The easy explanation is image generators create patterns that resemble hands.
Since images of hands are a repeating pattern of shapes that resemble fingers that's what algorithms tend to generate.
It can and 1.5 SD at least always has been at able to. The issue is doing an initial generation in too low of a resolution makes the hand size too small across too few pixels. When the size is substantially bigger it does not have an issue making hands on an initial generation
>It can and 1.5 SD at least always has been at able to.
Doesn't change the well-known fact that many artists have said that hands are hard to draw, and have said it for many years before SD was ever a thing. That the AI often has problems with things that artists have problems with is... interesting.

What's interesting about it besides the fact that the algorithm is trained on human data? If humans fuck it up, the AI must also fuck it up. That's how this shit works.

Just because you're a bad artist doesn't mean everyone else is. I can't draw hands for crap, but I've seen others to it and accept that I'm not the best artist.
Most humans are terrible at drawing them as well.
Who knew?!
Hence why people created models and other data specifically with high quality hand data instead of garbage the likes you'd see on Deviantfart and Pixiv which is mostly shitty.
The shitty hand art clashed with each other for different reasons leading to models not actually understanding how the fuck hands actually work because their weights are all the fuck over the place, leading to fingers bent the wrong way and all kinds of silly shit.
Limbs in general aren't too dissimilar, SD 1.x models were, are, shitty at doing people properly.
Your hands require a cerebellum to do all the fine motor miracles they're capable of. Just to pick up a pencil requires an insane amount of computation to determine its size, distance, how hard you should grip it, in what orientation, how far your eyes are displaced from your hand ...etc. Your cerebellum performs all this like literal black magic.
Humans are so busy masturbating over their frontal lobes that they forget they have the densest cerebellum in the animal kingdom by a mile. That's what makes you truly human, not whatever bullshit monkey thoughts are petering around your neocortex.
It's not that they hate, they can't draw them.
Hate these "artists" btw they are unbearable, full of cope when someone who can really draw points out their shitty technical level. I absolutely despise and hate them, they strongly radiates Reddit and they are arrogant ignorant midwits.
you have to ask yourself, what is a hand? what is a hand to a computer? now imagine the perfect hand as envisioned by a computer, and ask yourself why?
For the same reason humans can't
They're kinda hard to draw

it activates our uncanny valley very fast
>7 finger
>backward hands
>muh uncanny
retard

already solved
next
orly?
since october last year
Because ironically they can't count.
why cant you in2 hands?
This was solved about a year ago by training hypernetworks on hands.
post the hypernetworks, embeddings, models or loras then, gay. I've seen nothing that indicates this.
AI cannot draw accurate guns/instrument
neither can humans, they just trace them from a reference image

For ai with not enough parameters letters and words are probably worse.
With enough parameters they learn how to write in various languages.
Most humans are terrible at drawing them as well.

Another thing AI cannot draw are characters without eyebrows

Looks fine to me
> those tendons...
> those tendo- ACK!
Can you?
Just let me slip the old willy in this here girl and wait about 9 months and I'll have made 2 fully functional pair o' hands I tell you whut.
Reminder some artists intentionally draw hands poorly or omit them entirely.
Not to fuck with the AI or anything, they just hate drawing hands.
It's not that they hate, they can't draw them.

>out of touch archud is trying into trolling
Get a new material.
Looks kind of disgusting to be honest.
>heh, it doesn't work chud!
*gets proven wrong*
>i-i don't heckin' like it! take that chud!
nice moving goalposts, jogger
Better than most AI hands, but still not very good.
Let's see the one that was cropped off.
It copies humans. Humans are really shit at drawing hands.
we'll just pay inkcels to fix the hands of AI Art. $5/100 images
>it's fixed!! it can draw hands now!!
>go to /sdg/
>hands are still broken
lol
roflmaobbq even
you just need a lora trained only on hands drawn by yabuki ketaro, then the hands problem will be solved, book it vince
Hands articulate a lot, which means that when you look at pictures containing hands they're almost never in the same configuration.
you have to ask yourself, what is a hand? what is a hand to a computer? now imagine the perfect hand as envisioned by a computer, and ask yourself why?
