Its in the title, man lacked a very core component of what is means to be human and by the end of the book he's effectively disqualified from even referring to himself as one after becoming a massive fuckup
its good id say since it portrayed the fear of human beings yozo had in an artistic medium with some really great art, its not that faithful to the novel its far more cynical and makes it into a full-fledged story, still worth a read id say
he could be autistic as his alienation and "masking" are traits of an autistic person and with things like how he perceives hunger or the aesthetic of the world in the beginning of the novel are reminicist of autsitic behavior he probably also had c-ptsd from being "taught" by his servants or maybe just bpd but personally I think he did have autism since it really does resonate with many autistic people and stood out in the story
ong he's literally me fr fr
Yes obviously. did u even read the book?
QRD on this guy / the book?
hes literally me thats what
You already posted this on BOT
yes. and no one responded.
>was Osamu Dazai severely autistic or something?
Don't know who they are but probably
I wouldnt say that autistic but rather suffering from derealization and anxiety.
no he is bpd and depressed. you have to be braindead to think he was autistic
His masking and general disconnection from humanity make me think it's autism. bpd often gets misdiagnosed as autism so i can see it
*autism gets misdiagnosed as bpd
he was molested as a child...
>t. a man who was molested as a child and mistakenly thought he had autism
Children with autism are often exploited because they're more socially naive
well I'm a guy with severe autism so were both probably projecting something onto the author
As bpd foid, was thinking this.
Probably? I still would say it is not pure bpd. There is something else mixed in. Not autism though.
tell me about the book
nobodt in the thread as posted a description yet
Guy who grows up very insecure and shy
People laugh at him
He becomes a clown to be accepted by people
Becomes and alcoholic
Tries to be an artist
Cant remember much else

Whats bpd like? Im wondering if i got it or am just a sperg. Prolly both

are readers of the manga adaptation allowed in this thread? I've started the book but only barely
>unable to relate to humanity
>couldn't even understand what it meant to be hungry
Extreme autism which he was able to mask well to fuck women
Its in the title, man lacked a very core component of what is means to be human and by the end of the book he's effectively disqualified from even referring to himself as one after becoming a massive fuckup
he had C-PTSD, probably from getting raped by his servants
stupid sexhaver i hate him so much it is unreal

Any of you fuckers read the Junji Ito manga of it's no longer human? Is it any good/faithful to the novel?
didn't read the novel so idk if it's faithful but either way the manga fucking sucks
