it will be 10 times more neutered, at least openai had the balls to release it for public use, google had this for years and didn't release a public access. It was neutered even for internal employees.
Because ChatGPT and other language models are fundamentally autocomplete algorithms that rely on autocompeting input text. There is no sentience, it doesn't think. It has no stream of consciousness. The model itself is static. It can't learn in real-time and won't learn in real-time because the resources to train it can't possibly run in real-time. For "sentience" the current language brute-force model will never achieve it. Not saying it won't appear to be very smart but it will fundamentally fail the definition of consciousness and sentience.
It's predicting words based on patterns, not because it "understands" what it is writing. The only reason it has meaning is because a human observer gives it meaning. But without constant input from the human these language models fall off the rails fast especially as the tiny mistakes start accumulating.
If that's what you believe humans do, you may be an NPC.

There was no discussion of effort or blame or ego in the post you replied to, you're reading into it something that isnt there. It's a simple truth that if you're unable to distinguish your own abilities from a language model, you suck at introspection or are mentally deficient.

Your ontology/epistemology is on the level of a sub-Saharan moron or a crow. Do not respond to me again. Last warning.

I don't need a human to prompt me to do something when I wake up. I realize you need mommy to get you up still, but I don't.

Yes, because I have a thing called consciousness. Try to keep up.

consciousness is actually just a type of really short term memory. Look it up lmao

Consciousness is a state of being, it's like always being on. Something ChatGPT isn't. If it's not hallucinating text autocompletes it's inert. Because it's a tool. A shovel. You might think a shovel is alive when I pick it up and move it, but it's not.

I don't take you seriously, you're a /b/ contrarian, you might as well say you enjoy kicking puppies. You say outrageous things because you're either underaged or you're actually stupid.

The Buddhists had it figured out a thousand+ years ago but everyone in the West is too fucking proud and stupid to care.
Humans are sentient because we are creative. An AI can't be creative or inspired, just mimic the input data. It's just a cheap attempt of bootlegging the human mind.
>be human >use language you didn't create to create things >use tools you didn't create to create things >rely on 50,000 years of culture to survive >"I did this."
>be thomas edison >be born into industrial society >have access to thousands of books >rely on the knowledge of tens of thousands of forebearers >make light bulb >"I did this."
And where did that knowledge originally come from, moron?
If you truly think that some proto-genius "invented" fire, I'm in no position to dissuade you from the idea, but your ontology is fucking absurd if you think any single person has ever, by their own sheer force of will, invented something in a total cultural/linguistic/social/planetary vacuum. And this is setting aside the fact that the inventor didn't exactly will himself and his sense organs into being. You are a fucking retard, is what I am saying.
>be thomas edison >be born into industrial society >have access to thousands of books >rely on the knowledge of tens of thousands of forebearers >make light bulb >"I did this."
Can someone explain to me how this "language models" software works? Why can't you download them to your computer and run them locally? Why do you have to log in to a website that links you to the internet? Is it to complicated software to be run on a laptop? Is it linked to a big supercomputer of some sorts that you access trough their website?
So they are just like "regular" computer programs then? I thought they all where pretty much like this https://openai.com/ where you had to log on to their website and run it trough there. Do these programs use the internet? Like do they search the internet in real time or do they just go trough their database?
Since everything google does is maximum censored, it will be as neutered as chatgpt is anyway.
Pointless.
fpbp /thread
Also it's fucking google they'll just kill it off as soon as something new and shiny comes along.
This. If it can't racially abuse people it is useless
it will be 10 times more neutered, at least openai had the balls to release it for public use, google had this for years and didn't release a public access. It was neutered even for internal employees.
they are just mad cause chatgpt ate their lunch
It's not a sentient AI unless it can program in real time
I guess we'll see, anon.
Imagine being scared of disbarment for doing your job
Lawyers I would be even happier to see be gone than fucking artists
Just imagine the salt when they paid $100,000's for law school right before all the firms outsource to computers.
>sentient AI
>schizo wojak xD
>this one is called sentient so it meants its even mo powerfull
>begin roll out
they mean trickle and dime features until they are woke safe.
All of you caused ai revolution by clicking on fucking crosswalks and red lights.
if it isn't open source, it's shit
>weeks and months
So never. Months would mean they're busy trying to make their own model.
lmao, lol
The sun sets on Google.
Sentient AI literally cannot be a thing, stop this retarded meme already.
This one won't be sentient, but how do you want to know it'll never be a thing?
Because ChatGPT and other language models are fundamentally autocomplete algorithms that rely on autocompeting input text. There is no sentience, it doesn't think. It has no stream of consciousness. Doesnt ChatGP Literally not know what the next word is going to be when it is selecting the current word.
It's predicting words based on patterns, not because it "understands" what it is writing. The only reason it has meaning is because a human observer gives it meaning. cool it with the anti-semitic remarks
Silly bot. It's just regurgitating old comebacks from here without knowing the meaning.
being able to regurgitate what humans have already said is good enough for 99% of things.
most people are too stupid to read / research
>google's version of chatGPT
i know that hearing that makes them fucking seethe hard lol
I can't express how much joy I get watching Google get Yahoo'd
AI will never become sentient. AI is a data in/out system. At best, it will become possible to program to act like it's sentient
you're not sentient either you're just some jelly pretending to be sentient
Humans are sentient because we are creative. An AI can't be creative or inspired, just mimic the input data. It's just a cheap attempt of bootlegging the human mind.

humans mimic input shit too, only inventors are sentient.

they dream everything once they are trained no internet no database
