So what if 40% of github code is generated. A problem would be if 41% of non-AI code had decreased in comparison to previous years.

We still don't have self-driving cars and trucks.

I don't really get the importance of this. I thought it was something like "41% of the code for github is ai generated", but no, it's literally just "a bunch of 12 year olds used ChatGPT to make snake game and uploaded it here"

not even to mention, how do you track this?

yes it's dead. the truth is that when there is 10% less need for cooders. coding is dead and are already there

you have to realize the system constantly pump proggramers and at this point in an intense rate. But last year many were fired recirculating the cooders competing for job.

now you have 200 homosexuals and some with years of exp competing per job.
    newcomers are FRICKED

the thing is it's only gonna get worse

when there is 20-30% less need for programmers you can expect drastic changes to wage. maybe lowered by 50-100%

and in 5 years from now, probably there will be only AI researchers and not actual code labor

btw WFH is a meme to eventually replace you with pajeet from india

      >btw WFH is a meme to eventually replace you with pajeet from india

theyve been trying to do that since the internet became a real thing and it hasn't worked because most of the time they don't do their work correctly or well

Dude go to any companies career pages and sort the job posts by locations and see where majority opening for technical positions are from. Mfers are not outsourcing anymore they went and set up their "development center" in India and it's been a common trend now. A pajeet graduates form a US university and starts up a small consulting firm in order to stay in the US and opens a development center in India. All the development stuff is done there while this pajeet stays in the US. Same thing in Singapore too.

yeah at that time coding was hard to learn subject without code completion and AI and you could only learn it at collage
in other word it was HARD thing to do no stackoverflow and forums were bad. you had to ask and get answer after 3 -4 days in a forum post that was mostly shit. people couldn't help you online and you had to buy books to learn new stuff. in other words, it was 1000 times harder than it is now

the eassier it is to do, the less opportunity and compensation you can expect

right now coding is very easy. most 18 years old who finish high school can code at junior level and you have collage eduaction grade free knowledge online with AI and google/stackoverflow, AI. anything u want to learn there is ready available documantion

I wish copilot gave me useful snippets. It's fricking useless 80% of the time. Even worse when it gives you what the LSP wouldve given you anyway so you have to type it like a jackass.

the price to pay for abstraction is understanding. For every level of abstraction and commodity that the market generates and deploys, we generate more stupid people. You don't generate engineers and scientists, you generate consumers.

The development of tools that deliver levels of abstraction takes away the opportunity for human beings to learn by themselves. An example of this is the use of neural networks to generate audiovisual assets. The human being becomes dependent on the tool and does not produce anything by himself. He becomes an ignorant and dependent individual.

For this reason part of the teaching process should focus on training people to generate the right questions that lead to the right data abstractions, a topic that touches the SICP book and the functional paradigm (which in fact has a strong relationship with the development of neural networks and how cognitive logic works), however, the market does not see it the same way, it does not seek the best solution, it seeks the launch of products with competitive advantages through incremental development processes.

If we are going to experience a crisis, we are going to experience it because of the "quality debt" that we have been accumulating in the industry for decades.

imagine being a fricking moron and believing this, lmao. yeah, just like, 41% of the code including historically is AI generated. good sales tactic for Microsoft and all of these other dogshit probabilistic language models though, they can't lose. well, maybe they are losing in some ways, but I'm sure that they're printing money with Azure.
