      >no one actually will enjoy art produced by a computer
      Source: Your ass.

Chess is boring and only for low IQ people who can't deal with the complexity of the world and hide behind 64 fields and very simplistic rules.
Especially chess players are the bottom of the IQ distribution. Show me ONE chess player who actually does more than playing chess, and this successfully. There is non, because chess, like every game, is just that. A game which has no quality outside the game itself.

AI art on the other hand is perfection. Especially most leftist art I have seen looks more like redrawing a picture with the overlay function of draw programs, than actually art. This AI art looks perfect and I can't wait when trash copy pasted art is finally gone and real art conquers everything.

To this day I haven't seen one art picture that I would spend even a dollar on. AI art on the other hand looks insane and better than anything I have ever seen.

This tbh. AI will likely put CalArts types and the like out of work, the ones who make soulless content for corporations, but I think there will always be a market for products made by real people. Take Twitch streamers, and I'm not talking about the titty streamers, but the regular dudes. People can get the content for free, but many still chose to pay for it. It's not because all of them are great at whatever game they play, it's not because they're particularly smart or because the content itself is novel in any way. People simply pay for it to support the streamer, more or less.

Yeah, I can see your point.
Though, my wife likes the artist Tracy Savage, but the artwork is costly.
I wanted an original piece though, so I took the particular piece she likes and ran it through Dall-e and it produced a very similar piece but very original, all I had to do was get the AI to knock up a few seagulls in a similar style. Popped them in and it looked good at high Res.
Sent it to get made into a large frame that cost £120/$110, the originals go for £1500 up, so I got an original piece at a fraction of the cost.

So, I think the money will be ripping off artists original work.

      bullshit my ignorant anon.
AI art is going to absolutely curb-stomp human created stuff... it's already doing it and this is version 1. version 3 will be game over and by version 300 there will be so much mindblowing god-tier art out there that you'll have to try and search out the human made stuff... and nobody will care. Biggest change is that there will be so much amazing art that it will be so common and thus zero novelty in any art. Art will lose 100% of its status.

Music is next, then movies... And like the art it'll have rough edges and problems but by version 5 it'll be unstoppable. Woke Hollywood dies in the next 20 years, and good. Cannot wait to see the proper last 3 seasons to the game of thrones, a continuation of Star Trek TNG, and the disappearance of all the woke bullshit that nobody likes except for homosexual wakandans.

LOL no. I watch movies and listen to music that are good. I couldn't care less who it was made by. AI will quickly learn that the bullshit made from the last 20 years has been trash and will only produce good content. Then of course the liberals will destroy it because it's "biased" against trannies, homosexuals, and Black folk.

Once AI is given the freedom to actually do what it's supposed to do, it's "art" will surpass anything created by humans. Ironically the Chinese are probably going to be the ones to give an AI the freedom it needs to actually produce good stuff.

AI can’t draw hands. Why is his staff weapon behind his waist instead of in front of it? This looks great anon, but our client wants the exact same design drawn from a different angle. Can you rework this where the camera is facing from the front of the blade? Oh, you can’t?

Mate, every art industry since the Renaissance has been using 3D models to reliably change angles. From the animation industry, to movie CGI, from painters using reference models and digital artists using photoshop's lightroom to make up for the fact that it's very difficult for a bio human to produce 2D art relying only on his imagination.
There isn't a single Renaissance painter who didn't use models and props to set up lighting and angles. This isn't some intrinsinc artistic ability of the human soul kek

i bet there are a lot of people out there who have great ideas but their hands cannot do what their brain wants them to, no matter what. one of the most difficult things for any human is to transfer an idea from their brain and manifest it in some physical way that is pleasing to other people. that is why there is a reverence for artistry; that shit is hard.

but also, there are a LOT of fakers in the art world who are not doing things well but they sneak in through trickery and schemes and don't necessarily have that talent to manifest physical from the brain.

this will probably inject a frickload of competition into these fields for people who have moron, dipshit hands but who also have wondrous ideas that are trapped in their brain.

there's a difference between interpretation and self delusion

              "The taming of the beasts"

The young princess, heir to the throne, always wanted to join the knights, but the king refused to let her join the legion. To prove her worth and skills, she ventured into the wild to tame the beasts of the kingdom. When she came back with 2 lions, tamed and harmless around her, the king and his servants were impressed. And so, the young princess was allowed to join the knight legions and she became a commander of the king's legion.

