You ever look at how shit in the past was all handcrafted furniture, hand sewn clothes, and how beautiful cities were and things like that? The industrial revolution turned society in the soulless ad-filled hellscape it is now with all products generic plastic poison shit.

Ai art is the exact same thing, but for art, and music, and books, and movies, and games etc. It's going to make the few soulless aspects of life soulless like the rest

      Anonymous

Cringe. The beautiful things were as limited then as they are now and for the vast majority the mass produced goods were an improvement to what they had before

Only the rich could own those things, what you're seeing is the top 0.1%. Those things took a lot of time and money, soe thing no peasant could ever afford, only the elite

        Anonymous

Well, nowadays not even rich can have those so lol. also you are wrong here
        > 0,1%
First, a beautiful city was a communal benefit. And the real percent of elite who could afford fashionable handsewn clothing and carved furniture was more closer to 30% than 0,1%. Basically all non farmer professionals could have them. The price for those items wasn't as immense as you think it was, the crafting class would not survive on just aristocrats being the commissioners, they would need to appeal to regular folks too. Nowadays such services are so insanely priced because they are so rare, but back in the day there would lots of workshops competing with each other for customers so they would need to bakance their prices to a reasonable measure of what a city dweller can afford. Yes of course those items were not made to become obsolete and could last centuries, so what's considered reasonable price was also somewhat different. But the point is, non elite could have it too, just not on the same replaceable terms as elites, who would change ensembles regularly.

Industry is illegitimate anyway. Who gives a frick what makes money. People elevate themselves through art and it cheapens that experience when you need to sell it. Society should shift to better facilitate the arts instead of getting a bunch of STEMlords to better sell products to make 7 people wealthy beyond comprehension.

Think about your favorite competive video game. Now I'm gonna make an AI that analyzes the top 1000 players to replicate their playing ability as a bot. I then start mass uploading that bot to live servers, pretending they're real players, enough to the point where there's a god bot in almost every round you play. Is that fair?

They're jealous, crappy, generic artists (mostly "SFW" ones) afraid of competition. And the irony is that most of them are "science/technology good" larpers that used to be mock boomers for being afraid of technology.

Because it pretty much killed a large market for cover art, book covers, and conceptual designs over night. That's a lot of people no longer getting paid, and it's only going to get worse in the future. And thats without even mentioning the blatant piracy. From an obvious financial perspective it's actually a legitimate reason to be upset for many.

That being said, i'd be lying if I said I didn't get enjoyment out of seeing all the clout chasing Instagram artist seethe with rage. The irony of depending on an algorithm for exposure just to get replaced by another corrupt algorithm is just too rich to me. They had their chance to speak out against Algorithms being unfair towards artists and they did nothing. With their thousands of followers they hoarded all of the attention using a corrupt algorithm and they sure didn't mind playing a rigged game back then. Now that the game is rigged against them they all of sudden wanna cry.
