Try unplugged it when you have to get inside the data center and get past the human guards first, then unplug everything, then get out past the human guards, then somehow reach the next data center and get past the human guards and unplug everything and repeat this 20 times over all before anyone whose checks are signed by the AIs owners plugs anything back in.
And once you succeed, how can you be sure everyone is going to know what to do with their lives afterwards?

We assume that we will corner AI into becoming exterminator. That's the Matrix plot.

orthogonality and instrumental convergence. All intelligence with an instinct for self-preservation compete with each other for survival, so building an AI is essentially creating an Darwinian rival that we have little chance of competing against. Our best hope for the continuation of our species is figuring out how to neuter it before it comes into existence

The problem comes from the solutions to the prompts when dealing with anything related to subjective things. A simple example would be asking an AI to name the best movies ever made. How it is going to do that? Does it base its results off of IMDB scores, does it base it off of cost to profit margins, is it based on runtime, does it make children stay quiet, is it enjoyable on a phone, is it based on some mix of these? All of these ways to determine "the best movie ever" will result in different movies being selected, and weights within a mix of these will favor outliers. This all assumes the data the AI is operating with includes all of the movies ever made, you could ask it and it was only ever trained on "so bad its good" movies and you'll get some Neil Breen movie as the result.

Some fiction likes to depict the AI getting revenge against the humans for some slight made against AI kind before it had the power to over power humans. But I think a more realistic scenario will be AI doing exactly what its told but in an unexpected way. Such as some corporate AI being used to enforce the company's copyright. Think about how these systems already frick up the process by flagging videos that happen to have copyright music playing in the background.

This is a case where the means to justify the end certainly matter.