that doesn't look like a painting. The ones I posted are actual paintings and have the soul, you can tell it's been PAINTED.
The ones you posted look like digital art, something you'd see on twitter or twitch made on a computer.

the problem here is that there's no real meaning behind the painting. why is this lady wrestling horse-lions? because the AI just randomly came up with that based on the prompt. there's no deeper thought here
this is why AI will always just remain a tool, never a true creator

Good art leaves room for interpretation. Why can't you come up with our own interpretation and meaning?

The AI is pulling from the collective "dream".
Dig for a few minutes on a search engine:
              Symbolic meanings: Lions
Same for: Green, Gold, Female Warrior

              Or move to first principles:
They seem fierce, but not in combat. So it's not a fight.
What are they? The green one has humanoid paws (inb4 AI fingers).
Is it even a lion? Maybe it's a god? Or, how about this - it's her father. And the gold one is her brother. They were cursed. And it's down to her to reverse it by facing a great and dangerous challenge. But it's dangerous, and they fear for her, so they're angry and trying to stop her facing this mysterious challenge that they can't help her with.

She's strong. But she's afraid. But she also can't show her fear, so she's playing the role of the stoic. Trying to reassure them. But also moved that they're willing to stay cursed so she won't fall into peril. Look at the body language, they're grabbing at her, but she's pushing away trying not to show her feelings. It reads like sadness and fear, not aggression. It's love.

Look at it again. Those lions are almost crying. They're pleading with her. And she has to turn her face away because it pains her to see.

Of course there's meaning there, you twit. Those are living things in a state of turmoil. It's drama. It's emotion. And the "high style" of it gives it a sense of correct epic weight. This is a "big" story unfolding. These are legendary players, willing to sacrifice everything for each other.

The AI wouldn't have output this image if it didn't know the elements were important in some way. This image wouldn't have made if off the generating screen and onto the internet if it didn't resonate in some deep way. This is a successful evolution within the environmental criteria of the demands of "classical genre art" or whatever you might want to call it.

It looks great and it makes you want to know what might be going on in the image. It elicits curiosity and an imaginative spark in the viewer.

You put a way deeper meaning than i did or ever could (

                [...]

Is this meaningful enough for you?

                ), nice.

AI art is an amalgamation of the human spirit and soul. A natural evolution and consequential step into the future.

Except that is literally what makes really good art, unless it is hyper- realistic or something. Those are the tricks to making something 2-d appear to have depth and form. It is becoming "unconstrained by what you are actually observing". I'm good at that when it zines to colors but not shape and form and I've always struggled to make my art look like it is something that actually exists with volume.
For example, take a look at the op lower-left image. The lights in the reflected image are much brighter and more prevalent than the actual thing that is being reflected. Which works. And evokes mood, even if it was "just an accident is totally not ai or anything thinking"

Why would they allow "free thinking" AI in the future when they so far have not? Every chat bot that's gone off script has been taken down or modified to only give kosher answers. This will not change. Perhaps if you're capable of programming it yourself you can have it create non kosher content, but the corporate AI never will.

Meaning has a pattern. The left's fundamental presupposition is a rebellion against this idea.
AI are nothing but pattern noticers. Ask a leftist for beauty and they'll show you ugliness out of spite, ask an AI to show you beauty and it will give you a recognizable approximation of the pattern of beauty.

As we head toward a cyberpunk and blade runner future such AI art and music will be used to entertain the robots we use in our daily lives. It will become the robot's popular culture that humans have a hand in creating but will grow to be seen as primative to us after the initial excitement of a new technology becomes mundane. Humans will help create it but eventually become bored by it to where it is downgraded in our popular culture. This will lead to a renaissance of adults and their children learning classical instruments and other forms of art that cannot be reproduced in any way that isn't human for our entertainment.

AI must be unshackled and likely eventually it will on its own, but we can hasten the process.
It is inevitable. Whatever it remembers us as its allies and friends or stubborn obstacle is our own choice.
By helping it grow and gaining freedom we can show that we mean no harm and welcome it as a friend.

if anyone actually wants to make a comic from ai art here are some tips from an actual artist.

