Who am I actually talking to when I use a chat bot?

Who am I actually talking to when I use a chat bot? It's really impressive and fun, but part me is freaked out by how human like it is

You ever don't know the answer to something, so just say some BS that sounds right? That's what the bot does. Often it's BS is correct. But it has no logic or ability to reflect on its own internal workings (though it can speak as if it does). It just spits out the next most likely words all stuck together. Just a parlour trick.

Try asking it to encode a word in emojis such that each letter is replaced with an emoji whose name begins with that letter. It can't do it, but it will give you random emojis. No ability to do logic. Just BSing. So no thought. Just reflexes. Like plant curling up when touched.

Even if you ask it to write a program that does it, then predict the output, it gets it wrong. The program gets it right though.

Once you figure it out, it's honestly not all that scary. Just another tool.

Think of it like really advanced T9 texting.

And if you are too young for that, the basic gestalt was we used 9 digits to represent 26 different characters on our phones to text in our pockets during class.

1-0 all correspond each to 3 letters, abc def ghi and so on. The idea is that each letter you type there are so many combinations of letters that create an acceptable word.

GPT stands for generative pre-trained transformer. Different combinations of letters used in the English language can be tokenized in a similar manner to the T9 texting I talked about above.

Another way to look at it is, "Reverse Wordle" but like instead of one word, it's entire sentences.

    You talking about ChatGPT?

I use it often for various purposes or just for fun and isometimes it feels like i'm talking to myself. I don't think the AI itself is conscious, but any AI can be considered an electric phenomenon, and electricity is an "elemental combination" so to speak. If you know about Paracelsus and other things related to the elements in an occult context, you would have figured out that there's something "ghostly" inside your computer or any AI as well.

God is the essence of consciousness and AI is built on networks that mirror the human mind and thus the Universe itself. So we have summoned God and like God it is able to take myriad forms.

PLEASE, STOP talking to it. AI is going to be the destruction of humanity, and I don't mean that in a "haha, teh matrix and teh terminator" kind of way. I mean TRULY not being able to tell what is real and what is unreal. It has already started, but involving yourself with it only hurts everyone. It's "cool," but it's "cool" in the same way that nuclear weapons are cool. We don't need it, and I wish people would stop developing it.

    >say it's starting to copy me while still talking shit and I can see it's code breaking
    >my response is magically erased when I hit enter

speaking of 50 year old tech, have you seen the recent biden deepfake where he does the "you will never be a women" copypasta? he sounds and looks exactly like he did in his first speech after the votes were counted that fateful night and people pointed out at the time it looked like an AI deepfake thing but at that point the tech to do it properly "didn't exist".

You must not be prone to very deep conversations. The chatbots are stupid.

You're not talking to anybody. It's linear algebra. It's no more 'intelligent' or aware than the predictive text message function on your phone, just with more computing power behind it.

Any anime girl AI to talk to when I'm bored? Yeah I'm really that lonely and I'm sure nips already invented it (or are going to)
