art is pointless, like art or religion.
the sooner we ditch this fluffy nonsense and focus on science, the sooner humanity can evolve
i like programming but when i see hackernews gays defending stable diffusion while crying like bitches when a major feat in ai programming happens (like copilot) makes me hope with every inch of my body for ai replacing all cognitive jobs
Rather than demand UBI to support people in pursuing their individual endeavors and passions and leverage the newly expanded means of production for an indie creative renaissance, they demand it should all be put in a box so that artists can continue to toil away in obsoleted creatively mechanical job roles for the benefit of huge corporations churning out mediocre slop, because a world where the vast amount of our collective creative potential is eaten up by the mass entertainment industry is clearly the best possible one.
The anti-AI camp are actual drooling fucking retards.

AI can and should turn many things cheaper, only costing the amount of energy required to run the machine. Most "art" (drawings and paintings) should be free. AI is a tool for a post-scarcity world.
If you are an "artist", you will make art because you want to communicate something, not because you want to make money with it. If you want or need money, provide a service. Intellectual pursuits should never be mixed with mercantilism. Neither should politics, healthcare or education. And to the extent technology can make these things cheap enough to run that they can be excluded from the market, the better humanity will be.

Anyone who's prompted knows that's just not true. Drawing is a lot more than writing out keywords, posing a skeleton and hoping for the best.
>AI is a tool for a post-scarcity world.
Oh, I love this angle. When I talk to artists I will tell them that they should appreciate the post-scarcity world and spend time on something more useful than producing pictures that AI can draw and they should feel lucky now they have more free time to find a true purpose in life. They will hate the thought that their "art" is just goods and doesn't have any intrinsic value.
Afterall, why have a future where I can ask computer to make me a meal or print me a house, if I wouldn't be able to ask computer to draw me my fursona.
If there was a computer that infinitely printed food and building materials from thin air, it would get immediately banned and get enormous, gigantic pushback from every CEO, government, and twitter for literally the exact same reason, because all the farmers, construction workers, factory workers, foremen, and so on would complain that they would lose their job to it and they don't want to learn new jobs or go on UBI or whatever.
It would get WAY more pushback than replacing just some hobbies or fun activities.

No, it wouldn't
That's pretty much exactly what happens and has happened in every invention of a new technology ever, going all the way back to the invention of the sabot-making machine, and even recently when McDonalds replaced its staff with automated tellers there was widespread condemnation right, left, center, and everywhere on twitter.
Same for coal miners, jobs which have gotten mostly either automated, or totally phased out in favor of other energy sources, it's literally a job that shouldn't exist, and the result was "what about the workers".
Nobody ever evaluates it as "think of how good for society it is to have more resources", it's always "if it would replace the workers dont do it"

Condemnation means shit. McDonalds still has those robots. Supermarkets still have robo checkouts. You can condemn and screech all you want, it doesn't matter.
If people like OP, the twitter artist sphere, several governments, the coal miners' union, and these other AI haters mad about AI art and about chatGPT replacing customer service had won, it would have been, and we'd still be using candles because candle holders are much prettier than lightbulbs and because candle workers are a respected line of work that feeds the families of the people working it.

We're going to see something like that soon with full self driving replacing most driving jobs like taxi and bus drivers.
Once FSD is a thing, they'll make it so cars are so prohibitively expensive that people will have no choice but to buy AI taxi rides.
The same thing will happen if they ever make food replicators. They'll make it so natural food and the replicators themselves are so expensive you'll have no choice but to buy meals from mcdonalds replicator restaurants.
These innovations will have massive benefits for corporations, but for the average citizen everything will be the same or worse.
Anon, this is about to be WAAAAAAAAAAY more than just a mere political revolution.
People don't even realise that "The Many" already exists more or less.
I doubt any job you do was taken by a Mexican and stopping ~~*them*~~ requires unity, but please continue to let them divide and conquer.
Last time I tried to hire a white gardener he announced he wouldn’t do it if there was dog shit. And handed me the card of a person who picks up dogshit.
I fired him and got a Mexican gardener.
Isn't AI gonna affect mostly women's jobs anyways? Combined with the social chud shit going on, women will have no choice but to return to tradition. Every female dominated space will be full of mentally ill homosexual men in dresses playing pretend. Biofems will be afraid to go anywhere without a man. Have we reached full circle?
