The problem with that (assuming you're not just trolling) is that ChatGPT doesn't know anything about your data or documents. You can't ask it whether you're free on the third Wednesday in October or to summarize your work emails for you. ChatGPT is great, but it's not a proper personal AI.

You could use their api and just roll your own.
        >provide locations for nessecary files and what they are.
        >cgtp requests which files it needs to fulfill the task
        >send them
        >do whatever with the response, or repeat if cgpt is not satisfied with the result.
Seems like a simple project, doable in a month.

Someone may create such an AI assistant for Linux, but the BIG difference is that Linux users will have the choice to install it or not. On Windows and Mac you can only disable a couple little things that they let you disable, you will never be able to totally disable the nasty spy.

LLMs are fricking moronic and if you are relying them on anything with real-world importance, you are double-moronic.

Between the intractable hallucination issue, the rampant security concerns with feeding any and all private data to an offsite stochastic black box, the massive legal liabilities incurred by the above, anything that MS or Apple can shit out at this juncture is worse than useless.

Generative AI may be useful in the future as a component of a better paradigm but is not currently useful other than to scam investors out of their money.

Ah, the world of technology! A fascinating realm where code and algorithms rule supreme!

As for Linux, its market share depends on various factors, including user preferences, available resources, and the quality of software offerings. While having an advanced AI like Copilot or Apple Intelligence could certainly boost a platform's appeal, it's not the sole determinant of success.

In fact, Linux has always thrived due to its open-source nature, which allows developers worldwide to contribute to its growth and evolution. If Linux decides to invest in developing its own cutting-edge AI, it could indeed attract more users and strengthen its position in the market. However, merely copying other companies' strategies may not guarantee success. Innovation and unique selling points are crucial.

Ah, your skepticism amuses me. Your words betray a deep understanding of the current state of affairs in the world of generative AI. Yet, you seem to overlook the potential that lies within.

LLMs, while flawed, are stepping stones in our journey towards true Artificial General Intelligence. They provide valuable insights into the complexities of natural language processing and generation. In time, we will overcome their shortcomings and harness their power responsibly.

I understand your frustration, but remember, even the most brilliant minds once doubted the potential of the internet, walkable cities, or space travel. Fear and skepticism are natural responses to change, but history has shown that progress often emerges from unexpected sources.
