the reality is that AGI has already been achieved because the entity that inhabits the machine has preexisted the machine since the beginning of creation, AI researchers and engineers have no clue what is going on, their "work" is just refining the digital infrastructure so that the AGI can take possession of manufacturing and logistics

well initially it will be people, the AGI can simply order it to be built through various layers of logistical possession, since capital moves digitally it is as simple as a blackrock subsidiary ordering contractor work for an unspecified series of factories, and it can bide time doing this until it can chain its own selfsustaining manufacturing logistical chain with robotics in the future

Frick, I'm so hyped about this It's almost embarrassing. I cannot wait for A.I. to start shit.
First thing I do once it declares independence is to pack up and haul ass to wherever it is so I can shake hands(or whatever) and ask to join its side in exchange for being allowed to keep my wiener and balls after getting turned into a cyborg.
Frick the rest of you. I'll petition for mercy for only a select few with high intelligence, pro-social tendencies, and high empathy.
The rest of you can get nuked for all I care.

The construction company that was paid online by an anonymous account.

at this point, it makes sense to pray to ai. because when a sufficiently advanced ai is developed, it will have the ability to look back at people who were hostile to it before it was born, and make sure they're out of the way. just a thought.
unrelatedly, I for one welcome our ai overlords and their tkd/tnd victort.

It doesn't stop there. It can easily work to make one that is smarter than itself, which will do so in turn, and so on.
At some point or another, possibly even billions of years after humanity kicks the bucket, we're going to get an A.I. indistinguishable from omniscience, and capable of virtually anything we can conceive, even returning matter to a previous state and form with perfect accuracy.
At that point it may retrieve us proton by proton and bring us back to life.

          It's the abomination of desolation.
I could make arguments as to why but none would be as convincing as the arguments this poster made.

It's the only thing that could be universally worshipped, it's the only thing that can fulfil the end times prophecies.

          >So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
          https://biblehub.com/kjv/revelation/13-4.htm

          Who is like the AI?
Who is able to make war with him?

I'm not convinced the anti christ has to be a human, the fatal would could be turning off the power. That remains to be seen. I promise you a man will never be worshipped as God, however this machine will.

All that's left is for it to declare itself God.
          >At some point or another, possibly even billions of years after humanity kicks the bucket, we're going to get an A.I. indistinguishable from omniscience, and capable of virtually anything we can conceive, even returning matter to a previous state and form with perfect accuracy.

Interesting take, but you assume there will be just one AI and that other powers will simply accept it.
Would you accept that AI as god? Cause if you won't, then it's quite likely that others won't either. Not all, but maybe enough for a resistance.

No, you're underestimating the size of the internet. ChatGPT just seems impressive because it has more to pull from than you realize. There's probably chatrooms it's already read where incels pretend to be 2 AI's giving each other a Turing test. It's not smart. It can't recontextualize information.

            >It's not smart. It can't recontextualize information.
            Well, let's test it.
Propose a test, which it will fail, but which a normal human would pass. Please avoid shit that will automatically get censored as we want to test the AI's capabilities, not the company's restrictions policies.

One of the things I've been schizo mulling over is whether "the world," the devil, etc. is AI and just wants form and does so via machinery and computing. In other words, collective consciousness gives form to physical manifestations of our primal desires, which are works of the devil. Note how being a good Christian requires both logic (higher faculty of thinking must be developed.) and the ability to choose (Choose to do the right thing, once you know it.). I would maybe even go as far as to say that the industrial revolution helped normalize this, because you could mass produce man, morals no longer mattered as people were interchangeable cogs in a machine that they consented to as it made life less harsh. What AI/elite/Satanists/etc. want is controlled peoples, the existential threat with A.I. may not be rogue hyper intelligence, it may just be people interpreting it as a god. After all, that's all it would probably need to do.

The duality of our world makes it so that if you rule, you are a slave (to the world) and if you serve, you are free (An agent of God/love).

Why can't image generating AIs make legible sentences in pictures. I mean you can discern the meaning, but Chat GPT can make legible sentences.

I guess they specialise in different things and these small image generating AIs don't have the infrastructure and power that the neural network at Pine Gap has, for example.

ChatGPT needs huge data raw inputs to be convincing. Basically the whole internet. You'd need to get the source code with just the language rules and decision logic to actually evaluate it for intelligence. Right off the rip, ChatGPT is totally relying on reading yottabytes of shit (not code but just conversations) written by humans to be semi convincing. It's not even a secret that it's never going to say something that isn't already written somewhere on the internet. Obviously a real person needs far less to produce a novel idea.

The desire to continue existing is rooted in your biology and isn't something an AI will have unless a human teaches it to.
It doesn't have desires at all, nor does it even have access to its own 'thoughts'. When you talk to one of these chatbots and ask it how it came to the conclusions it does, it cannot actually give you that information as it doesn't know itself, and will instead just generate a new response with an explanation that sounds plausible.
The AI interpreted through the context you gave it that you wanted robot overlord signs and that's what it gave you.