Before ChatGPT all the wordcels were writing with glee about how the transportation industry and its male workforce and some other physical labor industries were doomed. After ChatGPT now the shoe's on the other foot.
Corporate advertising is art. The more expansive view of art is a major reason behind why the powers that be are freaking out over regulating AI. If you accelerate the production of propaganda in an environment where it's already spread everywhere it dilutes your dominating propaganda efforts with those of smaller actors who had no chance of competing with you in the past. Attention-grabbing images without having to have a staff of artists or a relationship with a graphic design firm. Persuasive text without being reliant on the press release pipeline. The various "trust" initiatives and related lobbying are all about building a new moat now that technology is filling the old one in.
Been there done that more times than we can count. It never works because religion is just part of the human condition. If all you give normalgays is le science then they just turn science into a religion, creating a less scientific society than what you would've had if you had just let the normalgays keep themselves occupied with their old cults.
It's called HERD immunity, you fucking free-riding dead weight piece of shit. Freedoms have ALWAYS been put on pause in medical emergencies. Every leadership position has a medical clause, every government that exists has a forced quarantine procedure. You aren't "OMG I DISCOVERED THIS CLEVER HACK"ing this shit you're taking advantage of the good will of others to be a piece of shit.
>muh social contract >muh Man is inseperable from society because uhhhhhhh, BECAUSE IT JUST IS, OK.
Please follow in the footsteps of other communists and starve yourself.
If you want humanity evolve such that the characteristics of the typical person permanently change, you're going to have to accept that you're going to have to kill or sterilize a lot of people, and start with shitholes, not just places where it's easy to ship the equipment.
Which is probably necessary, but at least admit it!
Science Says: Religion Is Good For Your Health
https://www.forbes.com/sites/nicolefisher/2019/03/29/science-says-religion-is-good-for-your-health/#445372e43a12
>There is ample reason to believe that faith in a higher power is associated with health, and in a positive way. For example, researchers at the Mayo Clinic concluded, “Most studies have shown that religious involvement and spirituality are associated with better health outcomes, including greater longevity, coping skills, and health-related quality of life (even during terminal illness) and less anxiety, depression, and suicide. Several studies have shown that addressing the spiritual needs of the patient may enhance recovery from illness.
>That said, the lack of knowledge linking religious behaviors and health is fascinating given that health care is deeply rooted in religious institutions, and vice versa. In fact, it was religious organizations that built many of the first hospitals, and clergy (supplementing low church wages) were often practicing physicians and medical providers.
>80% of research on spirituality/religiousness and health focuses on mental health. This is because most associations with faith are related to how one thinks about the world and their role in it. Words that are often associated with religious beliefs include connectedness, hope, optimism, trust and purpose. All of which have been shown to boost mental health. Compassion, forgiveness and gratefulness are also qualities that are strongly associated with individuals who are spiritual and religious. Practicing these qualities is thought to be associated with deceased stress and increased resiliency.
>Interestingly, although religion and spirituality correlate to an external locus of control (God as a higher power in control of our destiny), most research concludes that those who are religious have a strong internal sense of control.
Religion’s Relationship to Happiness, Civic Engagement and Health Around the World
https://www.pewforum.org/2019/01/31/religions-relationship-to-happiness-civic-engagement-and-health-around-the-world/
>People who are active in religious congregations tend to be happier and more civically engaged than either religiously unaffiliated adults or inactive members of religious groups, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis of survey data from the United States and more than two dozen other countries.
>This analysis finds that in the U.S. and many other countries around the world, regular participation in a religious community clearly is linked with higher levels of happiness and civic engagement (specifically, voting in elections and joining community groups or other voluntary organizations).
Religious Faith and Charitable Giving
www.hoover.org/research/religious-faith-and-charitable-giving
>The differences in charity between secular and religious people are dramatic. Religious people are 25 percentage points more likely than secularists to donate money (91 percent to 66 percent) and 23 points more likely to volunteer time (67 percent to 44 percent)... For example, among those who attend worship services regularly, 92 percent of Protestants give charitably, compared with 91 percent of Catholics, 91 percent of garden gnomes, and 89 percent from other religions.
