What's the point in human existence if AI and automation take over both drudgery and creative tasks? What are we supposed to do when we can no longer create and live comfortably? Is this what life will boil down to?

>be me

>make my own chess-playing machine
>compete against others who enjoy building chess playing machines
>the game has only become more fun

I don't think it's really that simple when you're already at the bottom
if you're at the bottom then just stand up
Chess AI being better than humans is completely irrelevant. It's not about humans being the ones that can play the best chess possible. The point is seeing how good particular humans can play chess at a given moment with no external assistance, and seeing how good you yourself can play chess as well.
As to OP's question, wageslaves and salarymen will have to learn how to live and find enjoyment and purpose in it outside of work. Something us NEETs have never had a problem with.

No I don't think I'll do stem
>wageslaves and salarymen will have to learn how to live and find enjoyment and purpose in it outside of work
So we just have to get used to whatever wagecuckery we're already in, since AI is taking away whatever future our talents may hold for us?
truly I wept when farming becoming the realm of machines as well!
several hundred million people live in uttar pradesh and bihar india that exist completely separate from the economy and just pray from the time they're born to when they die. they've been doing this for thousands of years, while your filthy civilizations rise and crumble into dust.
you haven't even begun exploring what's possible
What about internal assistance: ;^)
>be western onion golem