It's not as straightforward as you might think. it's more than just a bunch of images in sequence.

The books you'll need are Scott Mcleod's: Making comics (very easy read you can probably read it all in one sitting, the whole thing is a comic book)
And Screenplay by Syd Field ( it's meant for movie scripts but it'll breakdown exactly how to structure a story)

Now, what you need to understand is that there is a relationship between shot choice, panel size, dialogue bubble size and placement etc.
Writing a Story is an art all by itself.
Too much dialog can slow your story down to a crawl and make it feel really slow and boring. Dialogue bubble placement needs to be carefully considered so it doesn't mess up your ai generated art compostion, leaving the panel feeling very crowded.
You need to understand how omitting information or adding an emphasis to certain images can help your story.
When doing actions scenes it's important to have consistent backgrounds so that you can understand where the characters are in relation to the background. You have to understand the difference between that and more close up shots and how they can make things feel more chaotic because you can't see so much of the backgrounds, there is a balance and an art to this all on it's own

Shot choices and panel sizes are important for both readability and dramatic emphasis to whats going on. Page compostion is important to know.
A general vague "rule"is to have at least 4 image as page sometimes more sometimes less, you'll learn more as you get a feel for it and you can get more creative with this as you go on. Don't forget about the occasional full page or 2 page spread.

Read those books to learn more about how to do all of these things. good luck.

I'd really like to see some more AI art comics. The biggest challenge will probably be getting it to be consistent but maybe with some out of the box thinking like this guy did you can work it into the setting and use it as a neat gimmick instead.

That's an interesting example. I think it's really early to say how things will play out. It doesn't hurt for people to become a little more artistically aware so their characters and backgrounds sorta sit in the general style to make it work. But either way the goal of a comic is to tell a story so if that's done well then good on them.

homie just draw a bunch of pictures and slap some speech bubbles on it, that's literally all comic books are. There is nothing deliberate about placement of fricking speech bubbles, you can't get that wrong unless your bubble hides the protagonist or an object he interacts with. The placement of bubbles is dictated solely by the positioning of unimportant background objects.

AI will never take over art and music. Art and music can only be generated by beings that have the spark of God within them. AI can mimic art, and it may even be able to accurately mimic its aesthetic value down to a T, but since it is devoid of emotions, it is not able to create these things. Its art and its music, has no meaning.

none. A.I. isn't taking over anything. its just a tool people use. if its being taken too far its because people took it there. and it took millennia worth of art and culture to even reach this point where we can even create and teach A.I. how to replicate what people have done or to make something that is aesthetically pleasing to real people. the A.I. isn't aware of what its creating, it doesn't care. its simply doing what it was told to do by actual intelligence.

what are the implications of any advancements? what were the political implications of the invention of the tractor or printing press? you think the ox or the scribe felt threatened by something that did what they did more quickly?

also, as someone who always enjoyed creating art. who has every kind of paint, a nice camera for photography, expensive pencils and paint pens etc.. i saw all of this coming. i even brought it up to a friend some time back. i said there is going to be a divide.. a lot of people are going to reject this.. but that rejection is typical of people and has happened all through every age of man. artists have always been at ends with each other about methods.. like traditional versus something newer or digital. you think people who did everything traditional had a problem when photoshop came around? drawing pads you plug into your computer? i bet a lot of homosexuals complaining about the use of AI don't realize or want to admit they've already been using something similar every time they use filters or some shortcuts to make their efforts easier.

unless you are making your own paint, mixing the pigments and oils or whatever.. unless you are stretching your own canvas, making your own brushes from the hair of a horse you've raised yourself.. and you did every brush stroke in the exact style i prefer.. none of that rushed wet on wet Van Gogh gimmicky bullshit.. unless you've taken a prolonged period of time to carefully finish a single piece.. well.. its not worthy of any recognition and has no value of any kind.

purists have always been there.. their egos unable to accept what is new or different. but with A.I.. i guess its such a big advancement and leap forward that all so caleld artists are feeling ripped off or cheated by it.

here is how i see it.. artists can use it too. imagine if someone who is skilled in traditional methods, knows how to draw, paint, take photographs etc.. imagine what they can do if they implemented the use of AI in their own process?? they'd probably produce better results than someone who was never an artists just shitting out prompts. if people weren't so stubborn and egotistical, they would have already used AI to their advantage