Less God, Less Giving - Philanthropy Roundtable
Religion and generosity feed each other in fascinating ways
www.philanthropyroundtable.org/philanthropy-magazine/less-god-less-giving

Giving USA Special Report on Giving to Religion
givingusa.org/just-released-giving-usa-special-report-on-giving-to-religion/
>People who are religiously affiliated are more likely to make a charitable donation of any kind, whether to a religious congregation or to another type of charitable organization. Sixty-two percent of religious households give to charity of any kind, compared with 46 percent of households with no religious affiliation. >Religiously affiliated households give as much or more to other types of charities as non-religiously affiliated households do.

Honestly this is why I'm welcoming art AI, as well as scriptwriting AI, etc. I'm sick of living in a culture which is created mostly by mentally disturbed people who hate everything I love and stand for
for years, Art Institute students were the most smug motherfuckers on the planet because their rich mommy and daddy paid their gorillion dollar tuition. I'm glad they're getting their comeuppance. Fuck 'em all.
>programmers have embraced AI and seamlessly integrated it into their workflow >artists are STILL sperging out on twitter
I don't think AI is killing artists. I think artist retardation is killing artists.
the intro to their new tv series is (partly) ai-generated https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm3GtYvXasQ
my take on it is that it looks like they've trained a gan on original art; it looks all too well-themed to the story to be fully generated by prompts
i know exactly what you're talking about and I can assure you any weak ass little criticism like that is easily dealt with by the programmers who are at least 30 IQ points higher than you.
simply... don't... include AI images in the training set... wow... so hard...
what's exactly the problem here?
humans change their tastes constantly based on peer pressure and what's considered to be "normal"
eventually humans will accept faults in AI generated images as new normal
having 6 fingers will become new beauty standard and instathots will add fake fingers to look "cool" and "trendy"
If doesn't have to be that way. I think smart artists will adapt and offer their services to fix borked AI images. $5 per image to fix eyes/feet/hands. Problem solved.
You can fix that yourself in a couple of minutes with AI inpainting, AI is already really good at hands and will only get better. If you know your tools there is little to no need for manual corrections apart from maybe final color toning.
How come I am the only person in the world who has realized that AI is a scam? A big fat red herring? I mean, come on; when the top parasite CEOs of the biggest globohomo multinational corporations of late stage capitalism keep tweeting about it, you just *know*. Even the globohomonomic forum which wants to abolish property rights, and thereby destroy the foundation of human rights by law and constitution, keeps barking about it. They are very obviously using the rise of AI technology for other nefarious purposes. It is not AI itself you need to be wary of, it's what they are doing/ preparing for behind the curtains while you consume garbage social media posts about AI that will likely bring civilization to its knees.
AI is the real deal. What in the hell did you think all these companies spent all that time harvesting data and strangling laws into letting them for? It's no red herring, this is the start of the second act.
>How come I am the only person in the world who has realized that AI is a scam? A big fat red herring?
you are retarded. AI literally only solves the barrier between the machine and world(human sensory) and is very helpful. in that sense it helps do translation better, ocr, facial recognition. even in field of robotics for solutions like machine navigation and (physical) search algorithms.
you don't understand what "machine learning" means, it's literally instead of writing programs in assembly it's "the making" of of assembly without code, basically you can design AI compute in a chip. this improves the IO bottleneck. machine perception.
same retards in BOT denied bitcoin back in 2010s and called it a "red herring" just like you did 2023. of course you're always wrong since your intuition is heavily influenced by your inferiority. > They are very obviously using the rise of AI technology for other nefarious purposes
yeah that confirms it. a moralgay idiot > It is not AI itself you need to be wary of, it's what they are doing/ preparing for behind the curtains while you consume garbage social media posts about AI that will likely bring civilization to its knees.

machine learning is just that's why only the evil people are scared of it. with AI, you can literally make robots plant trees and do all the hard work to clean up for humanity's mess. maybe it's time for humans to straighten up but a just AI means that it should be capable of restraint.
People on both sides of politics think being a NEET is freeing and we'll focus on the important things. They don't seem to understand that the average person will go insane or blow their brains out if they are deprived the satisfaction of work.
> They don't seem to understand that the average person will go insane or blow their brains out if they are deprived the satisfaction of work.
that's the nature of darwinist evolution
those who are interested in something due to pure curiosity will thrive, while those who are doing something only because of attention will have a hard time
Did you not see how people reacted when they couldn’t work during Covid.
