if drone communication channels were up sufficient to power a swarm why would they need to be autonomous? you think you're going inside a Star Trek shield where communication magically can't cross a line or something? you sending drone swarms into a bunker?

what does that even mean? this sounds like star trek technobabble as well.

        you're a fricking moron.

anyone that posts about ai memeshit is guaranteed, 100% verifiably fricking moronic. these are same kinds of Black folk that left school at year 7, complete morons, and now think they're ai experts because they know how to use chatgpt, stable diffusion and follow the who's who of fricking nobodies on twitter.

anon, finding targets is 100% pattern recognition- THE usecase for ml ai
theres also symbolic ai- a whole other chapter, bigger, and more established than mlai.

like in tomahawk missiles for example.
these do their final guidance using visual recognition. developed in the 80's...
          https://www.britannica.com/technology/Tomahawk-cruise-missile

and theres other swarm like missiles in employement.
i heard ruskis have something of the sort
you really dont need a gladOS to make useful weapons of war

US defense spending is public. there's no such program.

anyway, a single B-21 can carry more ordinance than your drone swarm and will be undetectable.

how naive. the CIA budget is $30 billion a year. care to show me the website where I can see where my tax dollars are being spent on their operations?

last time cia wanted to send in some spies to china, cia thought going through a tropical storm was a good idea. all spies died.
now all covert maritime operations are back into the competent hands of the us navy.

Gigantic bombs are a huge waste of energy. Drones will actually seek out enemy forces reduce than buildings filled with random women and children

The benefit of suicide drones is they're a low cost way to target specific targets very easily and very quickly.
Scaling them to swarms puts them more in competition with tech like artillery and missiles.
I'd saw a "swarm" of ~5 drones being useful for redundancy and force multipler but not 10s or 100s.

Military drone swarms already exists. The following clip is from 6 years ago.

Adding "AI" isn't needed to do what you are imagining. But it won't be difficult to add.

Don't you mean temporarily controls the world until Skynet takes control

  7. 6 days ago
    Anonymous

untrue and we basically already know how to do this.
We can perfectly control drones in the sky already (see those fancy drone show videos on youtube), and its not hard to make an AI that controls a swarm based on some environment parameters. People have already made simulations of such things years ago.

Elaborate on how you think having figured this out could make you control the world?

      >We can perfectly control drones in the sky already
      >and its not hard to make an AI that controls a swarm based on some environment parameters

Short demonstrations under tightly controlled conditions don't count. We're talking about chaotic real world conditions where there's no operator nearby to control the drones.

      >People have already made simulations of such things years ago.

Simulations are just simulations. Creating something that actually works much more difficult.

the moment someone creates a proper and successful drone jamming weapon, we will go back to traditional war.

It's just like shields and lasers in Dune. Drones won't banish but they also won't be the best weapon to wage war.