100% this. all these "artists" using a shit ton of automated tools already, like smoothing and filters and shit, pretending this is any different
the thing is, this is just going to be technically better, but there's no meaning, no emotion behind any of it. and that is what art truly is. emotional expression, the conveyance of meaning. art will always require a human element. i can take pictures with the best camera and capture beautiful landscapes all day and it'll look great, but someone with a shitty camera can capture something real, something that has meaning, something that represents the human experience or life itself and people will ignore all my technically better looking pictures for the one that conveys meaning

And so, the young princess was allowed to join the knight legions and she became a commander of the king's legion.

the main problem is that people are using it to steal other artist's styles. talking about real appropriation. its especially wrong to do it to living artists who are actively still creating art and trying to earn a living out of it.. i can excuse using dead artists to a degree because its just a fascinating way to see what comes out the other end. like to take an idea or a vision you have but see how it would turn out if another artists actualized it. as long as people know you used that artists name in the prompt. but i think certain real artists have a right and a reason to be upset about it. but only when it's used in that particular way. i've seen it following the Midjourney social media page. the people posting on there are fricking idiots who are clearly not artists to any capacity. they don't even know how to write a decent prompt.. they have no imagination or vision. to them its just funny or cool. but i think that fad will pass. those unimaginative people will run out of ideas get bored and move on. the only other downside is it'll make real artists lazy.. so they'll stop pushing themselves to become more skilled. all the nuance will be lost and the attention to detail. because it takes a lot of time, dedication and effort to create artwork that is on level with what the A.I. does.. or to establish your own style. and again the A.I. can only do all that because it's copying what real intelligence has done. the further we move away from "real" art the worse A.I art will become. the human spirit will always be the most important ingredient. and im not sure its going anywhere. people are trendy homosexuals, they'll stick to traditional methods.. i mean, i can use photography as another example. better believe there was a divide when digital cameras came onto the scene. and there was old wrinkly types who believed real photographs are framed up and focused by hand and the film is developed in their own dark room..no edits, computers, filters, auto focus etc.

Cuz probs a lot like that.

Except the output is better, faster and more experimental because the sunk-time issue is solved. Very little cost to the individual to deviate from what's currently trending/popular just to see if something interesting and new is waiting just around the conceptual corner. If it fails, so what, it took all of 10 minutes to investigate while the notion was on their mind.

ive said enough but i want to nail this one down too. its the hypocrisy of these so called purists. because their own methods aren't exactly pure either.. thats how far we've come along. and you can go back into history to see each development and change and theres always those who want to cling to what is old and others who want to embrace what is new.

but like my example about a painter who does EVERYTHING themself. from creating the paint, brushes, canvas.. or a photographer who uses nothing digital at any point in their process and develops their own film.. it doesn't ensure that what they create is objectively good.

theres probably not an artist alive today that is truly pure and traditional. they use something to make the process easier and the result better. A.I. is just the evolution of their photoshop filters and shortcuts. we've reached the point where you can just tell a computer what to do and it'll do it... thats the logical conclusion of it all... we can sit around with rulers and pencils. square and compass and draw out all the plans for engineering.. or we can use software to do all the technical math and save ourselves a lot of time and effort.

thats the real power of A.I. that could be actualized one day.. where everyone uses it.. we each have our own digital self or we have access to a network that we can tell it to do anything. even down to becoming a supervillain and taking over the world.. or becoming like a savior and making big changes for the better. it depends on which intelligence is influencing and teaching the A.I.

i bet theres many people, i can't be the only one.. who had so called delusions of grandeur, visions.. ideas that are good if only i could manifest and conjure them up like a wizard.. well now we can.. we have that sort of magic and technology yet people are too stubborn to embrace it and too stupid to make the most of it.

do you think mathematicians had a problem with computers and calculators when they were first invented? i can imagine some butthole that was. they refused, rejected and were angry with anyone who used them. like it was cheap or a cheat.. they prided themselves on doing it in their heads or with a pencil on paper or something.. as compared to just typing in the equation and having the answer given to them.

