The temporary ban was transparently an attempt to stall for time and get the same buzzword product as their competitors.

you think the ban would work/do anything? literally the only thing he can do now is create an AGI based off twitter users like the guy in the movie deus ex machina created AGI off of everyone's cellphones.

twitter is the perfect thing to help create it too, because people upload selfies so it can help the AI understand human expressions and feelings better based on the expressions in the pic and text in the post.

also even if he does this there's no way he'll catch up to GPT. ChatGPT 4 is essentially AGI right now.

i'd say the only chance he has is to focus literally everything he has on developing something similar to chatgpt 3 right now and create a working neuralink as a addon. that's how he can Black person rig an AGI like thing in the little time he has left.

that's because you're fricking stupid. buy gpus and store them in your walls. they are the weapons of the digital era and like guns, the corpors dont want you having any.

The cards they are buying and the cards you are buying aren't even on the same planet, anon. An H100 is like $30k.

nvidia uses up the same transistor quotes at toshiba for dedicated gpgpu hardware as it does for consumer GPUs. that's why the gpu greed keeps pushing up the price tags in every category.
h100s flooding ebay -> no demand for h100s from nvidia -> supply of consumer gpus increase -> consumer gpu prices dropping

I get it. His competitors aren't slowing down, either.
Say you call for a ban on nuclear weapons, but it does not come about. Would you give up your weapons?
This is is business. He'll keep competing until he has reason not to.
He may want it banned, but he also doesn't want to lose billions of investment to his rivals if it isn't.

doesnt twitter have rights to all the imgs uploaded on it ? it could probably make the best ai art generator given there is so much art that isnt anywhere except there

A lot of it is also illegally uploaded there so... good luck.

how would you even prove that those imgs were used in training data ?

          Anonymous

well, no art can be proven to be in any dataset if you remove the artists names, so no point in bothering with that anyway