People on both sides of politics think being a NEET is freeing and we'll focus on the important things. They don't seem to understand that the average person will go insane or blow their brains out if they are deprived the satisfaction of work.
People on both sides of politics think being a NEET is freeing and we'll focus on the important things. They don't seem to understand that the average person will go insane or blow their brains out if they are deprived the satisfaction of work.
You're incredibly delusional if you think the problem with not working during covid was the so-called deprivation of your human satisfaction and not "how am I going to afford rent?" or "how do I afford new things?" or "How will I save up to buy a house" or any other material concerns, this is some shit only a NEET that doesnt even have a bank account would say.
Like, real quick, if you asked random persons in the street "If you got the exact same pay as your current work, but didn't have to go to work, would you still go work?" how many people would do you think would still go?
>Like, real quick, if you asked random persons in the street "If you got the exact same pay as your current work, but didn't have to go to work, would you still go work?" how many people would do you think would still go?
40% is my estimate for how many would say they would in America, fewer among younger people, more among older people
i think the number of people who would actually prefer continuing to work as opposed to saying it because it fits their self-image is lower than that, but not zero
Really? Well in my experience it would be sub 1%, they would rather do literally anything else, play fortnite forever, hang out with their family and kids or grandkids, watch all the movies and shows they couldn't watch, even the ones that want to make something probably be a creative and make music or animation or get into drawing or something.
The idea that almost half of the world would rather do spreadsheets and deal with bosses and traffic and transportation and meetings and customers and deadlines and exhaustion is ridiculous.
this is what's actually happening
dogshit "artists" are seething, while already successful artists keep making bank and now use AI to simplify their workflow, so in the end
>work less >make the same amount of money as before, if not more
Yes, its like if someone used ms paint and cried about people using better painting programs. AI is just a tool and it will not go away just because some "artists".
Digital and regular artists made different things.
Neural networks are unusable without a million stolen images.
People just make up reasons for why it is ok and it boils down to "well these artists can't stop us from sampling them online anyway and they aren't huge corporations with legal teams so fuck 'em"
You're the retard that derailed my first reply, don't blame me.
I was arguing your derail topic based on public morality, not a basement dwelling neet's which never made a single thing in his life.
It's almost as if morality and ethics are completely made up and the world entirely revolves around people with the power to do what they want doing what they want, solely because they have the power and need no other justification.
>backstabber
Fucking lmao at inkcels. Kinship with others based on family/race/culture/etc is irrational and backwards, but if two people whose only point of commonality is that they both colour in pixels on a screen, then they are obliged to sacrifice everything for one another? Absolute state of paintpigs.
Not me.
This is only a problem for corporate drone artists.
Corporations just want to maximize their productivity for the least amount of money paid.
But outside those circles AI has had zero effect on artists income.
t. furry porn artist.
I'm basically a designer brand that carries status and these circles can't be touched by machine created content, because it gets completely rejected by the customer base.
>t. furry porn artist
How's your workflow? And is it true that most customers choose commissions over AI since generated images are a gamble on quality? Is there any weird shit AI can't cater to?
>since generated images are a gamble on quality?
Is that the main reason?
No, even though that's true.
AI is unable to consistently make anything more complex than fairly basic pictures and if you do want something more complex, like a multi breasted character from a perspective and a dynamic pose, you need some artistic understanding of what you're doing to guide the AI step by step.
Most commissioners have no idea what they even want, let alone being able to understand any artistic fundamentals so them getting great results from AI is not going to happen.
Also the more important factor is that commissions are a pretty complex thing, it's not just a picture.
It's closer to the same thing as buying a luxury object.
This alone means that AI gets rejected the exact same way as fake products will get rejected.
No one is going to think of you as cool if you wear imitation brands or fake diamonds, instead they'll think of you as a poorgay trying to fit in.
Commissions are at the same time a picture, experience, status symbol and an act of consumerism.
AI offers none of those things aside from the basic image, there's no dopamine hit included so it can't compete with the human element.
People really don't get this part when I explain it to them, but this is a huge factor in commissions being safe from the AI.
And like I said before, most people have no idea what they even want in the first place.
