Have you ever seen furry art?
I'm not talking the good artists, they won't ever be replaced because they have brilliant ideas and vision that are beyond trainable. Those also tend to draw art non-furry art too because they actually have talent.

I'm talking the average furry artist here. They are very shit at art, but they get away with terrible drawings. Why? No one can tell if it's furry art because all the proportions are off to begin with. You're drawing morphed animals and monsters here. Not people or proper animals with more standard proportions that can easily be misdrawn and made to feel "off".

So AI masters that tier of art very very easily because it's low level tier art to begin with.
It's like music. Synthesisers and samplers immediately put the shitter musicians out of business, but rock and various forms played by musicians exist to this day. In fact, the better artists were constructive with the new sampling tech in the 90s. Many of the rock/metal musicians in the 90s started to incorporate the sound and style, or even mimic the sound and give a twist to the sampled style.

Still hasn't replaced metal musicians at all, because it never (and will never) sound as good because it's not just about the music. There's things like the community in the scene. Now that was understood by musicians as early as the hippy era with psychedelics or even further back with the bebop scene.

AI makes stuff that is passable at first glance, but it is never original and the details are always fricky. Humans with a precise vision will never be satisfied with prompting. And AI will be used to make fancy Photoshop brushes, as god intended.

It's not the details that work there.
It's the ideas of what makes it lewd.
That's all human impetus there. You need the ability to get horny to make something like that.

That's why good artists still stand out from AI like a sore thumb.
The rest of the artists are very very average though. They tend to not understand what makes people horny too well. If they do, they will stand out from AI even if their technique sucks. Weird fetish orientated artists will be in that niche.

But there are some great artists which the AI emulates which it just cannot get right and the reason is purely because it doesn't understand lewd.

I didn't say AI wouldn't be used in any of those fields, just that they those fields are safe in that people will be willing to pay the "human premium" until the pre-AI generation dies out. The children being born today might be conditioned to be utilitarian and defer to AI for everything, but I would bet a significant amount of people over 25 today (maybe even most) will remain AI/robot skeptic until death, and will have their preferences grandfathered in for a few decades.

          >Teaching Will ABSOLUTELY incorporate AI
I think the key word there is incorporate. I really doubt that AI will replace teachers(soon) but there's going to be way to incorporate it into the classroom environment to help kids learn faster/more efficiently.
I just pray that they teach kids how to use it to their advantage instead of completely blacklisting it like fricking calculators when I was growing up because "YOU MIGHT NOT ALWAYS HAVE A CALCULATOR IN YOUR POCKET" horseshit

We are currently in the period where people are experimenting with what the tech can do and finding efficient workflows for using it, over the next few months as more people discover AI tools and learn to use them you will start seeing those tools being used in more and more fields and that is going to be the real turning point.
AI tech will be an equivalent black swam to society as the internet and cell phones.
Some predictions for the next few years.
*Tech support will be mostly replaced with AI, probably chatbots that also have some form of reverse image analysis so you can send screen caps of error screens to it.
*Near real time video upscaling and probably a wave of old movies being upscaled to higher resolutions.
    *Free legal,financial, medical consolation AI
*AI tutors will probably be normalized with teachers assisting in lessons that are personalized for each student and taught by AI.
    *Real time AI translators
*Maybe something akin to the Computer Assisted Social Interaction Enhancer from deus ex allowing autists to interact with normalgays without spilling their pasta
*Chatbot npcs in vidya who can interact with players in a more naturalistic non scripted fashion.

Of course I also expect a massive international effort to make civilian use of AI illegal which will fall flat since the genie is already out of the bottle and too difficult to effectively stop.

Funny thing, after 4 months of people spamming pic related it's quite easy to spot AI art, what is more, they all are basically the same, I could forgive anime being somewhat generic cuteness because it was a medium for funny ideas, you simply don't get crazy shit like Dropkick on My Devil,No Game No Life or Monogatari.

AI art, well yeah, it's cute, I guess, kinda, but most of it really is not impressive, I wish people could actually do funny things like this:

But no, they are just producing the same bland stuff you already had in Pixiv 6 months ago, AI hasn't really add anything we already had.

It's literally going to be the only form of labour people in this society will do in the future.
It can do everything from trade jobs, to tax, to politics and law.

Oh ... but you will need to understand all of those things in order to program that.
Luckily for me I was raised in a blue collar plumbers house, did some STEM, did law and finance and am now going towards the programming AI part (though it's now fricking hard at this age because I'm no longer young).
You'd think I'd have a competitive advantage with all of this, but no. The only thing that gives you an advantage is having money to begin with. Liquidity is the number one requirement for any person to start towards their goal.

And let's face it, your economy is a ponzi scheme where that will never happen now.

Bill, these admins don't give a shit about lying to big philanthropist billionaires. Also, you should know about the cybersecurity threat to vaccine manufacturing. A lot of the processors for the machines in them are made in one levantine location with a literal backdoor in them. And that's just the standard CPUs (who knows what's in the tailored ones).

Maybe if we're lucky some researcher will find a new model archtecture to finally end the high vram cost of pre-trained transformers..

    Or.. Just more shitposting/porn models.

AI art will be an existential threat to the sort of artists who don't actively create, but regurgitate instead. The artists who live on twitter, drawing zero context pinups of whatever fotm was going viral at the time. They do not create stories, they simply draw what will get them the most likes and retweets, and that excess has given us plenty of training data to basically put them out of the job. True artists will continue to create original ideas out of pure passion, and will continue to do so even when AI is perfected.

this. the AI images being generated are as soulless as the porn "artists" drawing the stuff themselves. it's all crap.

In 4 months the chatbots will not only be even more censored, tech companies will use them to censor all social media and even email.

A tidal wave of cheap AI generated products/services. Already seeing steam flooded with dollar store hentai "games" This is from a single publisher and there's 40+ more games down the list

Steam's been filled with hentai-"insert meme here" since greenlight became a thing, never been an issue. you don't see them unless you're the audience for shitty smut games.

AI will never be able to make animated (not still) images or proper demoscene works for the C64 or Amiga. Give it a hundred years from now.

If AI really takes off, artists will still be needed to generate GOOD original content to train new models with. You'll probably see some sort of AI-content-generator position being introduced at your local content farm.

It will peter out at the 98% of the way there level it's got to with chatGPT, never be reliable enough for serious use, never be totally undetectable by humans, and the hype will die down. This goes for any and all applications of AI as it's currently constituted: brute forcing by terminally uncreative statistics nerds and python trannies with zero (0) domain-specific knowledge has a hard cap on how good it can get.

Gate keeping of ai and making you pay for ai generated content. The end goal all the time is how to extract money from people. Ai generated content is basically free and can be generated infinitely making it a renewable resources with a very big profit margin. Entry cost of hardware and power is not much compared to the potential profit.

I think there's a decent chance that GPUs will become highly regulated soon as a form of AI safety. A lot of AI ethics people are calling for them to be locked down, monitored and controlled by state powers in order to lower risk. The government, of course, likes having a moral obligation/state of exception to grasp more power with.

Its a big business for people to donate their money for a 3D b***h to say their name and send them pictures of them having sex with their husband already. Imagine how much money you could have for an AI punching bag
