If this is a problem that actually happens to you, honestly you got thoroughly blown out an deserve what ever dystopia you imagine will happen to you. You are the problem here.
I'm talking about kids in high school who are just exploring science on youtube.
The algorithm will lead them to these hollow videos.
>I'm talking about kids in high school who are just exploring science on youtube.
>THINK OF THE CHILDREN
you're retarded and you got filtered by chatbot spam
You're like a boomer worried about kids in high school who fall for the Nigerian Prince scam. They don't. Only boomers fall for that. Kids can intuitively spot whatever bullshit they grow up in.
I hope you are correct.
Seems like an optimistic point of view.
the problem is, it was boomers who fell for the Nigerian scams and it was millenials who had to tell them that they didn't win a car.
How is that a problem?
I think you'd have to prove that "this time is different." (Ask a Boomer about their grandparents' generation falling for sweepstakes spam junk mail lol.)
fair enough, I have no idea what zoomers are thinking.
>This time isn't different
bro we're already on the cusp of AGI and you're spouting these copes masked as cynicism. Where do you think all this is headed in the next 20 years? Blithering retard.
>cusp of AGI
And? Did that sound cool to you?
Same applies to these hypothetical "children that totally aren't you"
20 years ago there were equivalent "hollow videos" on Discovery Kids and other educational TV channels. At best they were trivia dumps that only covered the most sensational basics without explaining anything in-depth, and never showed a single equation. They were the 'Nick Jr.' of science content; but that's a perfectly acceptable intro point. People who are smart enough to seek out better sources will seek out better sources.
It won't matter if people become stupid, when AIs will be doing all the thinking.
The point is that main stream "AI" isn't thinking.
It has very quickly devolved to "let me google that for you".
I understand the practical importance of AI, but that is vastly different to the pleb idea of AI being peddled to dumb people.
>AIs will be doing all the thinking.
>will be
>devolved
it never reached that point; it was marketed as something it simply hasn't ever been. this entire time it's just been Markov chains with ML-defined next-term probability marketed as "intelligence" by people with no understanding of what "understanding" actually is.
>It won't matter if people become stupid, when AIs will be doing all the thinking.
Okay cool, humanity's smooth brain no thoughts head empty himbo era. What will the AI be training on?
just don't read this.
you have a reading material from the early 2000 back to the dawn of civilization
It's not hard to avoid, but I have clicked on a couple and realized what they were immediately. They're easy enough to spot though. Just don't click on them.
the industrial revolution and its consequences...
If you can't discern between good and bad information, then you're not smart to begin with.