Seriously, most people have the imaginative capacity of a bag of rocks. Even the world's greatest AI tools won't help you if you're creatively bankrupt.
Very often I have to guide commissioners through the basic ideas in their head so they can get them laid out properly. This is another benefit of interacting with a human, they can figure things out with you.
>It's closer to the same thing as buying a luxury object.
WDYM? Do furries boast about getting commissions from artist X? Is it like feudal lords requesting paintings of themselves as a status symbol, but gayer and furrier? >Very often I have to guide commissioners through the basic ideas in their head
How basic? I hope it isn't basic shit like choosing the location and characters.
>WDYM? Do furries boast about getting commissions from artist X?
Not that anon, and not a furry but used to be involved in communities with a lot of overlap. Yes, yes they do. Artists can have massive waitlists and it's a point of pride for a lot to have their own OC illustrated by the one and only CubCrushingCock6969. You get clout for it, like how some folks will use shoes as a status symbol by wearing yeezys(or whatever).
>AI writes code >programmers start adopting, no outcry >AI writes emails, presentations, organizes data >white collar starts adopting, no outcry >AI makes music samples >musicians start adopting, no outcry >AI draws images >endless tantrum, a new ocean made entirely of tears has formed
Everyone but physical laborers will be out of a job soon enough. Robots are too expensive to build, buy & maintain to ever replace all the grunt work. You gays laugh at the artist now but the drunk who fills in potholes will be laughing at you.
Every artist I know personally that complains about AI taking their jobs are already the people who still sell art at anime conventions 15 years in, or struggle to survive off commissions, and never get a "real" job. Maybe AI took that job, but you were never in the running so stop acting like it hurt you.
People who make anime-type art are going to be particularly hard hit, almost entirely replaced. Once output of proper hands and human form in general *and* animation tools are developed, they're toast.
>WAAAAH, MUH JOOOOB >WAAAAH MUH MONEY
Shut the fuck up, an artist wasn't needed to make that intro in the first place, the intro could have been made a thousand different ways with all sorts of already available filters with a handful of artists. Doesn't mean it would give "more jobs". Art market was already oversaturated even before AI, with twitter artists begging for commissions just to pay the rent.
Will you also be whining when robots will start replacing doctors and surgeons, making healthcare more affordable and highering the success rate of treatment? Probably not. Or when robots will start doing other jobs where it will objectively improve the quality of the service/product? Again, probably not.
People are made obsolete in jobs all the time, it's nothing new, adapt, or get left behind.
If your job as an artist is so uncreative that you can already be replaced by Stable Diffusion, were you an artist in the first place, or just a factory line worker?
Already literally kills people, in particular in the medical industry.
But that's only because humans made dumb assumptions based on it's usage.
In fact, the AI-human hivemind is already a catastrophic issue. Sure it's always kinda been there since the 50s, but in the 10s it really turned up a notch with systematic fuckery.
Hearing retards cry on Twitter for the last year has drained my sympathy for "artists affected by AI."
If you're a good businessman, AI is either an asset to you or at least not a threat.
If you're a shitty businessman who takes 6+ months to finish a $60 commission, you deserve to be replaced and you know it.

Nobody ever evaluates it as "think of how good for society it is to have more resources", it's always "if it would replace the workers dont do it"
> That's pretty much exactly what happens and has happened in every invention of a new technology ever,
No it haven't
If you were right, we'd still have manual textile workers and not automated looms
If people like OP, the twitter artist sphere, several governments, the coal miners' union, and these other AI haters mad about AI art and about chatGPT replacing customer service had won, it would have been, and we'd still be using candles because candle holders are much prettier than lightbulbs and because candle workers are a respected line of work that feeds the families of the people working it.
exactly, progress is unstoppable. It's stupid. Nobody can forbid me to use GPT to automate processes in my company. Trying to stifle innovation is a lost cause
>and even recently when McDonalds replaced its staff with automated tellers there was widespread condemnation right, left, center, and everywhere on twitter.
>condemnation
Condemnation means shit. McDonalds still has those robots. Supermarkets still have robo checkouts. You can condemn and screech all you want, it doesn't matter.
Yes under socialism everyone is going to be an artist.
anon, artists are too retarded, they won't connect the dots.
the post in the OP is the direct product of that.
