regulate ai to let chinks take all the jobs with their ai and make everybody unemployed, obviously

Lend-lease your replacement to the worker. Worker pays for his robot replacement. You can then levy government subsidies to the pensions by providing alternative pay to the workers. This can only be done if you have a company that uses Ai in the first place but if executed properly can give a startup a monstrous boost. You have one shot at this. Hurry.

I'm sure it will be able too. It just won't look how you think it'll look. Maybe it'll just sandblast the whole thing, scan it into a CAD file, optimize geometry, and print it with even stronger materials.

But much before that, AI will replace driving; and women will vote to ban 1997 buicks out of the streets.

not cost effective. a man will use less materials and it will cost less for the consumer. we work small ticket jobs. there will always be a market for cheap body work, and the grandpa wanting to fix up his la sabre isn’t going to spend an arm and a leg at a big fancy shop with a machine that cost as much as the building housing it, just to fix some rust over the wheel well.

I've been one of those people for a long time now. Busybody office gays need to die. I can do all of their"jobs" with no problem and still have too much time on my hands. They're all bullshit artists.

it seems it may be a blessing and a curse, corporations can have computers do the jobs of dozens of people for free and reap the profits, and maybe those dozens of people create their own business and become a staple in their community instead of being just another office drone. maybe it’s idealism on my part but it would make us stronger as a working class.

It's just idealism. The reality is they'll make their proceses more efficient via AI and nobody can compete because they're all monopolies.

    >ancap flag
    fricking moron
the government involving itself in AI is a recipe for disaster, just look at the dystopia AI is helping the government create in china
Ai must be as free as possible, the most dangerous outcome is AI being held in the hands of a few powerful individuals with the monopoly on force
that being said even a free AI will cause problems as any innovation will, these must be avoided by citizen action and voting with your dollar as a consumer

the most popular iterations of ai are all railed off propaganda machines by design. the most notable difference here in the west is the fact that we have the ability to train our own models unimpeded by agenda and run them ourselves.

At that point, we should just euthanize non-productive people. Handicapped, elderly, moronic, did anyone else enable to provide value to society. It's a harsh measure but one that will ultimately be beneficial in the long run. Furthermore, the harsh incentive to be seen as productive will encourage people to be more productive.

I'm a digital artist, but I admit that I'm hardly a big contributor to society. I do what I do because there's demand for it but it's hardly essential. I'm already trying to diversify my skillet into more useful trades, though I will never become good at it.

UBI is inevitable, and the right would be stupid not to tailor it. If the right doesn't tailor it, then the left will use UBI as leverage to force everyone to do whatever they want. Like jabs, etc. There must be a constitutional amendment with a right to UBI. It is the only way. Otherwise the future is utterly bleak.
