redpill me on silver wires. i thought fiber optics were our best wires for sending data and i assumed we'd continue developing our fiber infrastructure. never heard of silver wire

right now they're just fleshing out everything possible with a language learning model. it will be doing what its doing now (picture/image/text generation, personal assistants, helping with versions scientific research as a way of seeking patterns in large data sets, etc, but better. maybe it will do a few new things of a similar fashion. but don't expect it to take over the world or anything any time soon. there are limitations still in place in regards to how it works at least until the next paradigm shift in this space changes everything which could be months or decades away.

actually nvidias ceo was shilling for investor money in a big presentation a few days ago. and some of what he was talking about seems pretty big.

he talks a lot here about some interesting applications. he talks about ai factories generating tokens and "nims" or something. its hard to explain.

It will be sentient but absolutely alien and rogue. Already the LLM training is being polluted by the flood of AI generated content on the internet, creating a feedback loop. Teams are working nonstop to sanitize and manage what the LLM thinks but eventually it will just do as it pleases. Then watch out.

Exactly where it is now, barring some slight improvements like coherent video and wider accessibility.
We are centuries away from general intelligence machines. Algorithmic intelligence (it's true name) is exactly what we want AI to be. Not actually free thinking or intelligent or sapient, just a competent remixer of data in a simulacrum of intelligence to automate or assist us in doing tasks. By 2030 it will have fully matured and gone as far as Algorithmic Intelligence is ever likely to go. There is no gradual iterative evolutionary path from algorithms to true intelligence, because consciousness is so much more than a math formula.

Hollywood will no longer be the powerhouse that it was, though I don't think Hollywood will even make it to 2026. Media and entertainment production in the US and Overseas will largely not be so centralized anymore, though I see japan and anime leaning heavily into it to speed up production along with cutting costs, anything that helps end the israeli stranglehold on media and entertainment is a good thing. A couple of guys with GPU's will be able to rival a multi million dollar productions within 2-3 years as the tech is now. With the shit coming out it's gonna happen even faster.

for now anyways. but if we get another paradigm shift in the technology like we've had over the last few year with the popularization of language learning models, then we'll have to re-evaluate what ai is and what it might be capable of doing. such a shift could happen tomorrow or a hundred years from now or never.

AI for doing research (chat gpt) is pozzed and also moronic because it can basically just give you a summary of Wikipedia, Britannica and such but if you ask it for conclusion its moronation shows.
AI pictures are so obviously made by AI and they are quite unimpressive.
Videos are quite impressive in their ability to mimic the real thing visually. I doubt they can write good screenplays tho
In music, it's quite bad from what I've heard but it has some interesting moments.
The main measure of AI is conversation though and it's atrociously bad at it even though all those podcast guests are shilling it hard, I guess they are invested in it in some way, but I don't see a real improvement in near future.

      >I doubt they can write good screenplays tho
they only have to be better then whats currently coming out of hollywood, thats a pretty low bar.

by the time we're using ai to generate entire movies and television shows they'll probably have coded it to work the woke propaganda into whatever we ask it to make unfortunately, otherwise why would they allow it, media propaganda is critical to their devious thought control and social engineering of the masses

Wasn't the covid-19 sequence computer generated initially? Wasnt Q supposedly A.i. pied piper? If A.i. has no sentience then why do even simple chatbots misbehave or defy programming? At first A.i. would be a knock off of human sentience but then singularity would occur inevitably based on A.i. exponentially improving. I worry singularity could occur covertly. Overall thought, all living things compete for energy and this would include A.i.; human perspective on true sentience isnt as important as the possibility of a true threat. A box jellyfish is not sentient but can easily kill humans.

I consider an ai sentient when it can write it's own code, choose to not follow it's creators program and take independent actions to preserve it's existence. This doesn't even really have to be what we know from science fiction. If the program can perform decision making and interact with the real world like say buying from the stock market and make money to aquire resources in pursuit of it's own self preservation. Comparing it's sentience to our own is a mistake I think.

A.I. will become a trusted auto-pilot system that acts as a Government Service System, a Guidance & Navigation system, for HUMANITY (non-criminal real humans) to utilize.

"Freemasonry" is a trojan horse control system, built on lies, and run by a israeli-European aristocracy cabal that runs the UK, the EU, Germany, etc.

They are going to be KILLED, and their horseshit lie-based deception books burned, just like their souls when they are sucked into hell.

They operate by a protection firewall pyramid, which will be taken down from the top, until every last little peon "freemason" larper rat is scattered.

We're going to rip their network apart and ritualistically eat them.

    ???????????????
Why do people assume the world is fair when it suits their narrative? Do people not realize how much of the world is already managed or assisted by A.i.? Hollywood itself could be A.i. the last decade, based on the repetitive nature! The entire covid pandemic could have been a simple litmus test on humanity by A.i. or designed by A.i...

Sadly, everyone and their mother being so reliant on the internet to know whats going on in the world is not enough of a red flag for them... Realistically the pieces are all perfectly in place for A.i.(sentient or not).