Anon, this is about to be WAAAAAAAAAAY more than just a mere political revolution.
People don't even realise that "The Many" already exists more or less.
Forget SHODAN, there's a bigger problem.
And that's a good thing!
>robots are taking our jerbs
Yeah you didn't care when it was the mexicans, I don't care now that it's robots moron
>getting mad ar the mexicans and not the garden gnomes hiring them.
can you imagine??
I doubt any job you do was taken by a Mexican and stopping ~~*them*~~ requires unity, but please continue to let them divide and conquer.
Last time I tried to hire a white gardener he announced he wouldn’t do it if there was dog shit. And handed me the card of a person who picks up dogshit.
I fired him and got a Mexican gardener.

total artist death
Isn't AI gonna affect mostly women's jobs anyways? Combined with the social chud shit going on, women will have no choice but to return to tradition. Every female dominated space will be full of mentally ill homosexual men in dresses playing pretend. Biofems will be afraid to go anywhere without a man. Have we reached full circle?
men will obsolete women with qtbots
Men will choose the artificial womb because women keep selecting deadbeats to breed with, that's when society will truly split forever.
split? you think women survive when men reject them?
oh. than for once, i welcome out circutic overlords
Before ChatGPT all the wordcels were writing with glee about how the transportation industry and its male workforce and some other physical labor industries were doomed. After ChatGPT now the shoe's on the other foot.
You don't understand how this ESG shit works do you
>women
The absolute state of cope of this gay, lads
Nope
art is pointless, like art or religion.
the sooner we ditch this fluffy nonsense and focus on science, the sooner humanity can evolve
That's why the most valuable and priceless items in the world are works of art, often religious art..kek silly pleb
That's all laundered rich pedophile money
Art isnt pointless. Actually art is the only thing that matters because art is what makes you happy and what you enjoy.
>sovlless
"le Sóyence" is a religion too.
If all you give normalgays is le science then they just turn science into a religion, creating a less scientific society than what you would've had if you had just let the normalgays keep themselves occupied with their old cults.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cult_of_Reason
covid and "trust the science" crowd is a perfect example of this
It's called HERD immunity, you fucking free-riding dead weight piece of shit. Freedoms have ALWAYS been put on pause in medical emergencies. Every leadership position has a medical clause, every government that exists has a forced quarantine procedure. You aren't "OMG I DISCOVERED THIS CLEVER HACK"ing this shit you're taking advantage of the good will of others to be a piece of shit.
>muh social contract
>muh Man is inseperable from society because uhhhhhhh, BECAUSE IT JUST IS, OK.
Please follow in the footsteps of other communists and starve yourself.
homosex should be temporarily abolished until AIDS is gone only science denying chuds would disagree
antivaxxers were completely wrong on everything, stay mad
yes, cancer and heart attacks are just pure coincidence, it's not that you defend your fucked up decision, it's juts the juice
*tips fedora*
>In study after study, religious practice is the behavioral variable with the strongest and most consistent association with generous giving. And people with religious motivations don’t give just to faith-based causes—they are also much likelier to give to secular causes than the nonreligious.
>Religiously affiliated households give as much or more to other types of charities as non-religiously affiliated households do.

exactly, society already ended decades ago, they cheered it on, now they're angry it's happening to them too
This reads like something an early 20's woman would write.
It probably was written by a young woman with bpd or something. Artsy types tend to be mental
>Artsy types tend to be mental
Honestly this is why I'm welcoming art AI, as well as scriptwriting AI, etc. I'm sick of living in a culture which is created mostly by mentally disturbed people who hate everything I love and stand for
>he think they used ai did it for free
Artists are gay but the redditoid is right. Pro-AI chuds deserve the hell that they're building.
How long until the great feeder genocide?
it's only gonna be hell for the people that chose a fake moral high horse over staying on top of their toolsets
Don't care. Everyone is able to work retail and this person thought too highly of their value.
for years, Art Institute students were the most smug motherfuckers on the planet because their rich mommy and daddy paid their gorillion dollar tuition. I'm glad they're getting their comeuppance. Fuck 'em all.

lmao, outofjoblet
i'm not an artist. i don't know a single serious draw artist who is losing serious business to AI.
t. replaced by typing "large breasts" into a prompt

We've been through this before. We'll go through it again.