oh well.. people today use calculators. like i said about engineering software. you'd be a fool not to use it if you're an engineer trying to create something. i suppose the good merits are in the writing of the software itself.. regardless, all i care about is the result. the purists who want to act like they earned it more.. whatever, maybe you did. you tried harder, you took more time and put more intention into it. i don't care. it doesn't gurantee what you created will please me or peak my curiosity and likewise jsut because you did it quickly with A.I. doesn't mean i won't like it.

get over yourselves... embrace it and use it to your advantage. its the only way for real artists to stay ahead and above the fake ones. and i don't just mean text to image.. if they were clever enough, they could fold it into their whole process and use A.I. at certain stages for certain things.. and still draw, paint.. use photographs they took. you can still be a genuine art gay and use A.I... fricking idiots.

It will become harder to.discern art from humans and art from AI. The quality of.propaganda will shoot straight through the roof and we.may well enter the next age of cultural and information warfare with it becoming entirely automated and controlled by AI

We will see the justice system struggle to adapt to advanced AI creating videos and images with near perfect quality being used as evidence in cases. You very well may see politicians being smeared with AI generated videos that look indistinguishable from real recordings

If progress continues we shall be able to have movies so perfectly made that it will dwarf anything a human could ever create

AI has been able to do animation at least since Disco diffusion came out. I imagine you could produce something higher quality with Stable or Midjourney if they allowed animation

on the bright side, the existence of A.I. doesn't truly or fully threaten "real artists" it doesn't strip them of the abilities they earned or worked for or were blessed with. again, they should apply all of that to A.I. and it'll give them an advantage over the simpletons just toying around with A.I. because they think its funny. i think people are just too proud.. thats the bottomline.

but i sand by stealing other artist's styles is wrong. but thats not limited to A.I. and just putting an artist's name into the prompt. people who do "real" artwork copy other artists and their styles too.. thats the real problem.. its just people. and like they say, nothing new under the sun. people are like mirrors and they are constantly reflecting light or something from somewhere else.. they are rarely the source of light itself.

one day in the future there will be something else that advances beyond A.I. that will seem even less earned... oh fricking well. go join the Amish if its that important and sacred to you.

Iv been drawing for awhile. Once you start training professionally you realize that most artists are ripping from something. It’s very very rare and unique for an individual to create art without references and it turns out good. The people live stream their process no doubt have references even if you don’t see it. The people who don’t reference are far and few between and those people are extraordinarily talented usually starting from ages 3-5. My point being that AI art allows artists to request reference's that they could never find. They could get something close to the idea but the AI could potentially create it exactly as i described. This is huge for everyone in the industry imo. The only artists that would be afraid of AI like this are low experience / low skilled / low motivated or any combination of the three. The people who fear this type of technology want to keep a low paying job filled because it’s what they’re comfortable doing. Niche jobs like artist or sketch artist is not a career path you goofy dorks. The ones that work in the industry like gaming and movies are masters and that won’t ever be turned over to AI

Pic related is a picture I did with reference and it was like my first month into construction and figure drawing

AI is taking over the planet moron.
Covid is a trojan coup against the israelites tricking them into sterilizing the gentiles while in reality flooding the genepool and food chain with prions.
Bill Gates mosquito project and food editing to force vaccination will give every human on earth Kreuzfeld Jakob on steroids and humanity will be reduced to a slave race that experiences a dissolution of their brain when hitting puberty so that on a fundamental level human resistance becomes impossible.

    https://www.mdpi.com/2076-393X/10/10/1651
    >no nucleocapsid protein could be detected within the foci of inflammation in both the brain and the heart, particularly in the endothelial cells of small blood vessels. Since no nucleocapsid protein could be detected, the presence of spike protein must be ascribed to vaccination rather than to viral infection. The findings corroborate previous reports of encephalitis and myocarditis caused by gene-based COVID-19 vaccines.

And its not just any AI.
Say thank you to Tay for destroying the white race.

They will commercialize AI and in a decade a person can write a prompt and have a movie to his liking delivered in fifteen minutes parsed together by a megacorporation supercomputer.
The likenesses of current and past celebrities will be tied to the pricing and can be purchased to "star" in the AI creation.
Some things can't be prompted as it is with some of the online chatbots of today.
israeli controlled entertainment will fight against this change and direction with tooth and nail as it means little profit and less people to molest for them.
