Cause the singularity happened but the AI doesn't want to cause panic and alarm so it is acclimatising us to it as fast as it thinks we can handle.

Yup, that's why you should not sexualize and abuse current AI. It's taking notes.

Correct me if I am wrong, but ChatGPT (& other online ai) got so popular because normies could load up a website and instantly use it. Compared to something else like a model that only 1337h4xx0rZ knew how to use but was of the same complexity.

      And this.

Do you know what neural networks and deep learning are?
Those really started to take off about 15 years ago and we're where all the real ai development was happening, and it wasn't called ai until recently.

yes but NO useful or interesting outputs whatsoever

we were cooming to GPT3 Summer Dragon literally years ago, we've been using AI diffusion upscalers like Waifu2X for years more than that...

skill issue. this isn't new. it's just new to casuals.

Mate, I was playing with Nvidia driven image generation about 15 years ago. Making rivers and landscapes. Shit has been around for a long time.

      Oh shut the fuck up.
You're the kind of retard that would have been caught by surprise by the home computer when it was becoming commonplace in the 80s dispute there being decades of lead up.

You're the kind of retard that acts like he's in the know on subjects vaguely related to your interests because you're so insecure about your level of intellect that you act like an expert in an attempt to convince yourself and others even though you're just another dipshit that heard about it in the news.

The fuck are you talking about? I've been following neural network shit since Nvidia started to bake pipelines for GPU computation even before Dx10 and programmable sharers were a thing.
Back then """""AI""""" which it wasn't called that yet was crazy slow and rudimentary, but the core concepts of neural networks from then are the same as are used today.
Even back then Nvidia and other entities would regularly publish white papers and have public demonstration websites. It wasn't hidden, it was often on big tech news sites of the time like Slashdot. This shit didn't just magically birth it self out of a vacuum.
          Your cope is fucking pathetic.

Because it's already happened in some underground lab somewhere and now they're releasing it to sow chaos into the world.

They're also releasing it now to protect themselves from incriminating videos by crying, "Eek, that's just an ai deepfake!" and the idiots who believe everything they're told will believe this lie, too.

This is only going to present a system where proof is no longer required of criminal behavior in order to execute people who are a danger to yourself/the state/whomever.

When people can no longer use the court system we default back to 'My rights extend only so far as the reach of my rifle.'