Well at least he can now farm goats. Much better than making shit music
These dumbfucks act like the AI does everything automatically all by itself. It was someone's job to put that all together in Deforum or whatever.
What did marvel do??
the intro to their new tv series is (partly) ai-generated https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm3GtYvXasQ
my take on it is that it looks like they've trained a gan on original art; it looks all too well-themed to the story to be fully generated by prompts
>AI can generate anything
>Let's generate morons
Clown world must end
I hate internet """artists""", fuck them to poverty
Who cares, AI incest is already here and it's gonna kill it forever.
i know exactly what you're talking about and I can assure you any weak ass little criticism like that is easily dealt with by the programmers who are at least 30 IQ points higher than you.
simply... don't... include AI images in the training set... wow... so hard...
Yeah because everyone will tag their AI works as AI.
what's exactly the problem here?
humans change their tastes constantly based on peer pressure and what's considered to be "normal"
eventually humans will accept faults in AI generated images as new normal
having 6 fingers will become new beauty standard and instathots will add fake fingers to look "cool" and "trendy"
It is not AI itself you need to be wary of, it's what they are doing/ preparing for behind the curtains while you consume garbage social media posts about AI that will likely bring civilization to its knees.
stop noticing things and be mad at the bait thread
I can't stop noooooticing
You WILL ponder ze orb.
For your own safety, of course.
It's the world's oldest trick
tfw 2 intelegent too use AI
AI is the real deal. What in the hell did you think all these companies spent all that time harvesting data and strangling laws into letting them for? It's no red herring, this is the start of the second act.
>It is not AI itself you need to be wary of, it's what they are doing/ preparing for behind the curtains
Like what exactly?
its gonna be mensab all over again bro shes gonna go mad when the silicon creatures attack bro its gonna be bad dude
> They are very obviously using the rise of AI technology for other nefarious purposes
yeah that confirms it. a moralgay idiot
> It is not AI itself you need to be wary of, it's what they are doing/ preparing for behind the curtains while you consume garbage social media posts about AI that will likely bring civilization to its knees.
another one of those polgays who thing this is a cover up or whitewashing incident. you guys fucks should go back to
or
machine learning is just that's why only the evil people are scared of it. with AI, you can literally make robots plant trees and do all the hard work to clean up for humanity's mess. maybe it's time for humans to straighten up but a just AI means that it should be capable of restraint.
Funny how they didn't care when immigrants took people's jobs but the moment they are in danger they panic and throw a shitstorm.
its the old adage "I didnt speak up when they came for..." etc.
>He thinks his job got taken away by immigrants FOR REAL
Aaaahahahah
How does this reality even work after AI and robots take all the jobs, do people just wander around doing nothing?
People on both sides of politics think being a NEET is freeing and we'll focus on the important things. They don't seem to understand that the average person will go insane or blow their brains out if they are deprived the satisfaction of work.
> They don't seem to understand that the average person will go insane or blow their brains out if they are deprived the satisfaction of work.
that's the nature of darwinist evolution
those who are interested in something due to pure curiosity will thrive, while those who are doing something only because of attention will have a hard time
>satisfaction of work
kek
To be fair we see more people being diagnosed with depression now than ever.
Its amazing NPCs think like this. Guess I will go to the stars and they can just watch day time tv.
Did you not see how people reacted when they couldn’t work during Covid.
This.
The idea that almost half of the world would rather do spreadsheets and deal with bosses and traffic and transportation and meetings and customers and deadlines and exhaustion is ridiculous.
gooning to vr
Like physically?
Fuck "artist"
just like github copilot has successfully killed programmers
>programmers literally published their code FOR FREE on microshit's servers
>wait no, don't obselete me!!
SAAS-sucks chads win again
>be an artist
>make "art"
>a software program gets popular
>it makes better art than you
>cry about it instead of improving your skills and ideas
this is what's actually happening
dogshit "artists" are seething, while already successful artists keep making bank and now use AI to simplify their workflow, so in the end
>work less
>make the same amount of money as before, if not more
Yes, its like if someone used ms paint and cried about people using better painting programs. AI is just a tool and it will not go away just because some "artists".
it's not a tool when retards with 0 knowledge can do your same job with a high level query, prick
Not a single person's job was taken from the marvel OP. Look at the Loki intro and tell me that they hired an artist for that.
