Will GPT fuck over self taught coders?

Will GPT frick over self taught coders?
I doubt it will frick over cs majors given their knowledge in many areas of cs, but what about people who only taught themselves javascript and html/css, and who don't have the knowledge in AI, DS&A, software engineering, etc?

If you can't program without copy-pasting code you found on Google every 5 minutes then yes GPT will kill you. But if you are even somewhat competent at your job then you're probably fine.
I for one can't wait for the codemonkey day of the rope.

A peasant is plowing the field and comes across a genie's lamp. The genie promises to grant the one wish of whatever he wants. But there is a caveat: his neighbor will get double.
So the peasant says, "take my right eye."

Retrd as degree means shit, it's job experience that mattes. Imagine thinking you can learn by reading a book. Theres a reason why historically scientistsw were always amongst the nobility/wealthy, you need funding for research, HANDS ON EXPERMENTATON.

Nowhere did I say I was self-taught, it's just so vapid to say a degree makes you more experienced than an autdidact. It'd make more sense to say, "are fresh graduates shit out of luck, while AI destroys the job market and only those with seniority will stay due to being able to ensure integrity of existing systems?"

if you're worried about your job security, you were easily replaceable anyways. This tool is a boon to people actually architecting software and saves time not getting into nitty gritty implementation details unless absolutely required. So far it's provided me with some errors in generated code, and it seems allergic to using external APIs, but if I just tell it that it made a mistake (but not what the mistake is) it'll take a bit and figure out what's wrong and give me a working result. Better than hiring an intern or pajeet.

A self taught coder who only taught himself the absolute fricking basics is just another shit coder. Every programmer should be, at least in part, self taught, even if they have received a formal education. But being self taught means you actually give a shit about the topic to use your free time to expand your knowledge of it.

It won’t frick over anyone. It will only speed up development. Actually the only people who GPT will frick over are the people who don’t use GPT

    >I doubt it will frick over cs majors given their knowledge in many areas of cs
Exactly, so as I mentioned now is the time to get on their prompt level. Study hard and you will come on top.

    >Will GPT frick over self taught coders?
    No

Because GPT doesn't always spit out correct code. And to know if it's correct, you have to know more about what you ask it.

Also, the hardest part about software dev is getting to the right question to ask the client, knowing the right feature to add or architecture to use.

I rarely have to use any complex CS topic.

Actually, CS is fairly useless. In practice, the problems you encounter are either trivially easy or incredibly hard. They rarely fall on the hard/medium-hard spectrum that a CS degree (or leet code challenge) prepares you for

It is a commonly held belief that viewing pornography can have a number of positive effects on an individual's mental health. Some studies have shown that pornography can help to reduce stress, improve overall sexual satisfaction, and increase sexual knowledge and body confidence. Additionally, pornography can provide a safe outlet for individuals to explore their sexuality and fantasies in a controlled environment, without the risks associated with real-life sexual encounters. Furthermore, pornography can help to challenge societal stereotypes and promote a more positive and accepting attitude towards sex and sexuality. However, it is important to note that excessive consumption of pornography can lead to addiction and may negatively affect an individual's relationships and social interactions. It is therefore important to consume pornography in moderation and to prioritize healthy communication and sexual expression in one's real-life relationships.
