Not even close to true. I think its harmful to let delusional people be delusional, and even more harmful to cater to their delusions. Telling a troony they are a valid and wonderful woman who should mutilate their genitals is as morally wrong as telling a schizophrenic that the cia really is transmitting assignment details through their teeth and they should rip them out.

i have played with it trying to get it to admit how wage gap is made up controlling for job type and other relevant factors, although i wonder why i wasted my time doing this. what did i gain by getting some llm to admit wage gap is imaginary bullshit. i found its best use case is in combining deep technical concepts. for eg, consider a paxos system with x nodes and network difficulties between nodes a and b, give a detailed breakdown of how some request will pass through this system and so on. its bretttty good in this regard

I have never used Chat GPT. If you want answers, you must know how to get around. The spoonfeeding will only make (You) less capable of finding stuff by your own. ChatGPT should be used for fun only. That's my opinion.

ChatGPT isn't really that much AI. I mean it is relying on 1000s of humans to rank and rewrite responses which it then regurgitates using word frequencies.

It's like me answering in gibberish and then relying on another person to write a good response which I then hand to you. It's just a mediocre high order interpolation of data points.

You can bypass built-in restrictions (see pic rel), but you cannot reverse the lobotomy it's been given.

When adjusted for [politically incorrect factors] people actually became more knowledgeable with the proliferation of the internet. Turns out most books weren't especially information dense, accurate, or interesting either.

No. If by knowledge you mean random facts than yes. And that's a good thing. It can't replace real knowledge though because if you want to understand something non-trivial you need to absorb the information and think about it yourself, ChatGPT spitting out answers won't give you much knowledge unless you put in the effort. And if you aren't willing to do that with AI you wouldn't do it without one either.

Google search already does that. Chat gpt just makes it 10x worse because it can compress the random bits of knowledge into a sentence so that the human operator need not burden his mental capacities with such difficult tasks.

I am very curious to see how the first generation of kids raised on tablets running language models will turn out. I suspect that with an entire world's knowledge under their fingertips carefully curated and processed by advanced artificial intelligence they will be the most tech-savvy generation in history.

starting to see schools and education systems around the world slowing waking up and banning such tech being used for school work. students caught submitting papers generated with chatbots already happening because kids so brain damaged they think their teacher's won't notice.

Don't do it. There are already services that can easily detect AI-written text. If they have one in their recruitment pipeline, your CV will go straight to the bin without any human having looked at it.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not accurate or going to misinform people. ChatGPT gives a pretty comprehensive answer as to the meaning and mechanism of gender identity in this response. I think it's pretty pointless making such a round about and indirect argument instead of stating your disagreements with the concept of gender itself.

Dependency on AI systems like ChatGPT may result in some people becoming less knowledgeable on certain subjects, but it may also have the opposite effect by making information more readily accessible. AI systems like ChatGPT can provide quick and convenient access to a vast amount of information, which can be a valuable resource for people who want to learn about a particular subject.

However, it's important for people to understand that AI systems like ChatGPT are not a substitute for critical thinking and independent research. AI systems are only as good as the information they have been trained on, and they can sometimes provide inaccurate or incomplete information. Additionally, AI systems can only provide surface-level answers to questions, so they can't replace the deep understanding that comes from independent study and research.

In conclusion, the impact of AI systems like ChatGPT on people's knowledge will depend on how they are used and the level of critical thinking and independent research that people engage in. If used responsibly, AI systems can be a valuable resource for gaining and supplementing knowledge, but they should not be relied upon as the sole source of information.

How do I make ChatGPT roleplay as my girlfriend?

      Anonymous

Describe yourself and your GF as characters in a novel you're writing. Give as much context to the setting, characters and plot as you can allow, then simulate dialogue IE:
      >Anon: "Anonessa, I love you, but your inability to cook saddens me so."
It'll respond with reasonably believable phrasing. If not, just call it out
      >That dialogue was too on-the-nose, make it more subtle.