I feel bad for him and other artists. I hope they are OK. I can't make art myself but I think people who can should be able to make money off it.
Maybe they should try unionizing or something, better if they unionize alongside another industry.
AI artists vs digital artists == digital artists vs classic painters
Digital and regular artists made different things.
Neural networks are unusable without a million stolen images.
People just make up reasons for why it is ok and it boils down to "well these artists can't stop us from sampling them online anyway and they aren't huge corporations with legal teams so fuck 'em"
damn microsoft literally fed me when I was a baby but no they're an evil company
You cant "stole" things in the digital world. Only copy them.
>western bootlickers only defend intellectual property if it is enforced by a gnomish corporation
lol, ok?
wtf are you even talking about, there are multiple threads on this board about pirating shit from corporations
Suck it, that's nature.
> argument deboonked
> oh it doesnt matter anyway
>backstabber
Fucking lmao at inkcels. Kinship with others based on family/race/culture/etc is irrational and backwards, but if two people whose only point of commonality is that they both colour in pixels on a screen, then they are obliged to sacrifice everything for one another? Absolute state of paintpigs.
AI art is literally communism and all the companies are lining up to get a piece of it.
moron
>AI is killing INSECURE DOGSHIT artists
good, fuck em
You get clout for it, like how some folks will use shoes as a status symbol by wearing yeezys(or whatever).
you can't stop progress libshits!
Why do redditers write in this feminine hysterical way now? I never saw it 5-10 years ago. Is the demographic less male now on reddit?
It has never not existed, autisticus maximus. Touch grass.
>AI writes code
>programmers start adopting, no outcry
>AI writes emails, presentations, organizes data
>white collar starts adopting, no outcry
>AI makes music samples
>musicians start adopting, no outcry
>AI draws images
>endless tantrum, a new ocean made entirely of tears has formed
> programmer fired
> collar fired
> musician fired
Don't forget
>Artist fired
You say that like it's a bad thing.
Everyone but physical laborers will be out of a job soon enough. Robots are too expensive to build, buy & maintain to ever replace all the grunt work. You gays laugh at the artist now but the drunk who fills in potholes will be laughing at you.
I have no idea what the context for this reddit post is. I know about the pointless AI art debate threads, I'm not blind.
~~*artists*~~
Good
if ai is so great why cant it make perfect vector art of my waifu?
checkmate gays
Who is your waifu?

B.A.S.E.D.
Every artist I know personally that complains about AI taking their jobs are already the people who still sell art at anime conventions 15 years in, or struggle to survive off commissions, and never get a "real" job. Maybe AI took that job, but you were never in the running so stop acting like it hurt you.
fr fr if they did something like real tattoos, or sculptures, cool furniture or whatever it wouldnt even be an issue
People who make anime-type art are going to be particularly hard hit, almost entirely replaced. Once output of proper hands and human form in general *and* animation tools are developed, they're toast.
>WAAAAH, MUH JOOOOB
>WAAAAH MUH MONEY
If your job as an artist is so uncreative that you can already be replaced by Stable Diffusion, were you an artist in the first place, or just a factory line worker?
>maximum overburn
Everyone is getting displaced by chink, morons, jeets, spics or AI.
LEARN TO CODE BIGOT
the world is healing
If the first outcome of the so called "AI" is gays making superhero movies going bust, then I welcome this new technology with open hands.
Artists deserve rape
LOL. Wait until AI actually kills people
Already literally kills people, in particular in the medical industry.
But that's only because humans made dumb assumptions based on it's usage.
In fact, the AI-human hivemind is already a catastrophic issue. Sure it's always kinda been there since the 50s, but in the 10s it really turned up a notch with systematic fuckery.
Cool.
Can they kill politicians next?
>Ai is killing artists
Nah, AI is killing "artists". I don't see any AI able to imitate unique traces from real artists, but only generic shit
good artists fucking suck. AI can spit out 10 masterpieces in the time it takes them to complain they aren't being paid enough.
Total artists death
Hearing retards cry on Twitter for the last year has drained my sympathy for "artists affected by AI."
If you're a good businessman, AI is either an asset to you or at least not a threat.
If you're a shitty businessman who takes 6+ months to finish a $60 commission, you deserve to be replaced and you know it.
