to be over soon for them.
it was stupid of them to demand having to work shitty jobs, one of the most profitable psy-ops i guess.
The same goes for men with zero handwork skills though. Which is good because it makes pajeets completely useless so they'll stop importing them.
Can you?
no so i can't replace them, not even when i stick silicone balloons on my chest.

Its the Biden DoE trying to scare Christians into America First Jesus
