"Kaedim" is an AI start-up that claims to generate 3D geometry from 2D images.
Turns out, they're just paying pajeet mechanical turks to re-create in blender and are charging $600 per month for it!

>provides service that is requested
what's the problem?
They advertise their service as an AI-powered 3D model generator from 2D images, but from the picture it looks as if there never was any AI to begin with while you're paying them money under the impression that there was. That's really not ethical and might not even be legal.
You could probably just hire someone on Fiverr instead and get a better result.
>AI-powered 3D model generator from 2D images
if(payment.success()) {
AlertWageSlave(image);
}
>use AI to calculate which pajeet would be best suited for the job
>avoid lawsuits because you're "AI powered"
>Muh ethics
I wouldn't use ai anyway because it's a meme and I hate pajeets.
people have been taking issue with the quality of the models, especially for the price. at the current rate of 30 generations per month (for $539) picrel would have cost $20, or $60 if you were on the professional plan. at that point you might as well give someone on fiver 24 hours so they can it properly
is this the future of business?
you advertise something and then pay some third-worlder to do the actual work?
It's been like that for a long time.
Stuff like Amazon Go stores were run by mechanical Turks in India manually adding and removing things from your cart, delivery apps in Europe unironically use south American labor to pilot their delivery bots for $2 a day.
Thats fricking based.
>delivery apps in Europe unironically use south American labor to pilot their delivery bots for $2 a day
Source? Also that sounds like a fun job. Where do I apply?
>you advertise something and then pay some third-worlder to do the actual work?
Sounds like the present of business to be honest.
Any variant of Sillycon Valley investor deserves to be scammed out of every penny they own. UBER FOR X, Web3/5/69 fetishism, and every form of shallow tech trend will never stop being their fault, so maybe I don't mind clever people abusing their lust for LE NEXT BIG THING for easy capital.
>startup turks for a bit to gather interest and funding before transitioning to actual automation
but that's literally every fricking internet company ever
Frick Indians
Two Minute Toilet Papers
I don't see why it matters as long as you get the models
who would prefer worse results just because they are automatically generated?
Because AI-generated should be cheaper, but their service is actually more expensive than finding someone on Fiverr. I guess you'd think that supporting the technology in its infancy would promote progress, only to find out you're wasting money.
SIRS, THE NEEDFUL NOW SIRS
wait, is there not an AI that can do that already? doesnt seem like it would be that difficult considering what AI can already to
